It's not over yet: I like doing these for my stories to tie up some loose ends I may have left. I hope you enjoy!

4 years later

Christopher entered his apartment at around 6:45, being greeted by Penny, the woman hired to watch Forest while he was at work.

As Bria took on college, Christopher took a different route...after doing some job searching, he was offered a spot as an illustrator for a small children's book company in Toronto. The money for school Chris practically forced Brianna to take, took a huge financial load off their shoulders.

"I keep telling you Chris...I don't need a babysitter. I'm 12. I'm a teenager!"

"You're a pre-teen. I don't trust you here alone since that time you tried to sneak your little girlfriend in."

"Are you gonna keep bringing that up? We were gonna do homework together!"

"Right. You're lucky I haven't told Bria."

Bria took four classes a day, working as hard as she could to get a social work degree.

To save money, she was staying in the apartment her and Christopher paid for together. It was far less expensive than living on campus.

During Bria's senior year of high school, after successfully moving her and Forest out of Greg's house, and into her own apartment...she ceased contact with her mother. She ceased contact with Greg, and of course with Noah. Though, a year later he was arrested for an assault case with a minor.

Despite them living together, they were in no rush for marriage. Chris had made a couple friends at his job..Bria made some in school, but in their eyes it was still them against the world. And they could care less about what people thought of their situation. They were happy.

"Bria doesn't have to know about that incident, I'll chill." Forest said, giving up on the argument.

"You two are crazy." Penny said laughing.

"He's always been crazy." Christopher laughed, giving the sitter her weekly check in an envelope.

"You have a good night Chris."

"You do the same." Christopher said, opening the door for Penny to leave.

"Bria should be outta class by now, I don't know what's taking her so long. I'm hungry!" Forest complained.

The family's routine would go as follows, Bria would leave for her class in the morning, Christopher would take Forest to school, before driving himself to work.

Forest would be picked up from school by Penny, and watch him until Christopher got home. It was usually only shortly after, Bria would come home from her last class, cook dinner, spend time with the family, and start the whole process over again.

Forest was well behaved, most of the time. Occasionally getting a phone call home from a teacher.

It was a lot to balance, but the troubles the pair faced in high school caused them to grow up fast.

"She texted me on my way here, she's picking up food. Stop complainin." Christopher said, pushing Forest's head.

As if on cue, Bria came in with takeout bags in her hand.

"Hey Brianna!" Forest greeted her from the couch.

Christopher instead, greeted her with a kiss, which still after these years..grossed out Forest.

"Forest come get these bags and put them on the table. I need to talk to Chris." Bria told Forest, which caused a slight jump in Christopher.

He prayed it wasn't a baby.

Forest grabbed the bags and took them to the kitchen, leaving just Brianna and Chris.

"I bet you didn't do what I told you to do." She said rolling her eyes.

"Take out the garbage?"

"No.."

"Email my boss?"

"No..Chris."

"Then what?"

"Pick out your damn Tux!" She said slapping his chest lightly.

She'd been rushing Christopher to find a tuxedo for both him and Forest, for his father's up coming wedding. Even after no longer living with his father, Chris found it odd that his old English teacher would be his soon-to-be step father. Christian was happier than he ever was, though he was pestering both of his sons about grand kids.

"Shit..it completely slipped my mind. I'll look for one tomorrow babe..I promise."

"You better, the wedding's next weekend. I'm trusting you." She told him, placing her hands on his shoulders. "How's the new book going?"

"Which one? Patrick Peed His Pants? Fine I guess."

As much as Chris complained, he loved his job. He got to draw characters all day, characters that a ton of kids got to see. Characters that made kids happy.

"Sounds like it'll definitely be an interesting one. Sneak me a copy when it's done." She said making them both laugh.

"How's school?"

"Hard. But I love it. I'm soooo close to my degree Chris. I can taste it."

"I know baby girl..you're almost there." Christopher said, embracing his girlfriend of five years.

"Can y'all come eat?! You two so busy chit chatting, I'm gonna take all the shrimp sauce!" Forest said from the kitchen, reminding them they weren't alone.

"Give us a minute..damn. And you better not touch my shrimp sauce!" Christopher said, making Forest laugh. He had already taken the shrimp sauce.

"I meant to talk to you about this..Forest has been begging for a dog. I was thinking for his birthday-" Brianna began.

"No."

"Damn. Why?"

"First of all, he couldn't even take care of that fish we got him. Second, I don't have the time or energy to train a dog."

"But I want oneeee." Bria confessed.

"I'll think about it." Chris said, though his mind was already made up.

"Good. Now let's eat."

"One condition," Chris said, making Bria smile. She already knew what he was going to say.

"What is it?"

"If I can eat you afterward."

"Fine, Chris." She said, pretending to be annoyed.

They spent their night like they spent most. Finally, getting the happy ending they deserve.
