"What you've done is far worse than a measly lawyer who potentially knows too much about me. I need to make an example of you. You understand." Mikhail continued. My head shot to the side as I saw my boss's men began stalking towards us slowly. Grabbing and pulling Nathan's hand through the crowds to leave making the men bolt after us.

"Before you go I gotta know one thing." My boss yelled over the crowds. I reluctantly stopped in place not turning around knowing we weren't going to get out of here this easily.

"Did you really think putting me behind bars would keep you safe?" He began casually as I turned back around. Mikhail began walking casually towards us. "You have no idea how deep this goes, Genevieve. There are men I work amongst who are much worse than me. Who won't hesitate to come after you and kill everyone you've ever spoken to." Mikhail explained walking up to us. "I've been far too patient with you."

He motioned over at his other security guards making my lips part snapping my attention away from Mikhail. They all rushed down the stairs and left their doorways and hallways circling us. Stumbling backwards wanting to run but I knew there was no use.

"I don't blame you. I blame myself. It had been apparent to me for some time that you had... succumbed to your feelings for him. I should've known that a woman wouldn't have been able to complete the task. I should have just kept you on your assignments against cheating husbands. You clearly weren't ready for a mission like this. I expected too much of you. ." He finished as I lost count on all of the men pushing through the crowds. People watched us and glared at Mikhail's mens lack of manners.

Grabbing Nathan's hand turning around to finish running towards the door. The doors quickly shut by his men making me stumble. "What are you doing? You said they were just here for protection." Jay, Nathan's father said stepping away from his confused wife. Feeling two of his men come up beside me roughly pulling each of my arms behind my back.

I remained calm keeping my head held high burning holes into Mikhail. Nathan quickly started trying to get them off of me making others run up to him. "Get off! Gen!" Nathan beamed as they pulled him away from me. He struggled to pull away and fight back as I stood calmly not resisting trying to ignore Nathan not wanting him to distract me.

"You mean he just used you not caring about you or anyone else here?" I asked sarcastically as everyone around us starred wide eyed. "I'm shocked." I finished through a fake gasp. Valerie frowned as our eyes met making me look away in shame. My boss walked up to me as the men held me with a death grip keeping me still.

Nathan's family security rushed towards us as the music abruptly stopped and people spread away from us. He didn't stop until he was inches from my face making me slowly fill with fear for what he was going to do. Clearly not afraid of making a scene with so many witnesses. Nathan relaxed beginning to give up on being let go.

"You're never going to see that daughter of yours again." He growled under his breath before stepping away to point a gun at my forehead. People gasped and screamed as I tensed trying not to give him the satisfaction of seeing me afraid. My breath hitched as I stood straighter.

A few of his men shot at Nathan's security. Everyone screamed stumbling back in confusion who was around us. Most people were too shocked to move trying to come to terms with what was happening. I looked around at everyone's parted lips in fear and shock. "Get out!" Mikhail roared over the quiet ballroom.

He lifted his gun above my head and shot into the ceiling making me jump out of my skin. My heart raced and everyone run out the doors in fear including Nathan's parents. Tripping and pushing over others, turning over tables and chairs as they all left in a hurry. The entire estate was emptied within seconds as we never tore our eyes away from each other. He continued to point his glock at me until I heard Nathan yell.

"Valerie, leave!" He said making me snap my head to see Valerie from afar shuffling backwards in fear with wide eyes. "This must be your sister." Mikhail said smiling before turning his gun onto her making her gasp reaching out for a nearby table. I took the opportunity to kick the gun from his hand. Pulling away from the guards grasp to pull out my gun all in one swift move.

Taking the gun from my holster, shooting as many men as I could as they all charged towards me. Stumbling backwards as they all grew closer knowing there was too many of them. Punching and kicking as many as I could but it wasn't long until I felt them punch me before grabbing me. One of them pulled my hair back as another stood in front of me and punched my stomach.

"Gen!" Nathan beamed trying to pull away. I coughed and hunched over in pain struggling to stay upright in their cruel hold. I looked to see Valerie had left making me ease grateful I didn't have another person to worry about.

As my boss walked up to me wiping the blood from his nose and looking down at it amused. "No one has been able to make me bleed in a while." Mikhail stated as I stayed quiet making him chuckle. "Of course, only you could. I've always known you were the best." He said making me frown confused.

"What do you mean? You've done nothing but show how much I needed to improve. You gave me all of your dirty work and everyone else better cases. You gave me everything about him. You didn't even think I was capable to find Nathan or where he worked or lived on my own." I stated firmly full of annoyance. He walked over to his gun on the floor making me watch his every move.

"Of course, because I already know where he works and lives. I know him. I wanted the mission completed as quickly and quietly as possible, so I gave you all of the information you needed. I knew no one would get the job done like you. You make it seem effortless. You're effective." Mikhail praised making me tense. "Clean and quick!" He waved his gun around aimlessly man me jump watching it anxiously.

"At least you were. Which is why I was upset to know Mr. Vanderbilt hadn't died mysteriously yet." He said pointing the gun at Nathan. "No! Don't!" I pleaded finally trying to pull away from the men. Mikhail looked over at me full of disbelief. "You actually care for him?" He asked disappointed.

"A shame someone like you would fall for someone like him. A lawyer who prosecutes people worse than us. Who've done far less odious and horrid things." He laughed. "I thought you were stronger- smarter than that. How sad. Pathetic." Mikhail finished raking me up and down stepping closer pointing the gun at me again.

My breath hitched as he placed it at my temple, dragging the gun softly down the side of my face making me turn my head. Feeling one of the men grab my ass. Another horny guard leaned into my neck. "How could Dominic every leave someone as hot as you?" One of them asked. My blood ran cold hearing his name after all these years.

I knew the power everyone had that was getting to their head. They all thought women were just objects to get off on and then throw away when they're done.

"The only reason you hate Nathan is because you fear him. That's pathetic." I said pulling away harshly from the men making them pull, gripping me tighter. Holding my head high not afraid to egg him on. I needed to do anything to get these men off me.

"You're afraid of me and what I'll do. You said it yourself I'm the best. That's why you have them." I smiled motioning to the obvious men around me as the others laid dead. "I am not scared of you." He said leaning his face dangerously close to mine making me grin.

"I was trained by the most dangerous people. Taught how to kill a man with any weapon." I continued in a low tone full of confidence. "But my bare hands was always so much more fun." I confessed through a smile calmly looking up at him amused. He only grew angrier that I wasn't more afraid. "Doesn't make you better than me, darling. I was killing people while you were bouncing around foster homes and waiting tables."

"Then prove it. Let them go." I said trying to taunt him. He turned his back walking away from me. I looked over at Nathan to see he was tense watching us with a twisted look on his face making me look away. "Let her go." My boss said after silently debating on it.

The men around me were hesitant to listen making him snap his head. "Now!" He growled as they were told. I was grateful to not have them all touching me anymore, but I knew I put myself into a situation I had to find a way out of.

Mikhail had to have been stronger than me because of his status. Remembering everything my martial arts trainer had taught me over the years as Mikhail looked at me full of hatred as our eyes met. He began stalking slowly towards me stopping abruptly in front of me. Waiting impatiently for him to start attacking me.

Mikhail brought his hand up my face making me fight the urge to flinch away from him. He grabbed my chin making me frown in disgust as I tried pulling away making him grip harder.

"Our bare hands only. With your training I'm sure you're perfectly able." He stated taking off his jacket making me pull away harshly. "Gen." Nathan pleaded knowing we were about to fight to the death. I closed my eyes before looking over at him.

"Make sure she's going to be okay." I said softly as I looked over at his frightened expression. "No, Gen-" Nathan struggled to reply as he tried to pull away. "Aw," Mikhail punched me and kicked me in the stomach without warning.

"Neither of you will be leaving here alive." He continued to punch me across my face. I hunched over in pain coughing and gasping in pain unable to prepare myself. "You're going to regret provoking me."  Mikhail tried punching me again making me grab his fist before snapping it punching his nose. "You're going to regret threatening my daughter's life."

He groaned in pain but wasn't fazed making me try to punch him again before he grabbed my arm and flipped me over onto my back. I fell hard on the marble floor. Jumping onto my feet ripping my dress short to not have anything in the way of my legs.

Kicking off my heals standing firmly on the cold floor waiting for him to attack me. Mikhail kicked me in the leg before he lunged to punch me again. I moved away from him deflecting his hits before his fist punched my ribs and jaw. His knuckles collided with my stomach. I gasped softly getting the wind knocked out of me hearing him laugh to himself.

He stepped closer to me. "You're making me doubt how experienced you claim to be." Mikhail said as he pulled my hair back making me look up at him as I bent over in pain. Letting me go with a shove stumbling backwards as my hair fell around my face.

I quickly moved as he tried to hit me before I punched him in the throat kicking him in the groin before punching him across the face and up his jaw in quick swift moves. Kicking him in the ankle with my bare foot as he struggled to recover making his ankle cave in. Mikhail spun his leg under me making me trip and fall. He quickly got on top to strangle me.

Digging my nails into his hands. Struggling to breathe, I held his wrists pushing them away him as hard as I could making him loosen his grip. His eyes widened at my strength to hold onto him and push him away.

Grabbing his head bringing it up to my knee and kneeing him in the face. I kicked him off me standing quickly as I held my neck trying to catch my breath. Mikhail charged towards me again before we continued to fight quickly dodging one another's blows.

I used my elbow to hit him across the face before he quickly held me in a headlock. Struggling to breathe again as he held tightly. With a loud groan I grabbed him flipping him over me making me stumble and land on top of him.

"Now it's getting fun." He said sliding his hand up my thigh making me shove it off taking the knife from the inside of my thigh.

I held it up to his throat making him laugh. "You broke the rule." He smiled up at me. "Rules are meant to be broken." I panted before he punched me in the stomach.

It sliced the side of his neck as I coughed letting go of the blade. It clattered only the floor as I crawled away from him before we stood back up. Looking down at the blade he now gripped in his hand. I looked up into his cold murderous eyes to see he was already studying me intensely.

Without warning he began lunging the knife swiftly trying to stab me repeatedly. Grabbing a nearby chair, I was extremely quick with figuring out his movies towards me blocking each one. He walked towards me as I walked backwards trying to avoid the blade piercing my skin.

The blade had finally sliced me but quickly ignoring it before hitting it out of his hand with the chair and throwing it at him. I held my bloody arm in pain knowing the cut was deep. "Just let this go. Let us go." I pleaded breathless. "You haven't earned it. Come on, show me why you're the best. Don't be shy." Mikhail motioned to all of the men watching us intensely. I knew even if I did manage to kill him, I would still have to get through them to get out of here.

"I'm sure he'd love to see what you're capable of." My boss said making me look over at Nathan forced to watch by the men around him holding him still.

I was ashamed for Nathan to see this side of me. I had never cared for how I was perceived by others until I met him. This part of my life wasn't who I really was. I've been more myself than I've ever been when I was with Nathan. I felt disgusted knowing how he must think watching us fight like this knowing he hasn't seen me fight this deadly before.

My thoughts were cut short seeing him come towards me making me force the thoughts away. I needed to survive to keep him and Rose safe.

I blocked all his punches and kicks as I successfully punched him multiple time before he grabbed my extended arm and threw me onto the hard marble staircase making me roll down them. It took me longer to get on my feet from the pain of falling on each stair making him grab my head kneeing me in the nose before he punched my temple. The back of my head fell back on the floor.

He stopped laughing to himself looking down at me in pain trying to get up. I knew I needed to step up my game and keep fighting. Reluctantly get onto my back kicking up onto my feet before we continued our attack on one another. His punches were faster than mine as I defended myself not being able to attack him back.

I could feel the bruises forming on my ribs, face, and forearms from defending his punches. Reaching over at a nearby table before pushing it over on the ground between us catching him off guard giving me opportunity. Punching him methodically multiple times as hard as I could. Each time he stumbled backwards not being able to defend himself as blood began to pool from his nose and mouth.

Mikhail grabbed my fist before snapping it making me yell in pain. He stepped towards me still holding my sprained wrist squeezing it making me groan. "Are you even trying?" He asked before I pulled my wrist away ignoring the pain as I continued to punch him.

I punched his Adam's apple making him cough holding it in pain. Kicking his diaphragm as hard as I could making him fly onto the table. The glass table broke under him as he fell to the ground. He had a bleeding head wound trying to stand as I rushed towards him.

I kicked him across the face as he kneeled trying to stand. Holding his suit in a fist punching him each time blood pooled and spilled on the white floor. Grabbing a broken leg of the chair holding it like a baseball bat hitting him across his face and his kneecap making him yell out in pain. I hit him harder across the face again.

Panting as I dropped the piece of wood as I watched him slowly stand never looking away from my eyes. He walked up to me before he spit at me making me close my eyes as I flinched feeling his bloody spit drip on my face. I opened my eyes to see his red teeth starring down at me amused before we continued to fight.

Walking backwards as we fought with bloody and bruised knuckles. I felt the marble stairs behind my ankles stumbling backwards careful not to stumble. I was now taller than him as I continued to punch him swiftly as hard as I could before pausing as his eyes swelled. "How does it feel to be beaten by a woman you found in a diner?" I panted bending down to his height as we stood on the stairs.

I slowly stood up straight as he took a step back on the staircase struggling to stand. Doing a spin kick knockout as hard as I could with an exhausted yell and grunt.

My former boss flew backwards into the air before landing hard on his back at the base of the stairs. Seeing him lying motionless on the floor letting go of a heavy sigh limping down the staircase. Mikhail groaned and struggled to move. I stood beside him for a moment watching him cough up blood before slowly squatting down to look at him in the eyes knowing he had probably suffered a brain or spine injury.

He silently plead for his life looking up into my eyes as I calmly holding his head before snapping it letting his head fall to the ground. I stood slowly seeing his lifeless disheveled, bloody body lying on the floor.

Looking up at the room as all the men realized what happened. They all hesitantly ran towards me as some ran out the door obviously intimidated of the woman that I just killed their boss who was known to be the only one to truly fear.

I yelled in exhaustion as I began to fight the remaining men. A few of them pulled out their guns making me kick it out of their hands. I grabbed the one in his hands aiming it up as he pulled the trigger into the ceiling before I punched him in the nose. I shot blindly as I faced the others making two of them fall on their knees being shot in the leg and head.

I saw Nathan fighting off the two men who were previously holding him back. One of the men pointed their gun at me making me yank a man's arm to use as a shield getting shot three times.
