Mariana takes more than thirty minutes to dress up. She says a girl needs to dress up. It is sometimes annoying when you urgently need to leave home because you are late and all she can do is sit behind a mirror and paint her face. I wonder why she does that. She has a beautiful face already.

As if that is not enough. She spends like fifteen minutes to decide on what to wear. She never chooses a dress a day before going out. It's like she wants to be late always.

Before getting used to her and her lifestyle, I always woke up early before her and make sure to leave before she even woke up. She always wants you to wait for her.

Having her as a best friend has been quite an adventure. She's quite daring.

In all I just love her. At least now I do...because I'm used to her.

After asking Richard and I what was happening, I thought she saw us staring into each other's eyes. But I was wrong. She asked because I looked like someone who didn't want to go for lectures.

I yawn when I realize Richard has parked in front of our school. Mariana looks at me and I sadly look at her too. I'm so tired and I wish I could go back home and catch some more sleep.

Richard smirks at me and I know what he's thinking about. Well, it wasn't because of him that I couldn't sleep well last night. OK, partially because of him but he doesn't know that. He only thinks it's because of the call he had given me last.

I step back, looking else where as Mariana says goodbye to Richard. I can't believe I'm starting my day with jealousy. It's not funny anymore. I feel like I'm gonna explode any moment from now.

Mariana watches Richard as he drives away. Slowly running, Mariana tries to catch up with me.

She smiles at me and I smile back.

While the lecturer is busily explaining something to us, my phone beeps and I know for a fact it's my dad. But then I was again wrong. It was Richard... Asking how my boring lecture is going.

Thank goodness Mariana isn't the type who snoops around during lectures.

Because I don't think I will be able to explain how and why her other boyfriend is texting me.

And it is funny as to why I'm thinking that...because Eben and I do a lot of crazy stuff together. And Mariana sometimes joins us. But then with Richard it sounds wrong.

I didn't even realize it was time for our break. I happily jump from my chair and heed straight to the cafeteria as Mariana follows.

I raise my eyes to see her left palm facing me.

"What? Why, what do you want me to see?" I asked.

"Try, what do you want to see?" she barked. Not so good.

"OK, what do you want to see?"

"I noticed you receiving a message and quickly hiding it, earlier. I ignored you but not now. Hand your phone over."

I laugh at her. She sure sounded like my grand mother.

"I think it was just a message to tell me..."

"Think?" She asked calmly.

"Yeah just a thought. But I don't know how..."

She nods and I know she's not buying it but for something sake, she's letting it go.

Richard is supposed to pick us up. As we almost near the place we see him leaning against his car. He smiles immediately the sees us.

What a lovely smile he's got. I could watch him all day.

So he opens the door for us to sit inside his car. Inside, I was feeling a little uncomfortable. He keeps staring at me through the rearview mirror. He winks anytime our eyes meet.

I won't deny the fact that it makes my heart flip.

Stopping in front of our apartment, I get down before he could play all gentleman on us again.

Mariana kisses his cheeks as they both say good bye. Come to think of it, I have not seen them kissing before.

Maybe it is because you've never watched them together, you jealous friend.

What is happening? Of course I do watch them sometimes.

He calls my name to wave me goodbye.

Oh how I want to hear him call me a thousands of time.

No! Think straight, Roselyn!

I wave back and quickly rush inside.

Once inside, Mariana asks if I'm OK. I tell her I am. I couldn't be any better. She watches me closely and nods before going into her room.

After twenty minutes, she comes to my room. I had downloaded a movie on my laptop last night. I was hoping to watch it today after lectures.

She comes to sit beside me on my bed.

"How many seasons?"

"It's a complete one," I answered.

"It wouldn't harm me if I watch it. What is it about?"

"I have no idea. I didn't want my bundle to go waste so I decided to download a movie. I didn't really check which one."

"Don't worry, I hope we like it," she said before leaning on the pillow.

I nod at her. She stares on the wall for a while and then looks at me.

"Roselyn, you know I love you and I'll do anything to make you happy, right?"

"Hmm," that was all I could say to her. She loves me and all I could think about, is her other boyfriend.

But I'm wondering why the sudden words. Has she found out anything? I will go crazy if we fight...and that too, over a man.
