/THIRD PERSON POV/

A spattering amount of sand flew along with the wind, some stayed beneath their feet. The taller woman laughed as the shorter stepped on her foot.

"I'm sorry!" Jennie squealed, a bit panicked but joined Lisa when the latter was laughing at her clumsy, uncoordinated steps.

"We definitely have to work on that one, don't we?" Lisa grinned, twirling Jennie around and then pulled her back to her chest.

"If it means more cheesy dates at night and more getaways, then definitely yes to me," Jennie gave a quick peck on Lisa's plump lips.

The music from Lisa's phone was blasting, meddling with the soft whisper of the wind amidst the seductive caresses of the ocean waves.

Cause as long as we keep dancing
We'll stay young at heart
And every time I hold you in my arms

Jennie smiled as Lisa pulled her closer, her head bumping softly onto Lisa's sturdy shoulder. Jennie's hand automatically searched for Lisa's and intertwined them.

Before, Jennie had told Lisa that she'd be asleep sooner if they do nothing but sit and stare at the calming waves. So, being the hopeless-romantic that she was, Lisa offered Jennie a dance. "Moving makes you warmer, and there's no better way to do it other than to dance with me tonight," Lisa had reasoned, too. Jennie only blushed at her girlfriend.

You give me deja vu
Like I've been waiting my whole life to find that view

Jennie revealed her famous and heart-stealing gummy smile when Lisa cutely kissed her nose at the lyrics. When she sensed Lisa was going to repeat the same gesture, she tilted her head upward to meet Lisa's lips midway.

Lisa managed to smile to the kiss, her hands went on Jennie's waist to pull her closer. One thing Lisa was thinking about-other than how soft Jennie's lips were-was how their bodies and even their inner selves sickeningly fitted each other flawlessly.

Jennie's hands tangled in Lisa's hair, she tiptoed to have a better angle for claiming Lisa's lips.

Jennie thought so, too. It was so weird how their bodies coalesced together perfectly, without any discomfort-much to their delight. It was hard to settle where her body ended and where Lisa's started. It felt like they just unquestionably belonged to each other.

Lisa pulled back from the kiss, took both of Jennie's hands in hers and twirled Jennie around again. Despite how good the kiss felt, their inaugural intention was to dance beneath the moonlight, beside the ocean, and above the velvety sand.

The stars twinkled approvingly at them-the two love-sick souls dancing beneath their light.

"If I got you, baby every day's a honeymoon," Lisa sang, smiling as she pulled Jennie back to her, now Jennie's back against her front.

Jennie habitually leaned her head back to rest upon Lisa's shoulder. Lisa's shoulder had always appeared to be firm, sturdy, and stiff-but speaking of reality, it was a really, really, comfortable place for your head to rest on. Jennie smiled as she felt Lisa's lips ghosted her temple, planting a delicate kiss on her baby hair.

I wanna spend some time in Paris

Serenade you on the beach

Jennie took Lisa's hands and wrapped them around her waist protectively. She then rested her own on top of them, as they swayed to the song playing on the background-Honeymoon by Johnny Stimson.

"Lisa?"

"Hm?"

"Do you think we're going too fast?" Jennie asked concernedly-something she hadn't manage to get out of her mind since the night fell.

We'll take a picture for our parents
But we're never gonna leave

"What, the dance?"

"No, dummy. We, our relationship," Jennie corrected, grinning at Lisa's clueless remark.

Nobody knows you like I know you
Nobody loves you like I do

"Oh," Lisa managed to voice out. She then turned Jennie around to face her. "Do you think so?"

"Kind of," Jennie admitted truthfully.

"Are you bothered by it?" Lisa leaned on, her nose cutely bumping on Jennie's-making the latter crunched it up in a natural reaction.

"Strangely, not even a tiny bit," Jennie admitted again, stealing a quick peck on Lisa's lips before continuing her sentence. "As I said, when I'm with you it feels like coming home after a very long trip."

"Same here,"

Cause when I'm looking at your eyes
I go from California to Timbuktu
Back to dancing in the living room
If I got you, baby every day's a honeymoon

"You know, the first time I saw you... you looked so familiar. You look like," Jennie paused to think, her eyebrows joined together in a cute frown. "You look like someone I've known my whole life."

Jennie looked up as she finished her sentence.

"And the way you looked at me back then, I thought you might feel the same way, too," Jennie admitted.

"I didn't know you, Jennie. My brain did not recognize you," Lisa stated. Jennie's heart sank a little at Lisa's statement. Was the feeling back then even mutual? Or was she overthinking things, like she always does?

Lisa reached up to struck loose strands of Jennie's hair to the back of her ear, then caressed her cheek with her thumb after.

"But it's safe to say that my heart did," Lisa smiled as she kissed Jennie's forehead softly. "I feel like I've loved you in another lifetime. Another universe, perhaps."

Jennie smiled and tightened her embrace on Lisa's waist.

"What I'm feeling right now, for you, is something I've never felt before," Lisa stated, her eyes searched for Jennie's with the mere help of the moonlight above them.

"You ignited a fire I didn't know existed within me, and even though if at some point it would turn into a wild-fire, I would never want you to quench them. If I burn, so be it,"

They both now had stopped dancing, even though the song was still half-way done. Instead, they stared into each other's eyes as if there's no tomorrow.

"I won't let you burn alone, you have to know that," Jennie looked up at Lisa in admiration glimmering in her eyes, her hands involuntarily traveled upwards and pulled Lisa closer by the nape.

Baby everyday's a honeymoon

Both of them leaned forwards slowly, their mouths only centimeters away from each others'. Jennie could feel Lisa's warm breaths hitting the spot above her upper lip, it awakened the sleeping hair on her back toward her neck.

"If anything, I'll burn along with you."

She sealed her words with a kiss on Lisa's lips.

/LISA/

After I dropped Jennie to her apartment, I went back to Manoban Estate. The sun had risen, the morning breeze kissed my skin softly as the cool air entered caressed my face. Driving with windows down in these kinds of mornings was definitely my favorite.

The street was still vacant and thankfully I could reach Manoban Estate way faster. One thing was bugging me, though. I hoped I arrived earlier before breakfast, because if my family had already gathered then I had no chance of escaping.

Escape from what?

I had been gone, away from home for almost a week. Literally, no warning about where I was headed, and I had told no one about my whereabouts. Except for Jace, who I had also told to keep reticent about me. If he had kept his words, then I owed him a lot. If he hadn't, well... then I was going to face the absolute indignation of my father.

If Marco knew that I had spent a whole three days in the Northern Forest and abandoned my necessity in Manoban Corps (which, partly, I assumed Joy had told him), I would be in a serious problem. Not that I'm afraid of him, it's just I'm way too drained to argue with his relentless self. I hadn't slept for days and I was so close to losing it.

But knowing him, he would probably push me until I reached my climax and blew up on him. I didn't want to explode, especially in front of my family. I didn't want them to see me as the same uncontrollable little lady from years ago.

I was pulled back onto the ground when I realized I had arrived on the Manoban's ground. I took a deep breath and left the car for the drivers to take care of. I stepped on the marble staircase and clenched my jaw before entering the estate.

The delicious scent of freshly cooked meals entered my nostrils without warning, I shifted in my leather jacket uncomfortably. I walked through the living room toward the dining room. The sound of silverware in contact with plates just confirmed the last thing I wanted to face right now.

Soon enough, to worsen my mood, I heard Marco's laugh followed by Chaeyoung and Jace's. Great. They're all gathered now.

Trying hard to stay tranquil, I entered the dining room.

They all fell quiet almost immediately.

Fuck me.

"Hey there," Chaeyoung chirped sweetly, offering me a kind smile.

"Hey, Chipmunk," I greeted her and nodded to the other two with a slight smile.

"Come eat, Julio made your favorite," Chaeyoung patted the seat beside her.

I patted her hair in return and smiled before taking the seat beside her. It was true, Julio did make my favorite breakfast; Italian Baked Eggs & Sausages. My stupid stomach growled loudly and Jace snickered at the sound.

"How long have you not eaten?"

I glared at Jace as Chaeyoung spooned the excellent amount of dish onto my empty plate. I thanked Chaeyoung in a murmur before averting my attention to the delicious breakfast.

"So, now that you're all here," Marco cleared his throat and our three heads turned to him. He eyed us and offered a smile. "I'm leaving for Paris tonight."

My stomach churned again, a different reason this time. The way he eyed me from where he sat, I knew what was going out from his mouth next.

"Lali, you're coming with me,"

I swallowed, "How long will our stay be?"

"Three days," Marco said, sipping from his glass of water. "You will have to attend every meeting from tomorrow morning until the last day we're there."

I was going to agree when Marco suddenly opened his mouth again.

"And speaking of meeting, where have you been these past few days? Sooyoung told me she had no idea where you were. Not to mention you abandoned a bunch of important meetings and appointments that I had to cover up for you."

Marco's eyes stared right into me, searching for flaws beneath my perfect pretending.

"I was taking some days off. I forgot to tell Joy, I was-"

"I had asked, where have you been?" Marco pushed further. Something in his eyes told me he already knew the answer, he was just waiting for me to either admit it or decline it so that he could finally snap on me.

I glanced at Jace, but he shook his head slightly.

No, I didn't tell anyone.

I clenched my jaw as everyone's eyes darted toward me, waiting for my answer. Including Chaeyoung-she had no idea where I had gone and was demanding for answers, too.

Fuck. Me.

I sighed airily. I had to be honest, after all.

"Northern Forest," I admitted, looking straight into Marco's eyes, anticipating for his response.

I could sense Chaeyoung's heartbeat quickened at my answer, as well as Jace's. She knew what would come out our father's mouth at my answer-they both knew. Chaeyoung took a sharp intake of breath and averted her gaze towards her plate.

Marco's face darkened, his eyes flashed angrily.

"What do you think you're doing there?" He growled.

"We were attacked, Bambam-"

"We? There's no more we! You no longer belong to them!" He scowled angrily which made Chaeyoung flinched, her hand went on top of mine involuntarily-her natural instinct was to get a hold of me, which I would consider cute if I wasn't milliseconds from turning the fucking table upside down.

"I will always be a part of them, I'm their Alpha and you know it," I said lowly, my eyes mirrored the same dangerous glint displayed on his.

"I don't give a damn about the whole Alpha thing, Lali," Marco swallowed a heavy growl. "You're my heiress. You are the future of our company, that's who you are."

I clenched my jaw so fucking hard it could be misplaced by the overwhelming pressure I put.

"And don't you dare to worsen things up, Lalisa. You left them years ago. You left that cursed, filthy forest along with those indecent creatures inside it. Keep it that way,"

"I didn't leave them on my own demand, Goddamnit! You forced me to leave!" I was breathing heavily, I could feel my palms getting hotter and hotter as seconds passed. Chaeyoung seemed to notice and immediately put her hand on my thigh to soothe me.

Marco stared at me, his eyes glimmered with flame. I was so sure his golden iris were mirroring the flame I had in mine.

"You've messed up enough by leaving the company unattended for a fucking week. Act like my daughter if you still want to be one," And with that, Marco stood up and left the dining room.

I couldn't ignore the painfully tight feeling on my chest.

Fuck him, fuck his whole rules, fuck the company.

If he was to disown me because I was brave enough to stand up for the sake of my people, then so be it.

If he was to disown me because I wasn't enough for him, then so be fucking it.

I didn't need his fucking wealth and diamonds to define who I am.

Suddenly, I heard a loud clang, like metal being broken.

"Lisa!"

Chaeyoung squealed panicked while looking at my right hand. I, too, averted my gaze towards my right hand that was now covered in the green liquid. Shit.

Chaeyoung quickly took a napkin and wrapped my hand in order to stop the bleeding momentarily. Turned out I was gripping the silverware too hard that it broke in two and stabbed my palm, earning fresh, green blood to withdraw from it.

Jace sighed, "You must control your temper around him, Lis. If you still want to earn his respect," Jace made a move from his seat, he was going to make his way toward me to heal the wound.

I didn't need it.

Jace was partly right, but I didn't give any single fuck.

"I don't need his damn respect, I respect myself and that's enough," I stood up, yanking my hand from Chaeyoung's grasp. "I'm done."

I tried so hard not to look into Chaeyoung's hurt eyes, and with heavy feet, I sped off towards the only place I wanted to be at the moment.

Arriving at the estate's backyard, I inhaled a lungful of fresh air. Being in nature instantly calmed my body, it relaxed-but not my inner parts. I was still furious, frustrated, angry, and everything else I had bottled up since I arrived in the Northern Forest.

I need a release.

I need a big one.

And so I ran quickly towards the hill.

/CHAEYOUNG/

"Give her some time, Chaeng," Jace said, kissing my forehead softly. "I'm off to work, you'll be okay, right?"

"I will," I said, sighing heavily.

Jace didn't look really convinced, but he nodded and left me alone.

I missed Lisa, so bad.

She went away six days ago without telling me where she was heading to. Hell, I didn't even know when she was leaving, all I know was she's not in her room or nowhere in this estate. She was never here until this morning, and now she's gone again.

But this time, I actually knew where she was going. As a matter of factly, she's going to our backyard. That's one of her favorite getaways.

I finished my glass of orange juice before making my way towards the enormous backyard of the Manoban Estate. Green scenery instantly greeted me once I stepped out of the glass door.

I immediately knew why Lisa chose this place right now. With her elemental manipulation ability, she's so close to nature. She could communicate with the trees, leaves, water, and of course, animals. It shouldn't be questioned why she found such comfort here.

I stepped on the grass with my ballet shoes, my eyes wandering around the gap of the trees lining unsymmetrically. This place was massive, I didn't know how I was supposed to find Lisa. What I knew was, in moments like these, there were only two versions of her.

One, she'd go all stealth mode and block anything and everything off. Second, she'd go berserk and turn anything and everything into her personal punching bag. I disliked both, so I only hoped that I'd found her before any of the two happened.

But soon enough, I felt the ground slightly shook, followed by a loud splash on the lake.

I sighed, I was given the answer almost immediately.

She had definitely gone for the second option.

I followed the sound while once or twice held onto the trees when the ground shook. It was all Lisa's doing, no doubts.

Lisa was complicated. So, so complicated.

She could be all soft and loving and just purely adorable. She would shower me with hugs and kisses and adoration-the type an older sibling would give the youngest. Sometimes, she would be annoying and playful, but she never went too far. She would apologize if she did and would make sure she made up for it.

But then, moments like this happened, too. Where she'd be untouchable, furious, frustrated, angry, and blind. With the power that she held, she was able to shake the whole ground (like what she'd been doing now) and kill everything that went in her way. With the help of her Alpha vitality, which only worsened everything, she's unstoppable as well as unapproachable.

After felt like hours of walking, I finally saw her.

She was standing on top of the hill, she had dismantled her leather jacket and her shirt, leaving her only in a black sports bra and a pair of black trousers. I sighed, she's definitely angry.

She thumped her feet on the ground and it shook in response. I saw a head-sized rock flew from the ground until it was at level with her eyes. With a quick movement, Lisa took a step back and did a roundhouse kick. Her bare feet kicked the rock and it was sent flying rapidly towards the lake beneath; earning a loud splash from it.

Even with years seeing her doing those kinds of things, I was still left baffled each time. The distance between the lake and the hill was definitely not remote, it was probably five hundred meters away-but the rocks reached the lake with surprising speed, showing how powerful her kick was.

I didn't want to disrupt her session, so I just sat below a tree which was not too near nor too far away from her position. Near enough to see her clearly, but far enough to keep me safe. Not that Lisa would hurt me intentionally, but accidents could happen anywhere and any time. Hell, I almost died because of a freaking frisbee.

Lisa did the movement a couple of times more.

Though, she differentiated her techniques each time; roundhouse kick, front kick, a full on-air three-sixty kick, and even a backflip kick. I didn't know how she did that-she must have learned that back in her trainee days as the Guardians.

But then she stopped, and I assumed she had run out of rocks to kick.

Just when I thought she couldn't surprise me more, she did. She had only stood still at her place, but her muscles flexed. She then slowly shook, especially her upper body-her back muscles flexed painfully.

I was confused as to why was she doing that, but then my question was answered when
