I sensed a soft blanket land on me as I was cuddled into my side on the floor and I glanced up and made eye contact with Karl as he softly grinned at me. He laid it on me and tried his best not to touch or make contact with me. I smiled to myself taking mental note of how caring and sweet he really is.

I heard him lay beside me but far as to make me comfortable and he let out a big sigh.

"Man, what a day am I right?" I chuckled at his question and said, "You can say that again."

"Man, what a da-" I cut him off laughing loudly and covering my mouth. It was blunt but funny. I rotated around and faced him and my eyes widen a little noticing he was staring at me already.

"What you thinking about ol' Karl?" I pouted softly and giggled to myself. His eyes never left mine and his face became more delicate and calmly answered, "You're really pretty."

I mocked him and turned back around the other way and let out a sigh of a chuckle. I slowly looked down at my hands which were softly clutching the blanket to myself. That was a joke, right?

"Okay! Karl and Jenni! You guys win the money, now hurry up and leave the room you losers." I twisted around, softly got up, quickly folded the blanket, and placed it on the couch near me. I followed Karl outside of the room and calmly stood beside him as I heard Jimmy and the other people shout about losing.

Supposedly, they hadn't used the bathroom prior to the challenge so being inside a room for 10 hours with no pee break really damaged their chances. I was smart and just held in my pee and pretended like I wasn't near to exploding on the spot.

"You okay Jenni?" I heard a soft voice speak to me and I made eye contact with Karl, I nodded my head.

I looked down at my hands as I started slowly panicking mentally about the choices I would have to make when I get home. I need to leave home but that also brings a dreadful feeling I didn't enjoy.

"Alright Karl, thank you for the opportunity! Without you, I wouldn't have won the money and gotten the courage to continue moving forward!" I softly exclaimed to Karl as we walked outside near our own cars. I saw him smile at me fondly and giggled quietly.

"You sound like a kid who just got chocolate pudding as their birthday dessert." He had one of his hands covering his mouth and he continued to giggle. I followed along with him. He was so enchanting.

The video was finished being filmed and we had already finished all of the remaining challenges so it was time to head home. I moaned tiredly, even showing up as a featured guest they made you work. 

I pulled out my phone and mindlessly scrolled on TikTok and laughed at a few, I didn't notice the small presence that appeared behind me. I stood near the exit door as I felt two hands grip my shoulders. 

I yelped loudly and rushed away quickly and turned around, my eyes met Karl's as his face got red from holding in his laugh. "Really Karl?!" I shouted at him. 

He shrugged his shoulders as he opened the exit door for me and we headed near the cars. I unlocked my door and before I could open my door, someone cleared their throat. 

Karl stood near me as he looked around nervously. I stopped in my tracks and just looked at him puzzled. "Yeah?" I asked him as he seemed to get even more nervous as the seconds passed. He glanced at the ground before speaking up.

"I know you don't like physical contact but can we hug? Even for just a second, please?" He asked as he shyly smiled at me. I felt a small pang of hurt as I knew that I would reject his request. I hesitantly shook my head no.

"I'm sorry Karl, maybe another time, yeah?" I implied as to not wholeheartedly reject him but suggest just not at this time. 

His smile didn't falter as he nodded and bid me goodnight before heading to his own car. I smiled and waved at him as we departed. I entered my car and sat there just staring at my car wheel. Tears ran down my eyes as my voice began silently sobbing. I hiccuped a few times before clearing my face harshly. 

I put my car to drive and already made plans to stay at a hotel for a bit for the ride back home. I couldn't handle driving all the way in this state. I checked out at a nearby hotel and went to my room. I made sure it was safe before brushing my teeth and knocking on my bed. I forgot to change out of my clothes but I couldn't care less, I felt like such a loser.

I woke up and groggily went to my car and headed back home, it was gonna take a while but it was alright. I wish I had hugged Karl back there, now I'm heading home with no hug and a bunch of regrets about the decisions I've made. I played a few sad songs in the car and made it home. 

As I got closer to my house I received a phone call.

I accepted the call and I heard was yelling from him before I screeched loudly as to be alarmed by the loud noises. I heard loud laughing from his side before I yelled at him in Spanish. 

"HUH! What did you say dumb dumb?" He yelled at me through the phone and i giggled.

"Dije que te vallas a la verga pendejo." I replied to him in a quiet but serious tone. 

I heard even more loud laughter as he did his squeaky laugh and sighed loudly. I heard him rumbling through his things in his room and I made a small question, "Why did you call me by the way?" 

"Oh. I just wanted to hear you talk, I'm cleaning up a bit after I just had a messy stream in my room. Is that okay?" I chuckled and agreed. We both stayed on the phone for a few hours before he left to do something else I had already unpacked my small bag and was laying down on my bed staring at the ceiling.

I lay there for an hour after Alex had left, I felt even dumber and I quickly snatched my phone in my view to see an incoming call coming from Karl.

"Hey poop face!" I called after him as his face came into view and his face already looked red as he looked like he was trying not to laugh. He claimed that both Quackity and he were gonna do a Roblox stream on his alt account on Twitch and they invited me to play with them. I agreed nonetheless. I still felt horrible after the Karl thing.

I saw Karl as my best friend but the feelings that grew with him grew even more with each passing day.
