As fast as the holidays came, it quickly exited as well. Two weeks after New Years had past, we were back in college stressing about this second semester.

"I feel like I wanna drop out." Makiyah whined as we both sat in the library to work on a research paper.

"You got this, Kiyah," I told her with a huge smile on my face. "Don't give up now."

Makiyah rolled her eyes at me as I just chuckled to myself.

"Girl, please....College is just another scam. This shit is a prison to just brainwash us with  more false information."

Makiyah sighed and continued writing for a bit until Yani walked over, interrupting the both of us.

"Damn...you look like shit." Yani teased Makiyah as she took a seat next to me.

"Yani, don't start with me. Nia, get your girlfriend."

My face flustered when Yani glanced over at me to see my reaction.

"Now you know we not dating..." I said in a rather awkward tone.

"But we should, huh?" Yani added in, making me blush even harder.

Makiyah eyed the both of us before shaking her head.

"What's your issue?" Yani questioned with a brow raised in curiosity.

"Y'all nasty asses should've been made it official at this point. Just out here rubbing clits together with no strings attached. Im sick of it."

"Shut up, bruh." Yani said before throwing a pen at Makiyah.

"I mean..." I began hesitantly. "She's right though."

Yani looked at me with this serious expression on her face. Her eyes seemed to darken when I stared back into them.

"So you wanna be my girl?" Yani asked while practically still staring deep into my soul.

The air seemed to thicken tremendously as Yani and Makiyah waited for my response. All this time I've been waiting for this moment and here I am debating if I should tell her yes or back out like some coward.

"W-well I-....."

"That's a yes." Makiyah blurted out as she gave me an encouraging look.

But I could tell Yani did not like her answering for me at all.

"Don't be speaking up for her," Yani sternly said before training her eyes back on me. "Do you wanna make this official? Yes or no?"

"Just say yes, Nia!! Damn!" My inner self demanded as I began to twirl my pen around nervously.

"I-....I need some air!" I quickly blurted out before getting up and rushing out the library. 

"Bitch....literally what the fuck was that??" I thought to myself as I paced back and forth in the hallway.

I was getting a couple weird looks but I didn't care. I was nervous and somewhat excited to finally be at this point with Yani but I just don't know if it's the right thing to do.

What if we make it official and she ends up doing some dummy shit? I don't think I could handle that.

I was soo wrapped up in my thoughts that I didn't even notice Yani coming out into the hallway to check on me.

"You good?" She asked in a calm and soothing tone.

"I'm fine." I lied while trying my best to avoid giving her eye contact.

"That's cap," Yani stated as she leaned against the wall with her arms folded. "Why you soo nervous?"

Chewing on my bottom lip nervously, I glanced over at Yani and shrugged my shoulders.

"Because....I just am. Plus, I fear rejection and what if shit really go down hill an-"

Yani walked up to me and grabbed both of my hands. She looked me in the eyes as if she was searching for something.

"Nia, I understand. Trust me. Usually I don't do the relationship bullshit myself but you're an exception."

I couldn't help but smile a little as I felt her squeeze my hands gently.

"So...do you wanna be my girl or nah?" Yani asked again. This time she had a small smirk on her face.

Blushing once more, I nodded my head, yes, and closed my eyes as Yani pulled me into a deep kiss.

This kiss felt soo different that I swore fireworks were going off in my heart. The butterflies in my stomach seemed to flutter with excitement once Yani held me tight.

"Awe this is cute..." A familiar voice said that instantly ruined the moment.

I looked behind me and seen Diamond walking towards us with Kiara right beside her.

"Y'all two just can't seem to leave people alone, huh?" Yani said in an irritated tone. "Why are you even here, Diamond?"

Diamond smirked as she placed a hand on her hip.

"I was just visiting Kiara. Relax, I wouldn't even attend a college that practically only lets desperate bitches in."

Diamond shot me a sly look before gazing back over at Yani.

"I knew I smelt some shit out here." Makiyah stated as she came out into the hallway.

Diamond rolled her eyes as Makiyah returned the energy.

"Your lace is showing, Diamond. Fix that." Makiyah pointed out as she handed my stuff to me.

"Not the wanna be emo bitch trying to throw weak ass shots. It's honestly sad that you're trying to be something you're not all because you're obsessed with your bestfriend on the low. I guess you gotta live out your fantasies through little miss Nia now."

"Bitch, please go die in a ditch. You really thought you were clocking some tea, huh? The only obsessed bitch I see is you and that ginger headed ass bitch beside you."

I could see Makiyah fuming with rage as her and Diamond continued to bicker back and forth to the point that it was starting to attract attention from other students that was nearby.

"Ki, leave it alone man." Yani suddenly said as she grabbed Makiyah. "Shit is not worth it. Motherfuckers just bored and desperate at this point."

Yani glared at Kiara when she said that. Kiara just laughed it off as she shrugged her shoulders.

"Let's just go y'all..." I said with a sigh before walking off.

The tension was too much for me and I was starting to get a bit overwhelmed because of it.

"My number is still the same, Yani. Just in case you want someone that can handle you."

I could hear Diamond's petty ass laugh as all three of us walked away from them.

"I'll hit y'all up later..." Makiyah said once we were outside.

Yani and I watched as she walked off in the other direction still visibly bothered by what had just happened.

Who could blame her though. Diamond is a pain in the ass and Kiara is just on the sidelines    enjoying the show.

And now that Yani and I finally made it official.....I already know it's gonna be some more bullshit popping off.
