The fight raged on. Only Amare was out of commission. You were dragged outside into the street—and you weren't very discreet either. Mania had no problem setting buildings on fire through her rage and frustration. You were beginning to tire, muscles aching from the constant use. Your quirk was proving less and less affective as well.

'This isn't good. I'm not going to last much longer.' You pushed back Sora, but with half of your original strength.

"You're losing your touch, Y/n!" Megumi pierced her blade through your abdomen. She pulled it out and kicked you away. You rolled on the hard pavement, a slight blood trail following. You cupped your wound, the burning now noticeable. The women surrounded you, each donning their quirks.

"This is the end, Y/n," Megumi said, pointing her guns straight at your face. You tried activating your quirk, but you've used so much energy, there wouldn't be a point.

"I can't die..." You said quietly, "Not when I have to make you pay for killing Author!"

"Oh, that?" She laughed, shoulders shaking. "No one told you?"

"Told me... what?" You inquired, gazing up at her curiously and suspiciously.

"Author is alive."
Those words swirled around in your head. You heard them, but you didn't truly understand them.

"... what?"

"She's alive. Very much so. She tricked me and you. And everyone else."

"But–but how...? I... I saw her body! I cradled her in my arms, I..." You collapsed to the ground. "... I lost her."

"Hm..." Megumi tilted her head, a smirk on her features. "Perhaps I shall kill you like I did with that imposter." Her hand changed into a thin blade. Too busy looking at the ground, you didn't notice her going for the kill.

Luckily, someone did.

A flurry of smoke was all they could see before each of them were knocked away. Eyes slowing raising, your gaze locked onto their feet.

"... Author?"
When you saw their broad shoulders and muscular back, your expression changed.

"Who... are you?" You didn't recognize him. Slowly, he turned.

(I kinda wanna fuck your dad btw.)

"It's been so long, Y/n."
An audible gasp left you. Teeth clenching, his figure blurred from the tears pooling.

"... dad...?" A choked sob left you, eyes clenching shut. He kneeled down in front of you, gently cupping your face.

"Yes," he replied gently, "It's me, dad. I'm here." You shook your head, pushing out of his grasp, but he followed.

"No–no way!! You died!!" You kicked away from him, scooting farther away. "I know you did! This is impossible! Stop playing with me!" Slowly, he followed you.

"I'm here, babygirl," he said, "This is real. I'm alive." He tried to turn your head to face him, but you kept your gaze down.

"Y/n, please..."
Ever so slowly, you looked up at him. His eyes remained the same. Injured, but that soft, doting gaze is exactly how you remember.

"I... I don't believe it," you whispered, "How are... how are you alive?"

"I don't know, either," he replied, "But I'm here. And that's all that matters." He engulfed you in a hug, pressing your face against his sturdy shoulder.

"Hisashi?" A new voice spoke. He pulled away from the hug and turned, seeing Kamiko standing in the middle of the rubble and debris.

"Kamiko..." He stood slowly, eyes drinking in her figure. She ran first. He met her halfway. Both of them engulfed each other in a hug, heads buried in each other's neck and shoulders. You watched them with a newfound shock.

"Im–impossible... this is... impossible..."

"Not really."
You snapped around, seeing Jakurou standing behind you.

"You!" You sat up, "Where did you go?!" She shrugged.

"I had other things. I did what I had to do with you."
Tears now dried, your eyes narrowed in anger.

"What is going on?!" You demanded, "This doesn't make any sense! My dad's alive when he should be dead!! Author is apparently alive when I saw her dead body!! You!" You pressed your finger into her stomach.

"You suddenly disappeared without a word or trace! What the fuck is going on?! Why won't anyone tell me anything?!?!"
Breathing heavily from your screaming, you dropped your arm. "Why is all of this happening?"

"Because I wrote it to."
Slowly, your head raised. Eyes looking behind you, you managed to realize who was standing a few feet away.

"... Author?"
She smiled at you, but it wasn't her usual smile. This one was sad, broken.

"Y/n, everything that's happened to you is because of me," she explained.

"What?" Your eyes widened.

"The amount of votes you got after the Sports Festival? I wrote that number. The reason why your mother turned villainess after your father's 'death?' I made her."

"No... stop, stop!!" You covered your ears, but you still heard her voice. With each word she spoke, more tears sprung to your eyes.

"I attacked your father all those years ago. I killed him. I resurrected him and wiped him of his memories. Except of you and Kamiko."

"Shut up!! I don't want to hear it!!"

"Mania, Psychotica, Amare, Sora, Megumi, and Jakurou are all characters I've created to push your story forward."
The five of them slowly phased out of existence and into Author's drafts.

"Shut up!! Please, shut up!!"
She kept going.

"I wrote so Megumi would kill me. A clone of me." She brought out her book from behind her back. "Everything that's happened to you, good and bad, is because of me."

"Why...?" You quietly asked, "Why did you make me suffer so much?!?!" You glared at her, fresh tears in your eyes.

"I'm the same age as you. I was a child that didn't know the limits of my power. A lot of people suffered because of me." Her eyes moved over towards where Hisashi and Kamiko were still embraced.

"Hisashi was sent to find me. Everyone at that time knew my quirk was powerful and dangerous. In a panic, I wounded him. I killed him. After that, I erased his memories so he wouldn't tell on me after I brought him back."

"You... you ruined my family to save your back?!?!" You yelled, hand clenching. "What kind of a person are you?!"
Solemnly, she looked down at her book.

"Yes, you're right... however." Her book fell open and a blinding light emitted from it. A bright beam of green energy shot up into the sky. Swirling beads of light traveled through the air, twisting and turning like an aerial show. Author's form was engulfed in light.

"What... what are you doing?!" You spoke out. She smiled at you.

"I'm resetting everything back to the way it was supposed to be. Before I ruined it with my presence." Her body began to become translucent.

"Wait... wait!!" You reached out to her. "I'm sorry!! Don't go!! I can't do this without you!!"

"Y/n," she said softly, "You are worth so much more than you know. You'll survive without me."

"No!!" You slammed your fist to the ground, touching your forehead to it. "I can't!! I can't imagine my life—my world—without you!! Please, don't do this!!!" You raised your head, begging–pleading her with your eyes.

"I have no choice. This is something I need to do. To set things right."

"No, you don't!! You don't have to go!! Please, don't go!!"
Her body cracked, light soaking through.

"I'm so glad to of met you, Y/n," she said softly.

"Author, please!!"

"Please, take care of yourself. I love you."

"DON'T GO!!!"
