☆☆Tiny Trip (Part 3): "Not So Tiny Clapback"☆☆

To say that Jungkook was over the moon might still be an understatement.

People who would see him right now might even think that he took a whole tub of sugar because of how energetic he seemed that early in the morning. With that silly and almost idiotic wide smile on his face, Joker would be ashamed.

"Uhh. . ." Taehyung started but could barely point what he wanted to say the moment he stepped in the kitchen and saw Jungkook gliding all around as if he's dancing. He could hear some sizzle from the pan on the stove as Jungkook glides his feet on the floor once again and hummed as he stirred something on that bowl in the counter with an egg beater.

Don't get him wrong, he's not confused about Jungkook acting like a love-struck high-school boy again because that one's normal to see. What bothers him was the fact that Jungkook was cooking. Damn, just thinking about it makes him shiver in fear.

But was it even normal to hear some sizzle from hot cooking oil in the pan when Jungkook isn't even really frying because he's actually just making pancakes? Just how much oil did Jungkook put in that pan?

And to add to all of that--

Seokjin coughed as he fanned his hand in the air, busy exhaling the air out of his system that welcomed him when he stood beside Taehyung.

"What the hell is going on here?" He asked still coughing. Jungkook turned around and stared at the two with that animated smile of his whilst holding that egg beater with splatters of some unknown substance in it. Gross. Does pancake mixtures always look that gooey?

"Oh, hyungs! You both woke up early. I was making pancakes." Jungkook said as bright as the morning sun.

Taehyung started whispering something that Jin couldn't properly hear since he was busy scowling at Jungkook with his arms folded on his chest.

"You were making what?" Jin asked with his eyebrows furrowed, still smelling that foul smell but he couldn't comprehend where was it coming from.

"Um, h-hyung. . ." Taehyung started again but Jin raised his hand to stop his younger brother, wanting to deal with Jungkook first.

"Pancakes! I've seen this recipe on youtube and it received many likes so I thought of making it." Jungkook beamed as he explained and Jin laughed as if offended.

"Was it supposed to smell this shitty?" He asked, feeling Taehyung tugging on his sleeves but he shrugged his younger brother's call since he's still not finished with Jungkook. But when Taehyung didn't stop he faced his brother in a whim and glared, annoyed that Taehyung keeps on interrupting him.

"What do you want Tae?!" He snapped at his younger brother who remained to stare on something behind Jungkook. Taehyung mumbled something but he failed to grasp what he was saying. "Taehyung could your attention-seeking ass wait for a second?! Can't you see that I'm having a conversation here with Jungkook?"

"F-Fire. . ." Taehyung told with his voice shaky making Jin frown even more because he doesn't get it. Even Jungkook was also now staring at Taehyung.

"What are you even--"

"YOUR PAN IS ON FIRE, JUNGKOOK!!!" Taehyung finally screamed and that was when Jungkook and Jin whipped their heads on the stove and saw that it was really on fire, like fucking literally on flames, heavy smoke starting to engulf the area.

"What the fuck," Jin cursed under his breath with their eyes wide as saucers.

And that's how their morning went. Pretty bad for a start but let's just hope that they would make it out alive from the kitchen.

Thankfully, Jungkook acted fast and managed to stop the fire on time, turned off the stove and discarded the pan he used with his floating burnt mixture of whatever it is that was supposed to be a pancake.

Jin was infuriated but he seemed to get why Jungkook was starting that fuss so early in the morning. So he fought all of his want to kick Jungkook out of the kitchen and not make the younger step there again as he asked Jungkook to step aside and be his assistant instead.

They redid the pancake mixture but this time, Jin was the only one making it. He just let Jungkook put the right amount of mixture on the pan and flip it, keeping a keen eye on Jungkook's task if ever the younger set the whole damn kitchen on fire this time.

The others woke up at around 7:30, just the right time to finish with the pancakes. They settled on the outdoor table once again, wearing their pajamas and still looking sleepy. They all looked tired especially Hoseok, Taehyung, and Junhoe who were still having a terrible hangover after last night.

Jin already knew that this would happen so rather than sympathize with them he kept rubbing on how they brought that to themselves instead. Even though Jin said that though, he still brought them hangover medicines each and a glass of water. He even prepared a fast hangover soup so their headaches would subside even for a little.

Taehyung hugged his older brother on the waist after, not minding the frown on Jin's face as he did, mouthing in his hoarse voice an 'I knew you wouldn't be able to resist me, hyungie~'. And maybe he was right but Jin wouldn't give him that satisfaction.

Gong Yoo was reading his morning newspaper, drinking the coffee that Jin made for him as his eyes fell on Hoseok who started looking more like a zombie. He observed the daycare teacher as he shook his head, thinking how kids these days don't really know how to handle their alcohol intake.

Without thinking too much about it, he put the spoon on one of the hangover soup bowls that remained untouched and pushed it on Hoseok's side of the table. Hoseok looked up whilst still massaging his temple and groaning. His eyes widened when he realized that it was Gong Yoo who offered him the soup, his heart plummeting on his ribcage suddenly.

"Eat," Gong Yoo told him with a slight nod of his head to point out to the soup and Hoseok gulped when the old man smiled before the latter went back to reading his newspaper as if nothing happened.

It might not mean anything to Gong Yoo since he only thought of it as taking care of his sons' friend but to Hoseok it meant everything. And he was contented with just that (Okay maybe not really but it could do for now). So with a smile on his lips, his headache was forgotten as he scooped a spoonful of the soup to eat it.

Dong Wook, Yoongi's father saw the exchange and snorted at Gong Yoo's action. He shook his head and minded his own business even though he mumbled a silent 'This guy doesn't even know that he's already committing a crime for making this kid hopeful, tsk, tsk. Such a bad guy.'

When they were complete on the table, Minwoo cheered happily the moment he sae the stacks of pancakes in the middle of the table. Jungkook put a pancake on the kid's plate and whipped a tower of whipped cream on it like how Minwoo likes it.

Minwoo cheered with his fork and almost stabbed Junhoe with it who was seated beside him with that ghostly face from a hangover. Thank god Junhoe managed to use his reflex to avoid it with a thumping heart because his arm almost got stabbed with a fork. Jungkook wouldn't mind if it actually happened though. He might've even been disappointed that it didn't happen. But oh well, he could just try again if Minwoo wants another pancake.

"Here," Jungkook puts a pancake on Jimin's plate and smiled when he met with Jimin's confused stare on him. "I helped Jin-hyung make the pancakes and that one's the biggest. I, um. . . I made that for you." Jungkook suddenly felt embarrassed so he scratched the back of his neck, a habit he does whenever he's nervous.

Jimin stared at Jungkook, remembering that he did the same thing that one morning when Jungkook fell asleep in their apartment. A smile crawled on his lips at the memory, staring right back up at Jungkook.

"Thank you, I'll enjoy it." He replied and Jungkook looked surprised as if he's not expecting to receive a reply.

Jungkook only replied with a nod, still blinking his eyes when he realized that Jimin was talking to him again. He felt even more nervous but was relieved that it wasn't that awkward with them anymore.

He suddenly remembered what happened the night before. When they hugged for a while on that beach with the ocean waves being the only sound that surrounded them before they walked back together in the villa house, exchanging good nights with each other after he escorted Jimin to his shared room with Hoseok and Minwoo. It wasn't much but at least he's making a little progress in bringing their friendship right back on track. He felt himself turning warm so he tried to hide his fluttering feelings with a smile that he returned to Jimin.

They remained their eyes on each other with smiles on their faces when they got interrupted with the sound of the doorbell. Namjoon said that he will go and get it so he marched to the front door and came back with a familiar face walking beside him.

"I hope I'm not intruding?" Jennie asked with her cute smile as she holds a tray that was covered in a cling wrap on her hands. "I baked cookies and thought why not share it with you guys." She looked like she was still reading the atmosphere but when Taehyung and Junhoe cheered for the sound of cookies, she giggled and they invited her to join their breakfast, already began feasting with her baked goods.

She sat on Jungkook's right with her bright smile as always, tucking her hair behind her ears and nudging Jungkook with her elbow playfully.

"Hey, handsome." She says with her sweet voice and Jimin who happened to hear it too since he's only sitting in front of Jungkook suddenly tensed, not knowing why he suddenly felt uncomfortable with what she said. Jungkook looked surprised just the same.

"Oh, um, hi," Jungkook replied with an embarrassed curve on his lips that Jimin wasn't having fun to look at so he stared on his plate instead and played with the pancake with his fork.

"Why did you leave so early last night? We were just having fun, you know. . . Where did you go though?" She pouts and looked sternly at Jungkook who blinked his eyes profusely, his eyes catching Jimin's ones in front of him and they seemed to both have the same idea of where he went last night.

"I was kinda tired so. . . I just went back," Jungkook answered plainly, hoping that Jennie would drop it because he doesn't really want the others to know that he hugged Jimin desperately last night because he failed to control his feelings for the latter.

She just made an 'Oh' expression in understanding before her eyes landed on Minwoo who was sitting beside Jimin and having a beard made of whipped cream. The kid got shy when she called him adorable, the kid clinging immediately on his Appa's waist to hide himself because he's still not good with strangers. Jungkook assured him that it was okay and that Jennie is a friend so Minwoo got back in eating after telling her a silent thank you for calling him adorable.

They shared a few conversations after that, taking turns in asking Jennie a few questions which she didn't mind answering. They found out that Jennie's mother was a fashion designer in Paris and that sometimes she goes there to model for her mother's own brand. They were awed at how great she is too in speaking French, although she said that it wasn't really a big deal since she lived in Paris with her mom in her younger years.

Currently, she was also pursuing something that has to do with her mom's work, wanting to follow her mother's footsteps. She also shared about her hobbies after Taehyung asked out of curiosity, said that she enjoys horseback riding, taking pictures, modeling, and also traveling. They were all impressed at how she dressed too, Jin and Hoseok making a comment about her great fashion sense.

Jimin was listening to everything although he can't really join in the conversation because he didn't know what to say exactly. But as he hears more about her, he realized that Jennie was far too different from his way of living and himself in general. He could also see how Jungkook would smile a little sometimes as if he's amused at the new information he was hearing. Jungkook also commenting on how good the cookies she baked tastes and he didn't fail to see how Jennie's eyes twinkled at the compliment.

Jimin stared down at what he's wearing, a simple white shirt with a random print and his now pastel sky-blue colored shorts that was originally blue but turned that way because it was old. Then he observed the girl in front of her, looking as chic and elegant as ever as she giggled with something the others were saying.

She was sporting a white Chanel long-sleeved top and a stylish ripped jeans that fits her perfectly. Jimin then realized that whilst she's wearing those branded types of clothing that she must've have chosen randomly on her dresser full of the same ones, he was there looking as cheap as the clothes he bought on those economic boutiques.

After they finished their breakfast, they followed another of Namjoon's plans for another great day at their stay. They head off early at the beach, changing into their beachwear immediately and decided that lunch could wait after they had fun.

Yoongi and Jin were the ones in charge of cooking so they decided to skip their beach time and head to the market instead as the rest of them do whatever they wanted.

"Would you mind if I join you?" Jimin stares at his right and saw Jennie smiling at him. He didn't expect her to talk to him so he was a little lost. When he recovered his senses, he nodded and Jennie sat on the rattan beach chair on his left.

He felt uneasy and self-conscious around her presence, him thinking that she shouldn't even bother spending time talking to someone like him.

"You're Jimin, right?" She asked suddenly so he stared back at her with his blinking eyelashes, not knowing how come she knew his name. He only nodded in reply.

Jennie giggled at Jimin's expression before she looks ahead on the beach, her smile growing wider when she sees Jungkook on his sleeveless shirt playing with the kid she found absolutely adorable.

"Jungkook talks a lot about you. He said that you're great at this and that. . . I can't even remember anything with the number of things he told me about you." Jimin was surprised to hear such a thing, not expecting that Jungkook would talk about him to Jennie. Because really, he's not that important that Jungkook could just waste a second having a conversation with a pretty girl like Jennie.

Jennie smiled at him and he felt like she was waiting for his reply so he gulped and fiddled with his fingers, his eyes casting low on his lap. "I d-didn't know that he would do that," was the only words he managed to utter, not really sure what he should say.

"Really?" He didn't know what she meant by that. But her change of tone was obvious and he wasn't sure if he heard a soft scoff from her too.

When he glanced back at her though, she was already staring somewhere else. Following her line of vision, he saw Jungkook who was building another sandcastle with his son as the two were laughing, seemed to be making fun of Taehyung whose sandcastle must've fallen.

"It's great that you already have a son though," her previous sweet tone came back and they met each other's eyes half-way. "At least I won't be threatened if ever he likes you or something."

Jimin suddenly tensed under her gaze.

What did she even mean by that?

Jennie saw the shift in Jimin's expression so she smiled once again and giggled, patting Jimin's arm playfully. "Don't look that serious, Jimin. I was just joking!" She laughed and her expression came back to her previous sweet and nice demeanor.

Jimin chuckled hesitantly and if he felt an unpleasant feeling settling inside him he didn't let it show.

But even though she already said that she was just joking, Jimin wasn't sure whether to believe that or not.

What he was only sure though, was the fact that what she said doesn't settle right on his gut.

--------------------------------------------------

It was around 8 PM when they finished their dinner, Jennie still with them since Junhoe invited her. They didn't seem to mind having her company since they also enjoy having conversations with her.

Seokjin suggested for a game night, said that he saw it in some movie he liked and that they should have fun doing that too. But minus the killing parts, of course, he reminded.

After Hoseok prepared the popcorn for them to eat as Taehyung grabbed some chips, sodas, and other sweet snacks to place on the table so they wouldn't need to get up at all once they were all playing games, Yoongi brought down the Uno cards and they all cheered loving the idea of the game.

After Jimin tucked Minwoo to sleep as Gong Yoo and Dong Wook were already dead asleep because of their old age, they started a battle with their Uno cards.

The living room was filled with cheers from those ones placing plus cards, groans from the losers, and a set of waves of laughter from those watching the one getting tortured with too many cards. Let's just say that Taehyung and Jungkook turned out to be horrible at playing the game since their hands were both flooded with multiple cards with really bad combinations.

In the end, Jungkook lost to Taehyung who began dancing some random Samba dance that annoyed Jungkook even more. Jungkook looked like he just realized that his whole life was just a joke and maybe it really is but it worsened because of the others' teasing.

Junhoe also commenting that Jungkook was such a killjoy when the latter refused to play another round of Uno since he just drank a glass of lemon for his punishment. There wasn't even water added on it so imagine how horrendous that must've tasted like.

When they got tired playing with their card games, Taehyung suggested a game of truth or dare. Jungkook scoffed obviously, saying that Taehyung lacks originality but Taehyung protested that nothing really beats classics. In the end, they all agreed since they have nothing else to think of anyway.

And that's how an empty bottle of soda ended up in the middle of the grayish carpet where they were circling from.

The first turn landed on Namjoon and Hoseok, the latter being the one to question the taller. Hoseok smirked, already having an idea of what he should ask. He passed a grin to Jimin and they both silently snorted, already reading each other's minds.

"So," Hoseok started after clearing his throat and sending a knowing smile to Namjoon. "Truth or dare, Namjoon-ssi." He finally asked, looking smug especially when Namjoon looked so lax as if nothing could hurt him whatever he chose between the two, clearly unaware that whatever he chooses, it will probably embarrass the shit out of him.

"I'd say dare," Namjoon told casually with a shrug of his shoulders and everyone uttered sets of 'Oohs' for his bravery.

Hoseok, totally pleased with Namjoon's answer, now stared at Jin whose eyes widened because he felt like Hoseok's grin had something to do with him. Which he wasn't wrong to think about because
