/THIRD PERSON POV/

Lisa quickly let go of Jennie's waist, and Jennie retreated her hands from the former's biceps. They then acted like nothing had happened, fingers scratching neck and feet nervously shuffled on the floor beneath.

Chaeyoung and Jisoo shared a knowing look, both were confused at what they had seen but neither asked further explanations.

"Hey, what are you doing here?" Chaeyoung asked, approaching her older sister. The question turned out having two-sided meaning, but Lisa decided to ignore the second one.

"To remind you the main function of a phone," Lisa answered. "I've been calling you since yesterday yet you hadn't picked up even once. I thought someone kidnapped you."

"I'm sorry, I haven't checked my phone since yesterday afternoon," Chaeyoung offered an apologetic smile.

"Well, seems like Jendeuk has made breakfast here," Jisoo chirped in, taking a seat on the four chaired dining table.

"Right," Chaeyoung took the seat across Jisoo instantly.

Lisa looked over Jennie who had made her way to the chair beside Jisoo. Jennie put the ice cream topped pancake on the middle of the table, then poured chocolate syrup on top of it.

Lisa only took one pancake, and she even divided in half. She ate the first half and gave the other one to Chaeyoung's plate. Living with the latter for two decades, Lisa was aware that her younger sister was always the most hungry in the mornings.

Jennie noticed Lisa's action and smiled at the sight. The sight of the two siblings being all cute in front of her made her miss her little sister, Ella, all in a sudden. Ella loved her pancakes, such a shame that little lady lived so far away from her, in New Zealand along with her mom.

Her smile faltered when she saw Chaeyoung sweetly gave a light kiss on Lisa's cheek and the latter groaned playfully at it. Honestly, if she didn't know that both of them were siblings and they didn't look this much alike, she would've thought they were a couple.

A very sweet, loving couple.

Thank God they were siblings, then. Because Jennie couldn't bare if they were actually a couple, not with this weird feeling bubbling inside her stomach every time she laid her eyes on Lisa.

The four of them ate the pancakes with a little conversation here and then. Between every sentence, a pair of doe eyes would flicker into another pair of cat-like eyes.

This, of course, didn't go unnoticed by the other two. Jisoo and Chaeyoung shared another knowing look at the two sitting across each other beside them, but they decided not to say anything. Instead, they enjoyed the soft texture of Jennie's pancake blended with the fresh sweetness of vanilla and strawberry ice cream.

Lisa thought Jennie couldn't get any more likable, but she was proved wrong. When Chaeyoung told her Jennie was a great cook, she didn't think it was this good. Jennie was able to make a simple dish tasted so good, so delicious.

Lisa then found herself staring at Jennie way too long.

She was lost in the way Jennie's cheeks would puff out whenever the latter chewed the pancake, or how her eyes flickered here and there while processing it. And the sound of her laugh whenever Lisa let out corny jokes that Chaeyoung didn't even find amusing, it was just a beautiful melody to Lisa's ears.

After breakfast, Chaeyoung and Lisa thanked Jennie for the pancakes. Then exited the front door after Chaeyoung had collected all her belongings from Jennie's apartment.

Even when Chaeyoung asked her endless questions about the certain cat-like eyed brunette, Lisa couldn't get Jennie out of her mind. Not even once.

The moment earlier lingered in her mind more than she would like.

"Jesus. Shut up, Park Chaeyoung," Lisa spat, massaging her temple slightly, her head was spent spinning by both the thought of Jennie and Chaeyoung's questions.

"Whatever. You still have some explainings to do," Chaeyoung shrugged, a smile tugged on her lips for the rest of the ride, while her sister tried her best not to tickle her to death.

Meanwhile, Jisoo had practically dragged Jennie inside her bedroom and interrogated her from the very start.

"So, Jendeuk? What was that?"

"Nothing, Jisoo. I slipped and she caught me, that's what happened," Jennie crossed her arms in front of her chest as if it would prevent her heart from jumping vigorously.

"Honestly, it didn't look like nothing to me. You both looked like you're about to kiss, and you were this close,"

"Shut up,"

Jisoo realized she wouldn't get a thing by teasing Jennie—she then softened her tone.

"You know you can tell me everything, Jendeuk. I'll listen,"

"Sure, and mock me right after,"

Jisoo couldn't help but laugh at that because that was very much true. But nevertheless, she'd always be there whenever Jennie needed someone to talk to.

"No, I'm serious, I'm all ears," Jisoo looked at Jennie intently with genuineness clouding her eyes.

Jennie sighed in defeat and took a seat beside Jisoo on the bed.

"Alright, where do I start?"

"So, you're saying that you're attracted to her? But you're not sure how you feel about her yet?"

"Maybe that's the best way to put it out for now," Jennie answered. One hour after Jennie started telling Jisoo in detail from the very first time Jennie met Lisa, they laid full on their backs, staring at the white ceiling.

"She does seem like a great person, though. Just judging by how she treats Chaeyoung, anyone can tell she's the loving and caring kind of girlfriend, don't you think?"

"Yeah, I've thought about that, too,"

Then suddenly Jennie thought about Lisa's confession about her ex. How Lisa said that there won't be a day where she wouldn't love her ex.

"Chu, I think it's impossible for her to reciprocate my feelings,"

"What? Why?"

"She once told me she's still not over her ex," Jennie sighed, her heart feeling heavy all in a sudden.

"When?"

"Probably like two weeks ago?"

"Trust me, Jendeuk. She looks at you just the same way you look at her. If it isn't mutual then I don't know what is," Jisoo reassured, herself recalling the way Lisa's eyes softened whenever they landed on Jennie.

Jennie only hummed in response.

Their silence was suddenly interrupted by a notification coming from Jennie's phone. The latter reached for it, her eyes widen in surprise at the displayed name.

"Chu!" Jennie exclaimed, startling Jisoo who was about to fall into a deep slumber of sleep—she still needed to after staying up all night.

"What?"

"It's Lisa," Jennie whispered in disbelief, answering the call with a slightly shaking hand. Jisoo sat upright, scooting closer to Jennie so she could hear the conversation better.

"Hey, Jen,"

"Hey there," Jennie tried to hold her smile back as hard as she could.

"Um, do you got plans tonight?"

Jennie's heart thundered rapidly at the question. "No, why?"

"Great. So, I have this welcoming party tonight, you know, family business and stuff. I was actually going with Chaeng, but she ditches me to do her homework,"

Jennie held her breath, waiting for Lisa to continue.

"Chaeng told me you're done with the project," Lisa said, hesitating a while. "I was wondering if you would come with me tonight?"

Jisoo practically had to slam her mouth with her hands to prevent herself from making any sound. And Jennie was fucking speechless! She just couldn't believe Lisa had asked her to accompany her to a family-business party.

"Uh, you mean as your date? Or..."

"Yeah, a date. That sounds good,"

By now, Jisoo was already on the floor. Jennie silently screamed—excitement flooded over her being. Her heart was jumping up and down hysterically and she honestly couldn't blame it.

"So, Jennie Kim, what do you say?"

Without any hesitation, Jennie grinned as she answered the question.

"Yes, definitely. I'd love to go with you,"
