picture above is lucas with his glasses on

after two years of writing this, yeah. this is definitely not lucas LMAO

The next day, I didn't expect to wake up next to Lucas. Nor did I expect to be so hot with a nauseous feeling. I felt like throwing up and I actually could on Lucas because, well, he's Lucas. Do I really need to say more?

However, I refrained myself from doing so because I'm a nice human being. But his snores are so loud, it's literally really funny. He's like Lily when she drinks coffee. Loud and cute.

I'm insane for calling him cute when he snores, but I'm too tired to fight with my inner self. Maybe later. "Are you going to school? Are you going to school? Are you going to school?" I asked repeatedly while poking his cheek.

Lucas slowly opened his eyes and a groan left his mouth, "It's like, five a.m., go to sleep." His voice was mumbly and I could tell he was barely awake.

I threw the soft blanket onto Lucas and stared at him. "Answer me question, dummy."

"I can skip for today," he said tiredly and closed his eyes again. "Now go back to sleep."

"Only if we can get ice cream," I told him sternly.

"Fine, but your mom would probably kill me if I get you even sicker," he grumbled.

"My mom loves you, now shut up," I retorted and fanned my face because I was hot. Temperature wise, that is.

He just shrugged and cuddled himself into me. I rolled my eyes and groaned. "Get off of me, you weirdo."

"Make me," he replied like the child he is.

"But you're making me hot," I complained, dragging out the words because I'm such a child too.

This only made him cuddle me harder.

"You're literally going to murder me!" I whined, trying to shove the big boulder that acted like a child off of me. It didn't work in my favor, unfortunately.

"I'll die with you any day, babe," he responded and put his arm over my body.

I huffed in annoyance and shoved him off of me with all of the strength I could muster up, which wasn't a lot considering I was tired and sick. I rolled away from Lucas with a sigh.

But the next thing I knew, I was back into my dreamy world of Klaus.

I woke up once again and groaned at the heat. I could feel the sweat on my forehead and I coughed very loudly. The action made Lucas groan as well. It's a groaning party, woo! I love waking people up.

"Where's your bathroom? I need to go take a shower. I need clothes too," I stared and poked Lucas repeatedly again. I heard him hum and mumble words that were inaudible to me. It's either because I'm going deaf or he's just really not speaking loudly. Let's hope it's the latter.

He flicked my arm, causing me to pout. "Stop poking me. The bathroom is literally connected to this room. And I already put clothes on the counter sink thing. Goodnight," he mumbled and started to snore a few seconds later. Wow, what a fast sleeper.

I rolled off of his bed with a big yawn. I walked into his bathroom and started to brush my teeth, jamming out to music in my head. Afterwards, I rubbed the sleep from my eyes and turned the shower water on, waiting for the water to turn warm.

To say the shower was amazing would be an understatement. It was euphoria. The shower was so big and I danced and sang to the songs in my head. I'm surprised I didn't wake Lucas up, to be quite honest.

I pulled the towel around my waist and looked at the clothes that were on the counter. There were black skinny jeans, short, white socks, a plain white t-shirt, and oversized hoodie. It looked like Lucas's hoodie. Wow, what a weirdo. It looked comfy though, so that makes it okay.

I put the clothes on after I dried off. I put the towel up and jumped on Lucas. "Wake up and get me a brush. And then you can take a shower and we can do stuff together!" I exclaimed with a big grin.

"We're getting you some medication first," he grumbled and put a pillow over his head. "The brush is in the bathroom. I'll be in the shower later, bye."

Then he went back to sleep again. How does somebody fall asleep that quickly? I rolled my eyes and went back to the bathroom to brush my hair. After I was done, I made Lucas take a shower or I would've coughed on him. Considering the fact that he wanted to get sick with me, it didn't work.

So I farted on him.

Once he was finally finished taking his very long shower and got dressed, he walked out of the bathroom. His hair was wet and messy and hot and holy crap what am I taking about.

"Take a picture, it'll last longer," Lucas told me with a smirk, breaking me out of my thoughts.

I hid my face with the sleeve of the hoodie because I really didn't want him to see my disgustingly flustered face. "Awe, don't be so shy."

I rolled my eyes and said with a muffled voice, "Shut up and brush your hair."

I heard his chuckle and I peeked through the sleeves to see he was finally gone. Yay. A stupid idea formed into my mind but it was my stupid idea, so that's why I'm going to go through with it. Insert smiley face.

I slowly tip toed toward the bathroom and smirked at my master plan. "Boo!" I screamed and jumped on Lucas's back.

The funny thing is that I totally forgot that there may be other people in this huge building. So if they complain, then I'm basically screwed. Yikes.

I heard Lucas's laugh as I looked at the mirror to see his face. His smile was so cute. And the way his eyes lit up when he laughed. Just kidding, I was totally just looking at me.

"I have to put on glasses because I'm too lazy to put contacts in," Lucas informed me, making me somewhat excited to see him with glasses. What? I've never seen him with glasses on before.

He opened one of the drawers and put on his glasses, which were really cute. The glasses, not him. The frames were in a circle shape and they were black.

"Let's go to Kroger, woo," he said with synthetic cheerfulness. I looked at him weirdly before he said, "What? Getting some pills to help your sickness is always fun. Now come on, we can get ice cream while we're out."

"Take me to your car, my royal steed," I said dramatically because I'm extra and happy even though I probably shouldn't even be out getting ice cream. Pfft, who cares about that anyway? Not me!

He chuckled and took me downstairs while I was still on his back. How was he not tired of holding me for this long and going downstairs? I don't know, he must be magical.

Once I was in his car, I started to cough. A lot. After an excessive amount of coughs, my throat was starting to ache and my head was starting to feel dizzy.

"This was such a bad idea. I can take you back inside or to your house," Lucas muttered the first sentence and ran a hand through his hair in exasperation.

"No, just go to Kroger and we'll get pills and cough drops. I'm sure I'll be fine, alright? Besides, it was only a little coughing fit, nothing to worry too much about," I told him in hopes that he would be convinced. I wanted ice cream. And maybe to spend time with him just a little, but that was besides the point.

He gave me a reluctant look before giving in with another sigh. He slumped back into the car seat and started to drive to the grocery store. I felt my heart flutter a little over the fact that Lucas cared about my health. But then again, any person would care if somebody was sick. It was human nature.

I'm probably just overthinking, no worries. Hakuna matata. What a wonderful phrase. I love that movie. "We should watch The Lion King trilogy!" I exclaimed and clapped my hands with a joyful expression plastered on my face. "After the ice cream, of course."

I wasn't going to let my pain ruin this wonderful chance to spend time with other human beings other than the ones on Stranger Things. Social interaction is the thing that keeps me sane! Or makes me insane. Either way, it's a nice thing to have.

"Y'know, I am so stupid for allowing you to actually not stay in bed and get better faster. I'd be such a great father," Lucas chuckled amusingly with his eyes on the road. "If you're feeling nauseous or anything, tell me."

"And what if I don't?" I asked smugly, looking at the boy.

"Then you will face the consequences," he replied in a mockingly dark manner. I let out a small laugh and stuck my tongue out at him. Not without coughing, of course.

We soon arrived at Kroger and I was happily skipping to the front entrance like a small child. It was funny how Lucas was rolling his eyes like the parent even though he's more immature than me! I think.

I jumped on Lucas's back for the second time in the span of an hour. He let out a groan when I abruptly did so, but oh well.

"To the medicine section!" I exclaimed and pointed toward a random section of the building.

"It's actually to the right of us," he responded with a laugh.

I rolled my eyes at the correction. Right, left; it was all the same thing! Right? Haha, left.
