Selena's POV

Coming back into school after the week off was pretty fun. Everyone was pumped because off all our wins.

Leanne was extremely happy when she found out we won. This was the first time our school won the performing arts competition.

Coming back into school was also tiring and confusing. Firstly because the lack of sleep was getting to me and secondly my emotions were all over the place.

Honestly before this year the only boy drama I ever had was Colton. But this year it's not only Colton but Adam and frickin Xavier.

Ignoring my internal battle I picked up my bags and headed to go home. Finally the day of Monday was over.

I swear if Monday was a person I'd punch them. I pulled my books closer to my chest as I made my way to my locker.

I put my stuff in my locker and was scared to death when Chloe touched me from the back.

"BOO"

"Oh my days Chloe you scared the living day lights out of me" I put my hand on my heart.

"Why's her face gone pale as if she saw a ghost" Ash walked to my locker.

"Chloe the frickin GHOST scared me" Ash found this funny and started to laugh and I smacked him lightly.

"Any ways we were heading out for ice cream. Wanna join" By now all my friends had crowded around my locker.

"Umm I think I'm going to have to pass"

"And whys that" Jacob asked me with an eyebrow raised.

"I have some place to be"

"Meeting with a boy" Chloe nudged my shoulder and I rolled my eyes at her. I didn't miss the cold look Adam gave me when she said that.

"No I'm going to my parents grave" I directed this more to Adam so he could stop that scowl on his face. I was right, when I said that his facial expressions looked more relaxed.

"Well don't stay out too late and be careful" I nodded my head at Cole and headed out.

When I reached the graveyard I pushed open the gate and walked towards my parents grave.

I sat down for a bit and closed my eyes. Even though they are in the ground I felt close to them because this is all I have of them.

A weird sound of an animal in pain made me open my eyes. I looked around and couldn't see anything.

I picked my bag up and looked around the graveyard.

"Hello is anyone there" As I said this the sound came much louder.

I followed the sound and it led to the wooded area at the back. I didn't want to go further because it was getting dark. But when I heard the sound I couldn't help myself.

As I walked further the sound got louder. I turned to my right to see an injured deer. He looked a bit like bambi.

I walked closer to see a huge wound across his body. I took my jacket off and walked closer to the deer.

I stroked the deer to make it understand that I won't hurt it. I pressed my jacket to the wound and the deer cried out in pain.

When I moved my jacket the blood was no longer red it was pitch black.

"What the hell?"

All of sudden I felt something lift me and slam me across one of the trees. My whole body screamed in pain. I touched my head from the back and felt a warm liquid. Great.

As I tried to get up I saw a black shadow come towards me. I rubbed my eyes to make sure I wasn't dreaming. The shadow looked darker than the night and it had no shape to it.

The shadow made a horrific sound as it came closer to me. The shadow touched my bare arm and I screamed out in pain.

The touch of this shadow was burning my skin. The smell of my flesh burning made me sick to my stomach. I was screaming out in pain hoping that someone would help me.

Tears flooded my eyes as the black shadow burnt most my arms and a part of my leg. I felt the shadow come closer to my face and I turned to the side making it burn my neck.

The screams that left my mouth were a horrific sound. The pain was so unbearable. I opened my eyes to see that the shadow was no longer near me.  I screamed when I felt something yank my hair back. The shadow pulled my hair and started to drag me. I tried to grab hold of a thin tree near me. My scalp felt as if it were on fire.

The pull of the shadow dragged me away from the tree away and my skin was peeled of my hands. I dug my nails in the ground hoping it would stop.

Just when I thought things couldn't get worse I felt my bones in the lower half of my body break.

I screamed so loud the pain was so unbearable. I saw someone figures run towards me and I screamed again pain when my body felt as if it were twisting in an unatural way.

My vision started to blur and I couldn't make out what the voices were saying. Slowly my eyes closed and I let go of myself.

I slowly started to open my eyes. My body felt as if it were on fire. I looked to see pitch black. I started to panic thinking that the shadow had taken me away. My breathing started to quicken and my throat was closing. I let out a strangled scream.

Light enlightened my room and I squeezed my eyes shut.

"Selena are you okay. What's wrong. What happened" The familiar voice of Adam brought a sense of relief to me and I let the tears fall out of my eyes.

I opened my eyes and once they adjusted to the light I saw a very worn out looking Adam.

"What wrong Selena tell me" He looked worried sick as he looked at me.

I tried to speak but my throat was dry. Adam put some water in a cup for me and lifted my head up gently. I drank the water and took a deep breath.

I looked around the room to realise that I was in Adams room.

"A-a-Adam I" I couldn't finish off my sentence because of how scared I was. What happend to me made no sense and it scared me. Tears came flowing out of my eyes.

Adam sat on the bed beside me and held me in his arms. He held me as if I was a fragile doll. I cried as held onto him. We stayed like this for a while until I calmed down.

I pulled away and looked at Adam. He was wearing a black vest top kinda thing and black pjama bottoms. His eyes had dark circles around them.

"Selena what happend to you." Adam had a concerned look in his eyes.

I explained everything that happened to me and once I was done Adam was quiet which kinda scared me.

"I'm so scared. What if that thing comes again" tears fell from my eyes and onto my hands.

"It won't come near you. When me Cole and the boys got there we destroyed the demon." I didn't say anything because I honestly didn't know what to say.

"How are you feeling" I looked to see my body covered in bandages.

"I don't know, this pain is so unbearable"

"I'm sorry we didn't get to you earlier"
"Adam there's nothing you could have done. No need to apologise"

I could see how tired he was, his eyes gave it all away.

"Adam haven't you had any sleep. You look so tired"

"How could I have slept. The past 4 days you were fighting with death. We could have lost you" The way he spoke pained me and it made my heart ache.

"You have no idea the past 4 days were hell for me...for everyone. Seeing you struggle and there was nothing we could do. When I heard your screams at the graveyard you have no idea what went through me."

Before he could even finish talking I pulled him close to me and I hugged him. Despite my body screaming in pain I hugged him tight.

Something in my heart ached seeing him like this. Why does he care so much for me. Why does my heart ache when he is in pain.

Tears were coming out of my eyes and they fell on his shoulder blades. As soon as Adam hugged me my body felt so much better. What is going on.

When I pulled away Adam looked at me with a emotion in his eyes which was so intense. I looked away and stared at window. The sky was pitch black.

"Adam what time is it"

"Its 3am" Adam spoke to me as he started to get off the bed. He went and sat on a chair.

"Umm why you sitting on a chair"

"I'm going to sleep. You should rest too" he slept on the frickin chair !!!

"Adam. Get back here" he got up and he looked worried.

"What's wrong?"

"You slept in that stupid chair for god knows how long. You should sleep in the bed"

"I can't" He looked down and avoided eye contact with me.

"Adam your bed is big enough for 10 people. Get in the bed with me" I gave him a stern look.

"But-"

"Adam I'm not going to talk to you if you don't listen to me" If he was going to be stubborn  so was I.

He went to switch off the light and I felt his body weight push the bed down. Soon after his body heat warmed the bed.

I closed my eyes and fell back asleep.

"You're lucky you got away this time. But just remember the next time I get you it will be ten times worse"

A figure of a man stood in the corner of a room which was unfamiliar. The voice was familiar. It belonged to the same guy who once killed my brothers in my dream.

He had a hood over his face so I could t make out his face. The man walked towards me and he started to attack me. I started to scream in pain and I felt blood on my body.

"Selena wake up. It's ok it's just a dream" I heard Adams voice and my eyes shot open.

I looked at him in panic and tears blurred my vision. I told Adam what happend and when I looked up at him he was touching my face.

I gave him a weird look but when he pulled his hand away he looked at it and it had a bit off blood. 

"I'M GONNA FUCKING KILL THAT FUCKER" Adam screamed and it scared me.

"He has managed to hurt you again through your dreams" Adam was beyond pissed right now.

His top was no longer on him, he was shirtless. One thing in particular caught my eyes, fresh scratch marks.

I touched his chest and he tensed under my touch.

"How did you get these" he avoided looking at me as he pulled my hands away gently.

"I can't remember must've scratched myself. Go back to sleep it's 6:30am" I nodded my head and pulled the covers over me.

Not long after I felt Adam's body come closer to mine. With that thought on my mind I went back to sleep.

I woke up when I felt the sun on my eyes. I put my hand in front of me and groaned.

"Lena your finally awake" I turned around to see the room filled with my friends and brothers.

"What the heck" Everyone came rushing and sat on Adam's bed.

John helped me sit up and everyone started to hug me and question me. It was overwhelming but I loved them.

"We have been worried shit about you Lena" Jade had tears in her eyes and as she leaned forward to hug me.

"It was so horrible watching you fight for your life. I love you so much Lena I'm so glad you ok" Chloe hugged me and I felt so much better having everyone around me.

We all sat around in the room for a while until Adam and Cole walked in. I couldn't help but laugh at Adams reaction to the state of his room. We may have had pizza and left the boxes on the floor.

He took a deep breath and cleared his throat. Everyone turned to him. Cole spoke first.

"I have some news for everyone"

"Um is it good or bad" Cole glared at Jade and she put her hands up in surrender.

"Well after what happened to Selena we managed to put spell on the town. But it will only last for a few days. Which means we have to go back to the wizard world."

"What. When do we go" I turned to see Jake looking like he was slightly shock but happy.

"Tommrrow" Cole looked at me when he said and all I could do was nod.

I knew this day would come and now after what happend I can't risk it any longer.

I'm going to the wizard world.
