After that extremely awkward moment in Ryder's room well at least it was awkward for me but Ryder seemed to be anything but awkward he was full on amused. Glad to now my awkwardness amuses him.

Anyways after the scene in his bedroom not shortly after Mrs Smith called us down for dinner.

Mr smith was at the head of the table with Mrs smith next to him and Christian was on his other side and my mum was next to Margret
While lucky me was stuck next to Ryder.

"The food is lovely " my mum complimented Margret on her cooking.

"Thank you, but personally I have Joseph to thank for that I'm not exactly the best of cooks" she replied to which Ryder snorted.

"Mum the last time you cooked you almost burnt the house it's fair to say dads the chef of the house " Ryder said I had the sudden urge to laugh at that but covered it up with a extremely weird sounding cough.

"So how are you with the whole new school Ella " Margret asked me.

"It's good I guess I'm coping " I said with a warm smile.

"Do you miss your old town ?" Joseph asked.

"Truthfully no, there wasn't anything left for me there anyways " I said but couldn't help but notice my mother staring intensity at me.

"How about you Ryder how are you with school " my mother asked him.

"I'm doing good Ms Green " it's weird seeing Ryder so kind truthfully.

"Oh please call me Rose, Miss Smith makes me feel old " she said with a small laugh.

So that's how the dinner went with some small chatter Christian was oddly quiet although sometime during the dinner Ryder put his hand on my knee. I kept swatting his hand away but he kept re-putting it when I noticed there was no use I just gave up.

"Ryder why don't you take Ella upstairs and get to know each other after all you guys are attending the same high school " my mother said.

"Yeah that's a great idea don't you think " Margret asked no one in particular.

"Okay come on Ella " Ryder said from across his shoulder on his way upstairs.

I followed him upstairs when I got to his room I immediately made myself comfortable on his bed sitting Indian style.

"Yeah sure make yourself at home " he muttered as he made his way to sit on his desk chair.

"Umm so lets play 20 questions or something " I suggested out of boredom.

"Sure you begin " he replied.

"Favourite colour?" Lame I know  don't judge I just met the guy for gods sake.

"Seriously Green I expected more from you " he teased but replied nonetheless " black "

"Typical " I said with a roll of my eyes.

"Are you a virgin " he asked as if he's asking my age.

"Well you sure done beat around and blush and yup " he seemed shocked by my answer ...

"Didn't expect that " he muttered.

"Are you trying to say I seem like a slut or something ?" I asked slightly offended.

"What NO it's just your just that you're  like beautiful that I assumed .." He said with a faint blush I couldn't help but laugh.

"Anyways .. My turn so what's your middle name?" I asked he almost immediately looked away and a blush was rising up his cheeks.

"I'd rather not answer that " he replied quietly.

"Come on tell me! It can't be that bad"

He then said something fast under his breath.

"What was that I didn't quite catch that " I said with a smirk on my face.

"Maria " he muttered obviously shy that his middle name was a girls name.

I couldn't help but laugh at that THE BIG BAD bad boys middle name was Maria very intimidating.

"Hey it's not my problem my mother was expecting a daughter " he muttered.

So that was how the rest of the game went on asking each other stupid questions and just generally getting to now each other.

"So where's your dad?" He asked innocently but I immediately stiffened I guess he must have noticed my uneasiness with this topic he immediately dropped it.

"That's a story for another time my friend " I told him vaguely.

"Ella come on we're going home " my mother shouted from downstairs.

I was about to leave but as I reached the door way of his room I turned around to find Ryder already staring at me.

"You know Ryder you're not all that bad I actually enjoyed your company " I said with a small smile. His face seemed to immediately lighten up.

"You too Ella you too " he said and gave me a quick peck on my cheek then left his room and headed downstairs.

I stayed standing in my place in pure shock until I quickly shook my head and went downstairs to say our goodbyes but I just couldn't help but have a grin plastered on my face.
