Alright, kids, HII!
So, this update is like a year late, hehe.

Okay, so the first part is a continuation (of sorts) of a part in Chapter 33.

Without further ado, the first bonus chapter of Trouble in Paradise!

~-~-~-~

Torryn Cole was seven years old when he first met the sneaky, chocolate-loving disaster that was Aria Miller.

Of course, then he only knew her by her first name, just a girl he had met at a playground he didn't even go to usually.

And yet.

And yet he had asked his dad to take him to the same playground the next day.

Unfortunately, their family business was going through a rough phase and his dad had decided that the playground they had at home would have to suffice.

What Torryn didn't know was that he wouldn't meet Aria Miller for another seven years. That was what fate had apparently decided when Torryn moved to a bigger city with his parents.

                                                                                                   ***

Torryn Cole was fourteen now. His family had moved back to the little town of Paradise and for that, he was grateful. As much as he liked the big, city-life, Paradise was home.

Torryn was happy to be going to the same school as three of his closest friends, Ethan, Matt, and Owen.

That was when he'd once again crossed paths with Aria Miller, this time learning the full name of this hurricane of a person.

Because that was what she was to him, a hurricane. Nothing had been the same ever since the day she came into his life. Like a hurricane she'd demanded all of his attention, and even though he'd spent years rebuilding the houses of friendship in his heart, the damage was done.

One interaction at the swings, and the hurricane had taken his heart.

But he didn't know that, when he, the newly enrolled student at Paradise High, told her that, yes, she was terribly lost, and no, the gym was nowhere near the chemistry labs.

Flashing him a thankful smile that had his brain go haywire for a good few moments, she had run off in the actual direction of the gym.

He only stared after her. He couldn't believe it. It was her

The girl from the playground. It had to be her. Her eyes, and her smile were the exact replica of the little girl he'd met.

Ethan had to physically shake him out of his stupor. Telling him that though it wasn't uncommon to see someone start-struck by Aria Miller, he certainly didn't expect Torryn to be a part of that crowd.

Torryn had snapped harshly at him, insisting that he was merely wondering at the girl's ridiculous sense of direction. Ethan had chosen to leave it at that.

When he was sure that his friends were sufficiently invested in the on-going discussion about which cafe they should go to after, he glanced back once more, at the direction the hurricane had disappeared off to.

Miller, huh?

The corner of his lips quirked up, shaking his head as he joined his friends once again.

***

Torryn Cole was seventeen now. He was staring into the beautiful, jade-green eyes of Aria Miller as some stupid, masked man held a gun to her head.

The same jade-green eyes that had only shown him one glimpse of fear before stony determination took over. He could hear his own heartbeat in his ears. It took him a good moment to realise that the jade-green pair of eyes were deliberately lowering to something on the table before meeting his own.

When he caught sight of the lone fork at his side, he immediately caught on to her plan.

When everything had settled down, he couldn't help but let his eyes stray to the hurricane beside him as she laughed at something one of his friends was saying.

Torryn was probably the most anti-social and shy, (though, he would never admit to the latter), person he knew. It was no surprise that he hadn't really talked to the hurricane of his heart in all these years.

Something told him that if he didn't take this opportunity, he would regret it.

Just as he was about to try and hopefully get a conversation going, Aria turned her green-eyed gaze toward him.

"I almost forgot, thank you for the fork. It would have sucked if you hadn't understood what I meant," She smiled in gratitude.

He merely shrugged, trying to appear calm and collected on the inside, while he searched his head for an acceptable reply.

"You're welcome. Also, what are you?" He immediately cringed inwardly, before hastily adding, "You were held at gunpoint, no matter that it was an orange one. How are you still so calm?" He sighed under his breath, he'd almost blown it.

Jade-green eyes narrowed in mischief before she smirked. "An adrenaline filled creature," She replied to his initial question before shrugging. "Don't worry, I'll freak out later."

At that, Torryn let a small smirk slip through.

This year was going to be interesting for sure.

***

Torryn Cole stared into Aria Miller's eyes, and smiled as he gave his answer.

Aria's mouth opened up in a beautiful laugh that he loved. Well, after everything they'd been through, he loved everything about her. He loved her smart brain, and her even smarter mouth that had only gotten worse after law school. He loved her cockiness, and he even loved her anger. There was no other person he'd rather spend the rest of his life with.

They'd been in a relationship for seven years now. Though Torryn had taken over the family business, he hadn't given up his love for art. Which was exactly how they had found themselves in front of an art exhibit in one of the most famous art galleries of Las Vegas.

It was an art piece named, "The Hurricane" with jade-green and chocolate brown as the main themes.

Aria had immediately understood it, a smile tugging at her lips as her eyes glimmered with tears before the usual mischief returned.

"Wanna do something crazy?" Aria had whispered to him, and his heart sped up in excitement at whatever wild idea was cooking up in that beautiful, wild brain of hers.

"Depends, sweetheart." He'd side-eyed her.

They both knew he would probably go along with whatever she was planning. The word no rarely ever left his mouth wherever she was concerned.

"Let's get hitched, Pigeon."

And now they were here, in a beautiful, albeit small, chapel.

"I do," Torryn had uttered, and Aria was giggling uncontrollably at how furious their friends and family members were going to be.

It was a small ceremony, hell, it almost wasn't a ceremony with how soon it was ending. But it wouldn't be them if it wasn't a short, impulsive-as-fuck wedding, seeing how the both of them were very lacking in the patience department.

Torryn was wearing a black t-shirt and sweatpants along with a tie that they'd borrowed from a confused and scared hotel manager. And, Aria?

He glanced at her again, and his lips stretched into what was probably the biggest smile in his life so far.

Torryn wanted to etch this visual into his brain forever, and was glad that they'd at least decided to hire a professional photographer, (which was only because they didn't want to infuriate certain people more than they already were.)

Aria was standing in front of him, wearing his white sweatshirt that she'd given him as a birthday gift a month back, and some new white, cotton shorts that were almost invisible under the sweatshirt. Her hair was tied up in the blue ribbon that had held together the wrapping for his Valentine's Day gift to her way back in senior year of high school.

When he'd asked her why she had brought it with her on what was supposed to be a random trip to Vegas, she'd only shrugged.

"Female intuition."

He'd shaken his head in wonder at that.

Now, her bright, jade-green eyes smiled at him as she confirmed, "I do."

Torryn returned her shit-eating grin with his own. He only tuned in to the officiant as he uttered the words, "You may kiss the bride."

The young, incredibly in-love, groom and bride smiled giddily before kissing.

"Chocolate cake after this?" Torryn murmured into the kiss.

"This is exactly why I'm marrying you, Pigeon," She laughed.

"Oh, I never questioned that, sweetheart," He laughed with her before deepening the kiss.

All these years with her, and he still hadn't gotten used to the feeling of kissing a hurricane.

After devouring an unhealthy amount of chocolate cake, Torryn and Aria raised their chocolate-flavored vodka-filled cups before making a toast, "To future impulsive adventures!"

Aria succumbed to a fit of giggles as Torryn smirked at her. His smirk soon melted into the smile of a husband very much in love with his wife.

His hurricane. His sweetheart.

BAM!
HEHEHEHEHE

I really hope y'all liked it. This baby has been collecting dust in my word doc for quite some time T^T

Trust final exams to kick in my writer instincts, eh?

Anywho, that's all for now! I'd decided that I would rewrite the first forty chapters, at least, but the great monster called 'college' has prevented me from doing so. Hopefully, I'll get around to it one day.

If y'all have anything you wished would happen in the book, but didn't, DO SHARE IT WITH ME :D

Who knows? Maybe I'll write another bonus chapter!
