"What was up with Cress?" I asked Clarke when she returned back from her bedroom, Cress no longer in hand.

"I don't know. I think she saw a bird or something." Clarke took her spot next to me, moving my feet to rest on top of her thighs. Playing the Christmas movie we selected for this years Christmas Eve while dad was out finishing off his shift and shopping her procrastinated on doing.

Not a couple of minutes go by and there's someone knocking on our door. Clarke looked over at me and gave me the pleading eyes.

"Fine I'll get it. Probably some Christmas carolers." I mumbled under my breath walking towards the door.

I half hoped it was actually Christmas carolers standing outside my door, but instead stood where they would a eighteen year old boy who's brown hair was messed up sticking in all directions as if he just woke up and bright blue eyes staring back at me.

"Can I help you?" I asked suspiciously, giving him the one look over.

I heard Clarke make her way to the kitchen and look out the window that gave her a clear view of the front porch.

"Are you Cassie Gray?" The boy asked.

"Who wants to know?" I glared, keeping a firm grip on the door. I heard Clarke grab a frying pan in case this guy wanted more than a friendly hello.

"I'm gonna take that as a yes," he smiled like a child. "I'm Lucas Larsen and I've been given instructions to drive you to your fairytale destination."

Alright this guy is insane. "Uh I'm good thanks."

I went to shut the door, but his hand stopped it.

"If you don't leave I'm gonna call the cops!" I shout.

The man groaned, "ugh he should of mentioned you were stubborn."

"Excuse me?" I glare, "first of all I'm not stubborn and second who the hell are you talking about."

I heard Clarke open the back door and watched here tiptoe towards the mysterious man. Frying pan firmly in hand.

"You are making this ten times more difficult." The man rubbed his temples with his finger.

Clank.

The frying pan hit him square in the back of his head. Knocking him out cold. He toppled over without any hesitation and Clarke and I exchanged looks.

"Well this Christmas Eve got interesting." I say with a slight hint of sarcasm in my voice. "Now what?"

"I say we tie him up and interrogate." Clarke smiles and I glare. "What he's kind of cute. Besides Dad not gonna be home for another couple of hours. We can at least figure out who called you stubborn."

"I feel like this is slightly illegal." I mumbled. "Help me carry him."

After successfully struggling we finally got him tied up in a wood chair with rope we found in the garage. I grabbed Cress's feather toy and began tickling the man under his nose. Lucky for us he was very ticklish.

His eyes shot open and he tried scratching his nose but failing miserable which was a good sign for us, that means we tied him good. He turned his head to look at his tied hands and grumbled something under his breath.

"Sorry can you repeat that again?" Clarke, who was sitting on the counter with the frying pan still next to her, asked.

"I should get paid for what you guys are putting me through." He glared. "What the hell did you hit me with?"

Clarke lifted up the frying pan with a laugh.

"Not very nice." He spat.

"Well you were kind of acting insane."

I tilted his head back and stared at the ceiling. "Well now that you successfully kidnapped me. What you want?"

"How do you know my name?" I asked.

"Well you were in the news for weeks." He grinned.

"What are you stalker now?" Clarke spat. "One of those paparazzi that hope for an up close interview."

"No and holy hell no. In fact I hate those guys always invading my personal business." He shot a bunch of offended glares towards Clarke as if she insulted him.

"Wait you're famous?" I asked. Looking at Clarke to see if she recognized this man.

"Well of course silly." He said every so proudly. "What don't recognize me?"

Clarke and I shook our heads no.

"Wow you guys need to watch television more. I'm in that one commercial with the camel."

I raised an eyebrow.

"You know forget I said that." He smiled, "now before you hit me with that frying pan again." He dramatically turned towards Clarke, "ow by the way."

"You're welcome." She said with smug look.

"Can you untie me and I can explain the whole situation?" He asked giving me the puppy eyed look. If I didn't live with a twin sister it would of worked.

"Or you can explain it from the safety of your chair." I smile.

"Very safe." He grinned. "Well in case you haven't figured it out William Everest sent me."

Just hearing his name made my heart jump. I haven't heard his name in forever, in fact not since he told the public he's the one to blame.

"He's obviously lying." Clarke broke my stare.

"Why would I be lying?" He asked with a sigh.

"Because that's what they all say." Clarke grumbled.

He rolled his eyes, "well if you don't believe me you can go ask the lady next door."

I looked over at Clarke. She shook her head, "you are not leaving me here with this person."

"My names Lucas."

"Shut up." Clarke snapped at him.

"Knock him out then. I just need to go see if he's telling the truth." I stood up and quickly pulled on my boots sitting by the door.

"Since I'm gonna be here for awhile can I at least get a glass of water."

"No!" We both shouted.

"Gosh." He mumbled.

I ran towards Ms. Rodriguez house and aggressively knocked on her door.

"What are you still doing here mija? You should be driving by now." Ms. Rodriguez grinned.

"So it's true?"

"What true."

"That William Everest is in town?" I asked, my heart jumping out as I said his name.

"Of course dear. Didn't that boy tell you."

"Well he did."

"Then what are you still doing here?"

"Clarke knocked him out with a frying pan." I heard a slight chuckle coming from the living room. Ms. Rodriguez turned and glared before looking back at me.

"Julian will take you now since that boy probably has a concussion." She looked over at I'm guessing Julian who I heard shuffling around. "Least now I know you girls can take care of yourself."

Julian popped up behind Ms. Rodriguez. He was much taller than both of us, standing at least six foot. His black hair was messy and his brown eyes held giant bags and dark circles under them. "You ready?"

I looked over at Ms. Rodriguez with a friendly smile before following Julian to the car I just noticed sitting outside my house.

It only took me a couple minutes to realize Julian was Ms. Rodriguez son who been over seas for the past seven years. I never knew what he looked like since I was only two when he was deployed. I assumed he was handsome by the pictures hanging around the house bur in person, Julian could pass off as a model. With all those muscles and stuff.

"So you're telling me that Clarke your twin sister knocked Lucas out cold with a frying pan?" He asked while laughing his head off. Enough that his face started to turn red along side the tips of his ears.

"Yup, I wish I knew he was William's best friend. Now I feel bad."

"William is a sweet guy." He then says once his laughing had cooled down a bit. "I ran into him at the airport. Apparently he's been planning different ways to win back your heart for the two days he spent there."

"He spent two days inside and airport." Some part of me couldn't believe that someone would do that just to see me. That William did that for me.

"He's madly in love with you." He glances over at me. "And now I see why."

I felt my cheeks start to burn.

The snow was falling outside the car as we entered downtown NorthBrooks crowded with people examining the colored lights that hung from building to building, lighting up the sideways and rodes as we drove past.

I undid my seatbelt and looked over at Julian who wasn't moving. "You aren't coming?"

"I think it's best if you go alone." He smiles.

"Where can I find William?" I ask. I just wanted to see him, to feel him against my skin. Have his fingers interlace with mine.

"I think you'll find him just fine." He continued, "isn't that how fairy tales suppose to go?"

"Usually the princes find the princess in fairy tales." I smile before getting out of the car.

I held my body as I started to walk past the couples enjoying their Christmas Eve with each other.

I noticed the same guitarist singing a lovely slow song. I approached him with a smile, tapping my foot to the beat. He grinned up at me.

I turned around and saw the fountain. The fountain William and I shared our fairytale worth kiss before everything started to go downhill.

I approached it slowly looking around in hopes to spot William standing there. Yet he was nowhere in sight. The inky thing was a small yellow sticky note and a penny attached to the marble time.

Make a wish.

I picked up the penny and held it close to my heart. I never believed in wished, but right now I could feel the magic in the winter air around me. I shut my eyes before throwing the penny into the fountain.

Just like I thought. Nothing happened.

That's when I heard him.

I turned around and where the man with the guitar once stood, was William guitar in hand. Strumming the cords, humming a few words. He looked up at me, his brown eyes locking with mine. He began to smile.

I approached him, folding my arms to keep me warm. My eyes couldn't believe what sat before me. I never thought I'd see him again. Not after what I did to him. Yet here he was, in the flesh, singing me a song that felt like it was just meant for me.

He stopped singing and handed the guitar to the man, standing up from his stool. The couples listening clapped for him before continuing their walk under the lights.

"You came for me." I whispered. "Why?"

"Because I couldn't stay away." He whispered, coming closer to me.

"But I broke your heart." I could feel tears starting to form in my eyes just thinking about it. Just thinking about how painful it was for William.

"Yet you came." He grabbed my hands pulling me into him.

"William?"

"Save it."

His hand tilted my chin towards him. Letting our lips meet. Fitting together like they were meant to be there. He kissed me slowly, letting his hand het tangled up in my hair. Oh how I missed the feelings of our lips touching. The warmth of his skin against mine.

When he pulled away we both couldn't stop smiling. "What did you wish for?"

"What?"

"I knew you wished for something even though you don't believe in that type of thing."

I hesitated. "I wish we could stay under the spotlight for awhile."

"I think it will be more than awhile." I whispered.

"What?" I asked, letting our eyes meet.

"Well my father isn't gonna be too happy when he finds out about this." He smiled. I didn't know why he was smiling.

"Don't you care about what this could do to your career?"

"Well that's the thing." He grinned down at me, "for the first time in my life i actually feel like I belong outside of the entertainment industry."

"So are you gonna quit acting?" I asked.

He looked up at the stars. "Not forever. Just think of it as a long vacation."

I smiled at this. He looked down at me  with a giant grin. "I love you."

"I love you too."

Then our lips collided again.
