教師 : SSE Begins

The weeks flew by and the sports festival began.

I am volunteering with Sora, Dami and a bunch of other girls. It will be fun but there are responsibilities as well and I am excited to execute them.

The schedules as told by Dami are a bit different this year. Soccer and Baseball matches are held specially at the end days of the festival, but this year they thought of starting the ceremony with the soccer match followed by baseball.

Jungkook, Jimin and Seokjin are participating in this and Jungkook was the leading player of the soccer team as well. So he has to take up huge responsibility for whole six days.

I slapped off my alarm which was set to five in the morning. I had a lot of work to do. I didn't waste a single moment to rush into the washroom and brush my teeth and get a good shower.

I came out, and changed into our University's jersey and denims and dried my hair with the dryer before putting it into a pony tail. The cap and ID card for volunteering was a must which I wore around my neck and left my dorm.

The day was going to be hectic, I knew. I have to now report to our University's sports ground where we along with the player will be taken to the stadium by a bus. The game starts at eight.

Total eight groups, four matches on the first day each of one hour and forty five minutes, with forty five minutes span division and a fifteen minute break in the middle. After the four matches the four selected winner team will be against each other the next day. There will be two matches the next day each of three hours and fifteen minutes, with one and a half hour of each span and a fifteen minutes span break. And on the third day there will be two matches as well, one for the winner and first runner up and the other for the second runner up with the same time span as the second day.

I reached the sports field, the guys were already there doing their quick warm up and team planning. Looking around I saw Dami busy at her phone, she waved her hand as soon as she saw me and I walked over her.

She was in charge of the volunteering distribution. "Y/N, you and Sora are in charge of the boys for the soccer match. I mean you two will stay back with the boys in the waiting section and help them with stuff. Especially giving them supplies and checking their meals and report their health if they are not feeling well. I am counting on you" she patted my shoulders and I somehow felt responsible.

Sora appeared on the scene after a few moments and the teachers alarmed us the time and we boarded the bus. Three buses in total, all owned by the University faculty. One for the teachers, the other for the players, the third for the volunteers. No cheer squad for soccer, only baseball. The other students who are willing to watch the match were given free passes to enter the stadium and outsiders had to buy tickets.

I looked outside the window, the city was still new to me. "What are you thinking?" Dami's voice shook me up, she was sitting beside me.

"Nothing, this city is still new, I am just excited to see the stadium" I replied smiling.

"Well you should hang out more you know" she shrugged her shoulders and bite into her sandwich. Mine was kept in the bag, I was not yet hungry.

I pulled out the tangled ear plugs from my bag, I should buy an airpod next time. For that I needed to save money.

I put them in my ears and turned the music on, it was a good feeling. The morning air hit my face as I closed my eyes for a moment, it felt relaxing.

After a few moments we were there, time flew really quick. I got my things collected and got down of the bus along with the rest.

Sora and I followed our soccer team players to their waiting room. The stadium had many rooms for the player among which eight were allotted for the eight teams and their members.

"I am looking handsome right Y/N?!" Jimin posed in front of me in his sports attire.

"Yes Jimin" I replied, they were all prepared and Jungkook wanted them to do a little warm up. The first match was against Korea University which was replaced by KAIST University from the SKY or top three. Korea University had a pretty strong team as well and our match happens to be at the opening which starts at eight.

"Goodluck Boys! Tell us if you need anything" Sora said and all the boy agreed in unison. They looked more excited than stressed.

I will only follow what Sora asks me to, I am kind of an amateur. "Y/N bring out the protein bars from the box, the boys won't eat anything heavy before the match and also we need to make the energy drinks" she said and I nodded.

"Yes Unnie, got it" I rushed towards the waiting room, the boxes of energy shakes and energy bars are piled up in a corner. I took out a cutter knife and teared the tapes to open up the boxes.

Sora on the meantime was preparing the towels, the bandages, the muscle sprays and other important stuff for the boys. I kept the bars aside and then went for the protein and energy shakes. The powder mixed in lukewarm water and stired. After preparing I sorted them in the bottles for the members.

The boys came in, all sweating and it was seven. The ground was left for some purpose for the faculties to check and the opening will be soon. The audience started gathering up and the seats were getting filled up.

The boys came in and picked up their drinks and bars, they were tired and hungry. Seokjin was talking to Sora in a corner while munching his bar and among the new students Dev made it to the team. He gave me a hifi and I wished him luck, if he plays well he will be recognized by the University and it will fetch him a certificate which will be useful for his career later.

Among all Jimin was the funniest. He was mimicking how the girls will cheer for him from the audience. I laughed to him a bit, he was trying to make everything light and the players more confident.

I looked over the room and saw Jungkook standing at the door looking over the field, his eyes fixed and he was not blinking. He didn't even eat anything so I fetched his bottle and bar and walked towards him.

"What are you thinking?" I mumbled from behind and he looked back at me until I stood by his side.

"Everything has a rythm, even the sports field, if you understand the rules and how the things work it won't be difficult to you to survive" to be honest I didn't get any of it. So I passed him the bar and drink.

"Here, eat something atleast. The game will be starting soon after the opening is over" I replied, my concern as an volunteers was taking care of the players, winning the match had nothing to do with me.

"Thanks" he said and started munching on the bar with his eyes again on the field. I was holding the bottle for him, when I looked at the field all I saw was some artificial green grass and a few people talking among themselves.

Maybe I lack some intellect vision.

Oh I almost forgot....

I quickly looked for my pocket and took it out, "Jungkook" I said and he looked at me again.

"What?" He suddenly made his doe eyes and it was, cute.

"Give me your hand for a second" he frowned, Jungkook will think twice before giving his hand again after the shopping incident.

"Why?" He asked I rolled my eyes.

"Just do as I say" I said and he hesitantly did. I took the beaded bracelet and wrapped it around his wrist.

"It's for good luck" I said and he looked at me kind of amazed. "What is there to gape at me?" I asked, he was acting too weirdly.

"N-Nothing"

Suddenly I am feeling very low and not good at all.
