Chapter 5: White

Flickering numerous times to adjust the contrasting color that seems to momentarily blind her eyes, Alice lurches awake from her unconscious state─feeling bits of a tingling sensation on her skin.

"Where am I?" Alice, breath out her bewilderment. Her eyes dart around, scanning her surroundings. Finding nothing other than white.

As she tries to dig her memory, the last thing she remembers is her conversation with the System.

Trying to calmly take the situation, Alice tightly hugs her rationality. Gripping tight to her clothes till she feels pain. Who knew when her thin line of rationality will crumble. Considering she still didn't know where the f*ck she is. Slowly try to stand up from the white ground. Checking if her clothes that she wears to sleep is still intact to her. There's no scar, blood, or anything much to her relief.

Alice grits in pain as she tries to move her unknowingly sore legs that ready to be jelly any second now. After struggling a while, she already drenches with her own sweat. She swore she'll have that stupid System a lesson!

Catching her breaths while steadying her wobbly legs, Alice's eyes wander off far away. Regaining her strength, Alice starts to venture from her original spot.

Seemingly hours already passed.

Her legs are on the brink of exhaustion. Still don't know she's at, and worst of all, she didn't see anything besides white at all! Which seems to mess up her head. Her hope to find a living person shatter to dust, forgot about living things, Ah! She can't even find a single piece of object.

Cannot contain her exhaustion anymore, Alice let her body fall onto the ground. Following a 'thud' sound coming from where she landing. It didn't hurt at all─or, so she thought, "ouch. . ." Well, at least she still feels pain instead of being numb. Alice tries to reconcile herself.

She brings her right arm to cover her eyes, blocking her vision from the bare white space. After a couple of blinks, the scenery immediately changing. Which knocks Alice up by surprise. Her dream becoming blurry, and once again, she fell into a dark abyss.

Her long lashes flutter gently, slowly blinking her mesmerizing crystal green eyes─enchanting anyone who sees it. As if she's on autopilot, her body seeks warmth; as her hand reaches out to cover her entire self with a blanket. And her head adjusts itself to find a better pillow position to sleep. Satisfied with the result, Alice starts drifting to her dreamland before realizing something.

Her body suddenly went to a sitting position. Dismissing her disarray bed hair or her saliva that went down from the corner of her mouth. Her eyes shine brightly as if her idol from BLACKPINK just came. She's not in that white space anymore! Feeling like a star that shines brightly in the dark night, Alice hugs her pillow into mush and hum happily.

Snapping her train of happiness, a sudden sound bursting onto her eardrums. [Welcome back, Host!] A cheering sound pops out of nowhere. Noticing that sound, Alice's head automatically raises up from her comfy pillow. Still angered because of that white space, Alice chose to ignore her System.

Feeling wrong about it, the System desperately pleads to Alice. [Host, please don't be mad, Ah! This System is wrong!] Being such a thick-headed person, Alice more likely to ignore more of her pitiful System plead.

[Host, please don't be mad, System is just showing you the [System Dimension], don't hate me please (ू˃̣̣̣̣̣̣︿˂̣̣̣̣̣̣ ू)]

The corner of her mouth twitches a little. Feeling a bit satisfied with the pleas, she finally gave in. "Explain then."

Brimming with happiness, the System quickly demonstrates. [[System Dimension] is a space that's created by Kamisama for Host! For the purpose of training Host Quirk o(≧▽≦)o.]

Alice nods in understanding, then let the System explain more about it. [Another bonus featured that recently being upgraded by this magnificent System of yours ⊂(▀¯▀⊂) is that Time literary stops in that space!]

Wanting to stop her system explanation for much to her displeasure, the System continually kept rambling. [Look at this Host! The System just got another bonus while upgrading the system code! ᕙ( ~ . ~ )ᕗ isn't this cool?! The System can insert an emoji (ﾉ◕ヮ◕)ﾉ*:･ﾟ.✧]

Silently sighing in the back of her mind, Alice forcefully kept listening to her System rambling.

[While upgrading some code, Kamisama also gives Host a [System Shop], where if Host collects enough amount of [points] from the mission that System gave Host. Host could buy anything Host want from the shop! From skill to potion is here. So please work hard, Host! (✿ ◕ᗜ◕)━♫.*･｡ﾟ]

"What about the mission?" Alice speaks her voice out. The System thinks for a moment before answering—[Answering Host question, [Points] earn from the mission given by me. There are 2 types of tasks. First, the main missions. Where if Host succeeds, Host will get a generously large amount of [points]. Whereas if the Host fails to complete one of the main missions, the Host [Points] will be deducted. If the primary mission is more severe, the penalty can be death. The second type is the side mission, where if the Host fails to finish it, host [points] will not get deducted. If Host succeeds, then Host will get a [Points].]

Alice scrunches her eyebrows, making a little line of a wrinkle in her forehead. Thinking deeply about what the System says. Alice can only agree helplessly with that. Resting her fate by her so-called System. Given a second chance at life, she must treasure it.

Alice then silently thinking about her System before realizing something, does the System have a name besides System? It would be a pain in the ass if she had to call System every time. Besides that, she didn't like the word for one bit. It's too bland for her taste.

Alice walks towards the leather chair and sits down while taking some cookies to her hand. "Hey, system, can I change your name? Considering I'm bound to you now. It's a pain in the ass if I have to call you System all the time," Alice asked while thinking of a name that suits her System.

The System was taken back a bit, not expecting its Host to ask these topics, but the System complies.

[Sure, Host.] in which Alice smile more deepen than before. She didn't look mortifying. She looks like someone that comes out from a fairytale princess.

Alice takes a small number of cookies that place in front of her and bite at those cookies. Bringing the taste in those cookies, she ate more cookies.

"What month were you created by kamisama?" Alice throws her question to her System. In which the System replies, [August Host!]

Alice then takes a mother bite at the cookies, "Then, ...I'll call you Leo."

At that exact moment, a blinding light covers the entire room. Alice hurriedly covers her eyes while keeping her cookies safe and sound. After a while, the light dims a bit. And an audible 'groan' resonates through the room. Catching her attention away from the very delicious cookies.

What greets her back is seemingly a cute Lion? "Pfft, you turn into a.....doll?" Alice holds her laughter while tilting her head to the side to review her new form system at a better angle.

Looking at her now, the new shape of her System Leo, which is very unexpected and admittedly cute. Then the doll or Leo spoke, [I change my body, Host! Now that I have a name that was given by my beloved Host! I transform myself into something cute and practical! No worries, though. The only Host can see my cute self, so don't be jealous of other people! c(ˊᗜˋ*c)]

In which Alice felt her hand itch to smack the sense of this goddamn doll to do a reality check. She then softens her gaze and looks clearly at Leo. Satisfied, Alice's gaze shifts towards her bedroom clock.

Indicating she got a couple of hours before 6 am. Alice takes a deep breath and flows her words out. "Leo, send me to [System Dimension]." first step in her new world that is to understand her current situation. Alice first must get a grip on her new Quirk too.

The cute Lion doll nod and clap it's doll paws twice. After that, the girl and doll figure vanish like that. Leaving behind leftover cookies and a messy bed.
