I'm going to move. Yep, I said it. I'm moving somewhere warm and sunny all year long. No more freezing cold winters, no more bitter winds, and definitely no more ice that clung to the sidewalks.

Ice was my nemesis. Aside from making me fall right on my ass leaving my apartment this morning, I also fell on my knees getting out of my car. Didn't help it was dark outside still and there wasn't enough sun to slightly unfreeze the sidewalks.

With a throbbing butt and burning knees I hobbled towards the bakery. I'm pretty sure I cut my knees too. Muttering curse words under my breath I pulled out my keys, body already shaking from the cold. I wanted nothing more than a warm cup of coffee and heat. And since I was here at 5 o'clock in the morning I had plenty of time to make me some and warm up before starting any of the desserts for the day.

As I neared the front doors I glanced up only to pause at the shadowy figure leaning against the wall next to it. In a matter of seconds I had my keys in-between my fingers and I was ready incase whoever it was came at me.

When the figured moved I flinched before squaring my shoulders. It being dark did not help my fear what's so ever. Just as I was getting ready to panic the figure stepped into the little bit of light coming off the streetlights.

"Logan you asshole." I practically yelled. Second day in a row he's scared the shit out of me. "What the hell are you doing here?"

"You really need to learn to defend yourself." Was the first thing out of his mouth.

"That's all you're focused on right now? Really?" I clenched my jaw.

"If I was a kidnapper I could have easily grabbed you."

"Well you aren't so stop with the showing up and scaring me." I bit out, storming past him to unlock the doors. "How long have you been here?"

Logan just shrugged, his hands stuffed in his pockets like usual. Despite being pissed at him for scaring me I was in desperate need of warmth and coffee and by the looks of it Logan's been waiting for a little. He was trying to hide it but I could see the slight tremor in his shoulders.

"Get your ass inside." I grumbled. The smell of his cologne hit my nose as he brushed by me, temporarily clouding my head. Damn why did he smell so good. Shaking my head I locked the door behind me.

The shop was dark but having done this enough times I easily made my way towards the counter to flip a light on. Nothing too bright but enough to see. Despite Logan's opinion I wasn't stupid enough to flip on all the lights and let anyone know I was in here, alone.

"Why are you here Logan? It's 5 in the morning." I questioned, limping around to start the coffee pot. Now that my adrenaline was fading my scrapped knees were back to burning.

"Why are you limping?" He ignored my question. "Olivia are you hurt?" I turned just in time for him to come around the counter in a few long strides. His eyebrows were drawn in as he came to a stop inches from me. He towered over me as his eyes looked me from head to toe.

"I'm fine." My voice came out all breathy, making me inwardly curse.

"No, you aren't." The brown eyes of his were staring at me intently, seeing right through me. I let out a sigh.

"I slipped on some ice. No big deal." I went to move when he grabbed my elbow.

"Let me look at it."

"Logan its-"

"Olivia." His tone left no room for arguments. The way he said my name shouldn't have sent a shiver down my spine and made heat pool in my stomach. "Where is your first aid kit?"

"Under the register." I barely had the words out before he moved. I stood there frozen. It only took just a second for him to grab the first aid kit and come back to me.

"Where does it hurt?" The words 'I'm fine' were on the tip of my tongue but one sharp look from him had me swallowing them.

"My knees." I whispered.

Without a word he grabbed me by the waist and hoisted me up on the counter. A little squeak left my lips at the sudden motion. Where we were at was enough light that I could see his face as he glanced at my lips for a second. Subconsciously I tugged my bottom lip into mouth. I could have sworn I saw a look pass over his face before he looked away, his jaw clenched.

"Can I?" He gestured to my leggings. Not trusting my voice I just nodded. His fingertips were cold as he grabbed my ankle and brought my leg up a little. Placing my foot on his thigh he put his fingers under my legging and moved upwards.

My breath caught in my throat at the action. Tingles followed the path his fingers took as he moved the fabric over my calves up to my knees. Thank god I shaved last night or this would be embarrassing. I tried not to shiver at the feeling of his rough hands on my skin.

When he went to pull my leggings up over my knee I let out a hiss as the fabric rubbed against the sensitive flesh. There was definitely a cut there. Gripping the edge of the counter I bit my lip harder as he finally got my pants up and over my knee.

With a quick look down I saw the tickle of blood coming from my knee. It wasn't bad but the lighting seemed to make it look worse.

"Oh god." I breathed, not a fan of blood at all.

"You cut them pretty good." His hands left that leg and moved to my other one. This time he didn't go as slow. In a quick motion he hand the legging up and over my knee. "Hold still."

No part of me was going to argue with him as he backed away and moved towards the back. For some odd reason I felt exposed sitting on the counter without him here. It wasn't like I was naked or anything but I felt....empty without his touch on me.

Only a second passed before he was back with Edith's chair in his hands. He put it in front of me and took a seat between my legs. Thank god it was dark in here and he couldn't see the blush spreading across my cheeks. Not now Olivia!

I sat there silently watching as he opened the kit and rifled through it until he got what he needed. He moved so effortlessly. Like with everything he did.

"I'm sorry." Was all the warning I got before he touched a wet cloth to my knee.

"Fu-" I swallowed my curse at the burning. I tightened my grip on the counter and closed my eyes. The feeling of his other hand touching the back of my knee had my eyes popping open.

All I could focus on now was the rough pads of his fingers softly moving against my skin as he cleaned my cut up. I was pretty sure it wasn't intentional but it definitely helped keep my mind off of the stinging from the cut.

"You need better shoes." He said gruffly, patting my knee dry.

"These are good shoes." I protested. He didn't brother replying as he grabbed a bandaid. My eyes followed his long fingers as he gently placed it on my knee. The amount of gentleness he was showing was surprising. For such a big man he could really be gentle.

When he moved to my other knee this time I was prepared for the sting but like with the other knee his hand came up and completely distracted me. I wasn't sure what was wrong with me. A simple touch was enough to make me a mess. Get it together Olivia!

"Are you going to answer why you are here?" I made myself talk so I couldn't focus on his hands anymore. I looked down at him, only seeing his brown hair as he bent over my knee. I thought he wasn't going to answer as the clock on the wall ticked loudly.

"Thought maybe you could use some help." The way he said it once again brought butterflies to my stomach. Logan looked up at me from under his lashes as he gently put the bandaid on. I almost stopped breathing for a moment as I stared down at him.

The light made his cheek bones and jaw look even more sharp. His strong nose, a little crooked, fit his face perfectly. My eyes landed on his lips. Lips that looked too tempting. Every part of me yearn to find out what they felt like against mine. God all I had to do was lean down a bit and I could.

I could feel the lips I've thought about endlessly felt like. Peeking at his eyes I thought I saw lust in them. The same look that no doubt were filling mine. I swallowed thickly.

Just as I was about to say 'fuck it' the beeping from the coffee pot made me jerk. I literally saw the walls immediately crash down in Logan's eyes as he sat back. The moment completely ruined. His face was once again emotionless as he stood up and grabbed the first aid kit.

Closing my eyes briefly I pushed back the feeling of embarrassment and regret. It was probably in my head that he was looking at me like that. There was no way Logan saw me as anything other than his best friends little sister. As soon as I got that through my head the better.

With a slightly aching chest I pulled down my leggings and jumped down from the counter. Going over to the coffee pot, ignoring the man behind me, I grabbed two mugs.

"If you want to help you better get ready for a long busy day."
