|William|

As Cassie and I approach the final week of November, I started to realized maybe I was wrong this entire time. That the people couldn't dig anything up that could possible ruin her life and eventually gather bad press around me. Yet, Angie came barging into my room with Cassie just close behind her.

"News now!" Angie demanded.

I fumbled with the remote before clicking it on, the newsman held an evil smile. There was a picture of Cassie and I on the side of the screen. Cassie sat next to me on the edge of the bed while Angie paced around, listening carefully.

"The young couple known as William and his mystery girl wasn't as perfect as we all thought. Private sources," I almost scoffed at that. Usually private sources mean juicy rumors being spread, "reveal that Cassie life may not be as perfect as they've made it out to be. Turns out the small fan from NorthBrooks might not be as perfect as we all thought she was. Turns out that her mother has became a viral sensation of in Europe and according to this video it's not something Cassie should be very proud of. We have censored this video for the sake of showing it on the air, but I suggest remove any children out of the room."

All our eyes watched the censored down video of a middle age woman, Cassie's mother apparently, at some club in Europe. Drinking so much that if she puked up everything inside that slim body of hers, I wouldn't be surprised. The video was obviously being recorded from secret as the rim of his pocket was at the bottom of the screen and by the heavy laughter it was obviously a man. Getting a kick out of what's happening. Even with the censorship you could see the brown hair lady strip down and get on top of the man. In between kissing and other actions blabbering about how her daughter is famous and that shes gonna be big one day. The giant man just brushed it off, pushing the lady down lower. Letting out groans and the video ends.

"Let's just hope the young Cassie doesn't turn out like her mother." The newsman laughed. "Else we might have another young Dakota Jennings on our hands." Dakota Jennings was a young actress who turned to drugs and alcohol. A video was release a couple years back ruining her life that she purposely ran through a red light and got hit by a giant truck. Since then shes been paralyzed from the neck down and rarely speaks to no one.

Angie turned off the television in frustration. "I knew this was gonna happen. People can't mind their damn business nowadays."

I looked over at Cassie to see how she was doing. Her eyes still glued to the screen. a blank state.

"I'm gonna get to the bottom for this and sue that person's ass!" Angie yelled before walking out. The slam of the door echoed throughout the room.

I wrapped my arm around Cassie's shoulder and she winced slightly.

"Cassie." I said softly. "Talk to me."

"I've never wanted to see my mother ever again." She finally says. "Yet she still finds a way to crawl back into my life."

"There's disgusting people out there who will find anything in their power to break you down." I try comforting her, but I wasn't a pro at it. Never really had to do it before.

I saw a tear fall down her cheek. I brushed it off with my finger.

"I knew she was partying in Europe ruining her once perfect life, yet somehow she had to drag me into it." She cried silently. "I haven't spoke to her in two years."

She leaned into my chest, sobbing a kittle bit harder. "I use to look up to her before she turned to alcohol as a source of happiness. She was the person I wanted to be when I was older."

"You're nothing like that woman." I cut her off. Squeezing a little bit tighter.

"What if the newsman was right? I'm related to her after all. Just another Dakota Jennings waiting to happen" She said in between sobs.

I pressed both my hands onto her shoulder, forcing her to stare at me. Her eyes were red and puffy, but she forced herself to stop crying.

"You're nothing like those two people. You're a beautiful, intelligent, sarcastic, kind young girl who would do anything for her family. That woman in that video made her decision when she decided to leave you and your father and sister. She made that decision and left your life. You may be blood related but you'll never become like her. You actually have your life together in one giant plan. And I know for a fact that you're gonna do anything to get it." It all just came flying out. all those words that almost made me breakdown along side here.

"You truly believe that?" She asked, her voice breaking.

"Yeah and I also know that I'm never gonna meet another girl like you." I smile.

I could sense us leaning in closer to each other. I could feel her warm breath against my skin. But before anything happened, her phone began to ring.

She pulled away and put her phone to her ear. From the voice from the other end, I suspected it was her sister. I wander if she saw the news I maybe her twin senses were tingling, knowing something was up. She glanced over at me and I saw the ounce of heartbreak in her eyes. Still red and puffy from crying yet somehow she managed to pull herself together for her sister.

"I'll be there as soon as I can." She said before hanging up. She turned to face me, "I need to go home. My dad is an emotional reck and he needs me."

And at that instant I realized Cassie was one of the strongest people I've ever met. Holding all her emotions inside for the sake of her family even when they weren't even here.

"Then i'm coming with." I stood up.

"No William-"

"I don't care. We're in this together. We already agreed to that when we signed the contract." I remind her.

"But your dad."

"He'll think this will turn the bad publicity into some more eyes watching me. Besides I think you need me more than my fans."

There was a small smile on her face. "Thank you," she whispered.

I walked over and pulled her into a hug. I felt her burry her face into my shoulder. Crying silently and softly while I raked my fingers through her hair.

Even the strongest have to cry.
