1. Rin Satsuki would have been the third playable character of Embodiment of Scarlet Devil but was cut during production due to time constraints. She looks kind of weird, so I'm okay with that, though I would have liked to see what her character was like.

2. The picture of the girl in the circle is actually not Rin. However, most people go with that one, her colors would be blonde hair, red bow, red blouse, and pink or white shirt. (Rin is most likely lost to time FOREVAH)

3. In the games data, there are two attack types: Flower Sign and Wind Sign. These may have been her attacks.

4. Shown in the data files by using a tool to rip graphics from the game, there is an unnused character in the Stage 1 enemy sprites that looks much like the character in the portrait, although there's a possibility that this was originally going to be Rumia. RIN YOU CANT HIDE FOREVER

5. Rin is theorized to be a nurse, but this is pure speculation.

6. From the picture, she is shown holding a musical instrument. It could be that she is actually a Tsukumogami (artifact spirit).

7. Most fans had Rin fit with a negative personality and always being a nobody and/or an unknown person.

8. In other works, she is seen alongside Reimu and Marisa as their friend. Some other works feature Rin as an insane person, frequently hitting herself and crying.

9. This image could possibly Rin, but it's most likely a scrapped Reimu design:

10. It is most likely that he gave Rin's profile to another character, making her obsolete.
