" She thinks I don't care about her but, she's actually the only one in my heart."

-Jeremy Lockhart
=============
SKYLAR⚓️

The drive back to Kai's place was the first time in my life in which I forgotten how to breathe. In the past, I would have done a reality check but right now...I can't even keep up with what's happening.

I wanted to grow old and look back at those times saying 'darn, I miss those days of love, youth and joy ' but now, I don't even think I can grow old.

One by one, people I love just vanish into thin air. And the worst part is that you're not sure who's next or whether this day would be the last day you see the blue sky.

Sitting at the dinning table between Kai and Mateo who can't seem to get along together, it was the least of my worries.

"Why can't I know what Skylar and Jeremy found out?" Mateo argued.

"Cause they don't need meddling kids in their business, and plus you wouldn't even be much help in finding your brother." Kai snorted, before I nudged him roughly.

"You know what, I'm out." I finally announced like what Jeremy did almost 2 hours ago.

"See what you did! You made my girlfriend upset!" That was the last comment I heard, before I slammed the room door shut.

I thought I would find Jeremy in the room, but he wasn't there which surprised me. Ignoring that thought, I sat at the balcony, taking in the dark sky and cool breeze.

I picked up the pen which laid carelessly on the table and began scribbling the word 'vannah' on my wrist, hoping to find some meaning in it.

The quiet turn of the door knob, caused me to tense up, realizing someone just entered the room.

"Hey Skylar, what'd you doing?" Mateo skipped to my side with a goofy smile painted across his cheeks.

Sighing, I gave up and decided to just show him my wrist. I knew that either way, it wouldn't make a difference if he knew about the clue or not.

"Why are you writing her name on your wrist? She's the meanest, most crue–"  I interrupted his rant.

"WHAT?! You know what vannah means?"

"You mean, you know who vannah is?" He corrected as he sat on the bean bag. Gulping, I gave him a puzzled look.

"You don't actually know, do you?" He concluded, before Jeremy barged in with a huge.

"Skylar Torres, I know you hate me immensely for all that I have put you through, but I've finally grown a pair to ask yo– am I interrupting something?" he paused when he noticed Mateo. Though I really wanted to know what news brought that much of a smile to his face, I needed to attend to the current situation first.

"Nope, perfect time actually, Mateo... knows something about vannah..."

"You're making it sound as if vannah is a person!" Jeremy chuckled as he sat down beside me.

"But she is!" Mateo threw his hands in the air as he rolled his eyes, his words caused Jeremy to narrow his eyes at Mateo in confusion. Taking a deep breath, he began...

"Vannah was short for Savannah, she was Dante's first girlfriend, he gave her that nickname. She wasn't the nicest person towards me, but Dante was head over heels in love with her. However...after a party one and a half years ago, she just left and moved away without a word. Dante...he didn't take it quite well and he hates to admit it, but I feel he's still obsessed with her. She looks like Skylar, just much more fairer and meaner. " he gave me a grin, oblivious to how much this information is worth to us.

"Wait you mean, the Savannah Nieman?! The one who went to our school? " Jeremy leaned forward.

"Exactly her, their relationship was meant to be a secret." He casted a betrayed look, Dante must have told him to keep it a secret.

"Do you know where she lives?" I queried, hoping he knew.

"That I can't help you guys with, I don't stalk girls who aren't my type." He winked at me mischievously which led to a blush on my face and a glare from Jeremy.

"I'll get going, it's my curfew. Goodnight!" He yawned before trudging out of the room.

My eyes found it's way back to Jeremy's eyes which seemed darker under the stars.

"If we find Savannah, she might be able to help us." I suggested which he acknowledged with a nod.

"We'll have to do some research first, we can begin tomorrow." He trailed, something in the pit of my stomach itched me to question what news he wanted to inform me about.

"What did you wanna tell me before Mateo interrupted?" He looked away sheepishly.

"Oh that's nothing, really." He laughed nervously.

"Don't do this Jeremy, don't ever leave me hanging." I felt there was a much more deeper meaning in my words as I spoke sternly.

Licking his chapped lips, he cracked his knuckles with a small smile.

"I want to bring you somewhere. Now." He pulled me off the chair, and placed my arms around his neck.

"Bring you to a place which means a lot...to both of us."
