I walked with Josh from our second period class to his third. From there, I headed to French, which was in the hall around the corner.

We've made what's almost like a routine. We all meet in the library during homeroom, and from there we head to first period, which we share. Then, Josh and I head to our second period, and then to his third which is on the way to mine. Noah, whose class is next to me, walks with me to our fourth period, and then we all meet up at my locker for lunch. From there, Josh walks us to our 6th period, and then to my seventh. The boys all walk with me to our last period.

It's like a system. At first, it was because of the bullying. But it's become a habit.

Anyway, I was walking to class when I spotted a girl pressed up by the lockers and being laughed at by Zarina and Caleb, two of the populars that tormented me during gym class.

The girl was definitely new. She had very tan skin and black hair that she hid her face behind.

I was going to step in, because even though I knew they may start bullying me too, I hated the thought that anyone else was getting bullied.

When everyone was taking their anger out on me, the other nerds were safe. Now they weren't.

Before I could intervene, another girl jumped in.

She was new too. Brown skin and black hair that was pulled into a long and complicated braid.

"Get away from her!" the braided girl growled.

"What are you gonna do?" Caleb sneered.

"This."

The girl proceeded to knee Caleb right in the balls.

"You ?@$!!" Caleb screamed, collapsing onto the ground.

Zarina reached out and slapped the Braided One.

I decided to step in.

"Back off, Zarina," I said.

I looked and sounded pretty confident, but inside, I was shaking. It's not like she obey anyway.

Zarina stepped away, glaring at me.

Huh, I stand corrected.

Zarina and a wincing Caleb walked away, leaving me with the two new girls.

"You okay?" I asked them, shaking off my shock at the fact that my command worked.

"Umm, yeah. Thanks," the braided one said.

"What're your names?"

"I'm Bhoomi," she said. "And this is my sister Camilla."

Camilla looked up at me at smiled slightly. I couldn't really tell though, because her long curly hair hid her face.

"You're sisters?" I asked, confused. It may have been a little blunt, but Bhoomi didn't seem offended. They must've gotten the question a lot.

"We adopted Camilla from Puerto Rico."

I nodded.

"So, where's your next class?" I asked.

"Um, we both have Mandarin with Mrs. Wun and then Science with Mrs. Martin."

"I have French, but I'm in your science class!"

"Cool, I'll see you then!" Bhoomi said, looking happy to have someone she knows.

Guess I just found my new girl friends.

Thanks, Mysterious Force.

When French was over, Noah and I walked to Science.

"Guess what!" I said.

"Mason is gay and in love with me?" He asked.

Um. What.

"No...?"

He shrugged. "You never know. Besides, it's pretty hard to NOT love me."

I shook my head and explained everything in the hall, putting particular emphasis on Zarina backing off.

"Well, the Zelena thing is probably because of Jackson," he said.

"Her name's Zarina."

"Yeah, I'm probably watching to much Once Upon a Time... I just ship Zelena and Hades so much!" he said, making no sense.

"What does Jackson have to do with the situation?"

"Jackson threatened Manboob and Cassinova and got them and their goons to stop hating on you," Noah explained, using his nicknames for Mason and Cassie.

"What are you talking about?" I asked.

What did that mean? Did Jax threaten them? Why would he even tell them to stop?

"I dunno, Flower. Oh look, there's Jackson!" Noah said, being his distracted self.

"Jackson, what's all this about you telling Mason to stop bullying me?" I asked him.

Jackson glared at Noah.

"Really? You can't keep a secret?"

Noah was too distracted by a bulletin board to answer.

"What secret?" I prodded.

Jackson sighed. "It's nothing. I just told Mason to back off."

"OOO guess what!!!" Noah interrupted. "Jasmine made FRIENDS."

Jax raised his brow. "You? Made friends?"

"Wow, don't sound so surprised."

"Are you sure these friends you're speaking of are real?" Josh asked coming up behind Noah.

"Don't replace me!" Lucas pleaded.

"Oh, do me a favor and shut up people," I groaned, walking to my seat. I watched the door, smiling when Bhoomi and Camilla walked in.

"Bhoomi! Over here!" I waved.

The two walked towards me.

"Hi Jasmine," Bhoomi greeted. Camilla gave me a little wave.

"Hey! I wanted to introduce you to these goofballs I'm stuck with," I said, waving the boys over.

"Guys, this is Bhoomi and Camilla," I introduced.

"Huh. They are real," Josh muttered.

"Shut up. That's Josh-"

He grinned.

"Noah,"

He smiled comically big.

"Lucas,"

He gave an excited wave.

"and Jackson,"

He nodded in their direction.

"Nice to meet you guys," Bhoomi greeted. Camilla did nothing.

"So... where are you from?" Josh asked.

"We moved here from New Jersey."

"Really? But you have no accent!" Lucas said.

"Yeah, you know, like "Oi, get me some a dat cawffe ova deir befow you come tawk to me!"" Noah explained, terribly mimicking a Jersey gangster.

"In my experience, its people from the shore and the North that have an accent, but it's really all about perspective and the accents you grow up around. I've met people that said they heard an accent in my voice," Bhoomi explained.

"Students! In your seats, the bell. has. rung," Mrs. Martin yelled, ushering us to our desks.

"And you're. high. strung." someone whispered under their breath.

-☺☺☺-

"Thanks for inviting us to eat with you," Bhoomi said, setting down her lunch box on the cafeteria table.

"No problem!" I said. "You and Camilla are welcome."

We all sat, me next to Bhoomi and Camilla, with Lucas and Noah on her left. Jax sat on my right, next to Josh.

"So, you two are sisters, right?" Josh asked.

"Mhm. My parents immigrated from India and had me. We adopted Camilla when I was five because my mom couldn't have any kids."

"So what do they do?" Noah asked.

"My dad's a software enginner and my mom's a pharmacist. What about you?" Bhoomi answered.

"My dad's a fire fighter, and my mom's job is-"

"To put Noah in his place!" Lucas interuppted.

We laughed, thinking about how sassy his mother was.

"What about the rest of you?" Bhoomi asked.

"My mom actually died when I was born and my dad couldn't bear to raise me without her so I live with my aunt Lexi and her wife Sandra. They're both interior designers," Lucas said.

Wai, what?

"I didn't know that!" Josh and I said in unison.

Lucas shrugged.

"It's actually not a big deal. I see my dad a lot, but we all agree I'm better off with my moms."

"If you say so..." I said uncertainly.

I can't believe I never knew.

"Well, my dad is part of a PR company and my mom is an investment banker," Josh said.

"My mom is the police chief here and my dad is the CEO of X-Mobile," Jackson stated.

"X-Mobile?!" Josh exclaimed. "Your dad is the CEO of a global telocommunications company and you never told me?"

Jackson eyed the ceiling. "It never came up."

"X-Mobile is my provider!" Bhoomi says.

"Good for you."

"Isn't your dad rich?" Josh asked.

"Yup."

"So you live in a mansion?"

"Nope."

"Well, why not?"

"My parents are divorced. They're on good terms, no bad blood or anything, and my dad pays monthly for child support and stuff, a lot more than he needs to actually. But my mom is set on saving all that money for college and emergencys. My dad still spoils us though. He got me that motercycle, and got my mom a designer bag for her birthday."

"Oh. I'm sorry, I didn't know," I said softly.

Jackson waved me off. "Don't be. It's not really a touchy subject of anything."

We all sat quuietly, not knowing what to say after learning about Lucas and Jackson's not so perfect lives.

"Well," Jax says, clearing his throat. "Who wants my jello?"
