Yuna's POV

To my surprise I saw Kenma. He looked dirty. He had dirt on his face as well was on his clothes and arms. His legs were also cover in dirt and cuts as well as bruises.

Could he perhaps, tried to escape? I shouldn't jump to conclusions. Would he try to escape without me? Kuroo put his drink on the table in front of us and stood up.

"Come here Kenma." Kuroo demanded.

He was smirking like he knew that he couldn't escape. I put my arm on the arm rest that was on the couch. Kenma looked terrified.

He slowly stumbled over towards Kuroo. While he was walking past me he slipped what seemed to be a note into my hand. It was so sneaky I didn't even notice it until I realized the note was in my hand.

I quickly took my hand off the arm rest and slipped the note into my pants pocket. Kenna stood in front of Kuroo looking terrified.

"Why would you try to leave me? You made me sad." Kuroo said and unexpectedly pulled Kenma into a hug.

Kuroo started to pet Kenna's short blonde and brown hair.

"You know you deserve a punishment, right?" Kuroo asked Kenma.

I was too focused on what was going on with Kenma and Kuroo I didn't even realize that Mr. Sugawara had gotten up.

He was pulling on my arm as a signal for us to leave. I stood up and followed him out of the living room. He took me around through the back of the house where I saw a door.

He opens it and it lead to what looked like a garden? All the plants were dead but it still seemed beautiful.

There was a swing set in the far back. A fence wrapped around the entire garden tightly.

The fence was wood colored a bright shade of light yellow. Where the hell was he going with this? I needed to read the note that Kenma gave me. He brought me outside and the grass tickled at my feet.

"Where are we going?" I asked.

"Somewhere outside of the house. You can't be in there while Kuroos angry." He said not even taking a glance at me.

I stayed silent. What was gonna happen to Kenma? He walked a few more steps and then suddenly stopped. He grabbed my shoulders and sat me down onto the swing set.

"Now stay there. Don't do anything stupid." He demanded before running off back inside.

Don't do anything stupid? He really thought I was gonna listen to him? After a few minutes and I confirmed that he was gone and he wasn't watching me.

I took the note out of my pocket. I moved my feet and let the ropes that tied the seat of the swing move back and forth.

The note read "get in trouble. Trust me." The hand writing was messy and it looked like he rushed to write the note. Get into trouble?

What does he mean? I don't fully trust him yet. He could be working with those two for all I know and testing me.

But he seems desperate. Fine I'll get into trouble I guess. But I don't know what he means by that. I got up from the swing and shoved the note back into my pocket

. I stood on a old bags of soil. That were piled on top of each other. I looked over the fence. I saw a few yards of grass and then trees. Could I climb over this fence and then get caught on purpose?

How much trouble did he want me to get in? He didn't specify anything. Ugh fuck it. I put some strength in my arms and lifted myself over the fence.

I landed on my back on the other side. As I made impact with the ground the air was knocked out of me. I turned over to my side and coughed as I tried to regain my breath. I stood back up.

How will I get caught on purpose? Well I suppose I can just sit down here until I hear Mr. Sugawara come back out and then start running.

He's gonna catch up to me. I'm not a very fast runner. So that means he'll probably catch up to me in maybe 30 or 40 seconds.

Although I don't understand what he means by get in trouble. What will that do? Unless...oh that smart ass. He wants to talk in private.

There's no possible way that we could talk privately unless we got into trouble and locked into the basement again. I guess he really was smart. I then heard the door open. Well I guess that's my cue.

I stood up and started running. I don't know where. I ran around the house to try to find the driveway I was at before when I first came here.

I ran around a corner and found the driveway. I started to run down it. Mr. Sugawara most likely caught on by now.

He'll realize where I'm trying to go and try to catch up to me by coming out the front door since it's faster.

As soon as I thought that Mr. Sugawara came out the front door. Okay I gotta look like I'm actually trying.

I can't just run slowly. I ran as fast as I could. My legs already burned. My heart rate was high.

I ran down the dirt driveway as I heard footsteps behind me. It was getting harder to breath. The driveway seemed to be about a mile long.

The footsteps got closer. It's okay. You have to be caught and get into trouble. I felt a pressure on my back as I stumbled forward onto the ground. The dirt road skimming across my face.

"I told you not to do anything stupid." He said as he was on top of me.

"It didn't hurt to try." I sighed.

"Alright come on let's go back." He said getting off of me.

He seemed too calm. He wasn't angry enough. He stood me up and I started screaming and kicking. His hands were tightly wrapped around my waist.

I started to kick his legs and scream. It was seeming to work because his grip became tighter.

"Stop trying." He said firmly.

He picked me up and started to walk back. I just screamed and kicked even more. He walked back to the house. He threw me inside and closed the door as I fell to the ground.

"You've been bad." He said to me.

I looked over into the living room where Kenma had been. He was gone.

"Look at me when I'm talking to you." He said grabbing my face with his hand and making me face him.

I spat at his face.

"Let me leave." I demanded.

He wiped the spit off my face with the sleeve of his shirt. He slapped me in the face. I tasted a familiar metallic taste in my mouth. Blood.

My face stung. He then grabbed me by the hair and started to drag me across the floor. I still struggled. We got to the same hallway I was in before when I first got here.

He opened the door to the basement and threw me down. I rolled down the stairs and landed flat on my back. The air got knocked out of my lungs once again.

"Ow." I coughed in my fist as blood also came out of my mouth.

"Y-Yuna?" I heard someone say.

It was Kenma. It was dark so I couldn't see much but I could tell it was him by his voice.

"Yeah." I said as I coughed and sat up.

"You really listened to the note?" He asked.

"Yeah why wouldn't I? Although I think I over did it." I said standing back up.

I walked over to where I was hearing Kenma's voice and sat down next to him.

"So why'd you wanna talk to me?" I asked.

"How did you- I um well. There's a reason I tried to escape. I wasn't actually going to. I just wanted to check outside and around the area to see if we could run." He started to explain. "But when I got to the end of the drive way there was a.....a....." he started to choke on his own tears.

"It's okay clam down." I assured him in a smooth voice.

I couldn't quite see him but I could tell he had been beaten. And it was bad.

"There was an electric fence. It had barbed wire on the top. It was about I think 10 feet tall. I couldn't open it because I couldn't touch it. Even when I tried to touch it with something covering my hands it wouldn't open. I checked how far out the fence went. It went out all around the property. There's no way out Yuna. We're stuck here." He sniffed.

I pulled my knees up to my chest and hugged them. I had to think. There was no way we were stuck here. There has to be a loop hole. There always is. Then it clicked.

"Kenma by any chance while you were walking around looking to see if the fence ended, did you see a box attached to the fence? It's normally gray, about a foot long, 10 inches wide, and has a big yellow warning sign on it." I asked.

"W-what?" He asked as he wiped his tears.

"Did you see a gray box attached to the fence when you were walking around?" I asked again.

"Y-yeah but why?" He asked.

He was in a state of shock. His brain wasn't functioning as it normally would.

"The fence is most likely remote controlled. So that means it opens at a press of a button. But also in that same gray box there's wires that if you can shut down the whole fence it will open." I explained. "What are your experiences in engineering and robotics?"

"I took an engineering class in 6th grade." He said blankly.

If it was in 6th grade he most likely didn't do anything to do with wiring.

"I also failed that class." He mentioned.

"How do you fail that class? It's just building things out of craft sticks." I said.

"I dunno the new animal crossing game came out that year." He said.

"I- okay. We'll figure this out." I said.

I began to think. I didn't have much experience in wiring. I took a robotics class in my first year of high school but didn't do much on the wiring while building a robot.

I didn't really know what I was doing then. Besides an electric fence is probably completely different. But it would help to have some knowledge on wiring.

It's not just about knowing how to shut down the fence, there's also another problem. Time. The amount of time it would take to get to the fence is probably about 7 minutes while running.

Walking would take at least 15-20 minutes. Not to mention the fact that the box could be far away from the fence opening.

Well there is another option but we can't do that. I started to think harder. If we're gonna escape then I need to build up my stamina. I also need to learn about wiring.

I doubt Kenma would have the opportunity to since Kuroo seems really strict. Fuck. It's gonna be hard to do. But it's not impossible for one of us to escape.

"Kenma?" I asked.

"Yeah?" He replied.

"Can you promise me something?"

"What?"

"That no matter what happens at least you will escape?" I asked.

"I mean sure but why do I need to-" He stopped talking at the sound of footsteps approaching the door.

Kenma separated from me and hid in the corner. I'm sure he always had a good reason in doing that.

The door opened and light came into the dark basement. It was Kuroo. He walked down the stairs and was surprised to see me.

"Oh, your down here too?" He asked.

I didn't respond.

"Whatever, Kenma your time is up. Come on back. I'll treat your wounds." He said looking over to the corner.

Kenma slowly stood up and walked over to Kuroo. He climbed up the stairs and Kuroo followed. He closed the door. I was alone again....

If I ever spell Sugawara like Sugwara just know that was autocorrect. The same goes for if I spell Kenma as Kenna.
