And that's when I saw it, causing my blood to run cold.

There I was, standing in the middle of a room so familiar that chills ran up my spine.

This can't be...

This is just an illusion.

I looked around, taking in everything surrounding me. From the desk, to the closet, to the shitty homework assignment I had finished before I was thrown into another world. I felt sick to my stomach as I stood there, unmoving.

And for some reason, something had caused me to look at my hands, and to my surprise,

You gotta be shitting me...

IM FUCKEN SEE-THROUGH

I quickly brought my hand to my face, trying to rub this fucken scene away. Suddenly everything went back to being bright again and I opened my eyes to see that I was back in the arena. Sucks for me that coming right towards me was Kaminari. As quick as I could I once again threw myself and rolled away like a full blown bowling ball tryna hit the stupid pins.

Strikeeee

I got up on my feet only to get another massive headache. I closed my eyes in pain and tried to send another blast towards Kaminari, but it was too weak to even be considered a blast.

"1.2 Million Volts!"

I opened my eyes just to see the massive wave get sent my way, and that was when I knew I was too late to do anything to avoid it. With one of my legs rendered useless as well as the death blown headache I'm having, I was basically waiting to be hit. It took about a second for the electric surge to hit me, and when it did, I screamed out in pain as I felt every nerve in my body burn to a fucken crisp. As the last remaining shock of electricity stopped, I instantly fell to the ground.

I could barely hear anything, but I felt as though all eyes were on me, seeing what my next move would be. I willed myself to get my ass back up, twitching in the process. When I looked towards Kaminari, he looked as if he didn't have a thought behind those eyes. He kept making random noises, but no coherent words whatsoever.

Now's my chance.

I took one step forward and instantly felt sharp pain shoot through my body. I looked down only to see my leg looking like a burnt piece of steak. Looking at it made me wanna scream out once again but I forced myself to hold it in and continued to walk toward Kaminari.

Headache? Pounding

Leg? Burnt

Body? Aching

Mind? Shaken

Hotel? Trivago

I staggered as I almost fell to the ground, but luckily I was able to catch myself. Once I finally reached him, I pushed him so he could walk backwards. Since there wasn't a struggle whatsoever, my legs weren't in too much pain since I used him as some form of support. It was getting harder and harder to remain focused as my body kept twitching and I started seeing black seep to the corner of my eyes. I felt movement coming from Kaminari so I looked up to see that he was regaining his sense of reasoning.

Shit shit shit

I forced myself to move him back faster, pain scouring through my body like wildfire, reaching every corner. I heard some cheering but with much difficulty due to my ears ringing like crazy. As I looked down, I noticed we were finally at the borderline, to which Kaminari started to struggle a bit against my hold on him. I looked to see his face, which finally went back to normal.

"Shit"

That was the final warning for me, knowing that he can speak in coherent words. I used up all my remaining strength and shoved him with all my might. He staggered backward, passing the line. As soon he was across, the crowd roared with cheers and excitement.

"THAT WAS A CLOSE CALL EVERYONE, BUT WE HAVE A WINNER!"

Thanks to Present Mic's loud ass speaker voice, the headache that seemed to have died down a bit came back at full force, making me wanna vomit.

"Y/n advances to the second round!"

Midnight moved her pom pom thingy, meaning it was the official end of the round. I saw movement coming towards me, so I moved my head slowly to see Kaminari's hand sticking out towards me.

"Good job Y/n, I really thought I was going to win that bet, but better luck next time for me I guess. Congrats on winning."

I smiled as I lifted my hand to reach his, but everything hit me all at once, all the pain I had endured through this fight, causing me to start tilting backwards. I knew what was going to happen, so before I completely fell, I grabbed his hand.

"Thanks Kaminari. You did a good job too."

And I let go, allowing myself to fall backwards. My head hit the ground first, and without a moment too soon, everything faded to black.
