"Katsuki.. say Hi! Don't just stand there!" my mother directed me while Izuku's mother whispered into her son's ear, "come on, sweetie. Say Hi!"

Both of our parents were trying really hard to get us together, it seemed.. I could tell. Luckily for them, I was more than ecstatic to see him.

I smiled brightly at Deku making him jump in surprise from behide his mother's leg.

"Hi Deku," I greeted him.

Never in a million years did I think I would be saying that again.

"H-hi!" He greeted me nervously.

"Katsuki was really excited to see you today, Izuku " my mom told him sweetly.

"H-he was..?" Deku scampered shyly.

My mom nodded while I turned red with embarrassment.
"Don't tell him that!" I yelled at her and rushed forward to him.

I grabbed Deku's arm and pulled him with me, away from the parents. Both of our mothers giggled behind us. Deku smiled brightly but he was definitely confused at my sudden action.

I laughed at his face while dragging him easily to the living room where we bounced onto the couch. We were both smiling and laughing like little children at the littlest of things. I never thought I would ever feel this feeling again.

Happiness.

When our knees got tired from jumping around, we both flopped down onto the couch which bounced us up into the air until gravity took affect.

We laughed together till Deku sat up abruptly like he had just realized something. I sighed happily. "Kacchan.. are you feeling okay?" He asked me nervously.

"Of course I am." I sat up and looked directly at him. I still couldn't believe that he was sitting next to me so I took in every moment to stare at his face for just a moment longer. "Why do you ask?"

"You just seem.. happier." Deku giggled. "I like it."

A wide smile grew across my face.

We stayed quiet for a moment before Aunt Inko came rushing in. "Come on boys," she called, "Let's get going to school."

Inko smiled as both of us as we climbed off the couch and rushed to the front door. I quickly ran upstairs first to change into the elementary school uniform (that brought back memories), then me and Deku both pulled on our shoes hurriedly, swung our book bags over our shoulders, and then we were already ready too leave but just waiting on our mothers.

After Aunt Inko and my mom had a very detailed discussion about the weather and neighborhood gossip, we finally left for school.

Me and Deku slipped ahead of Inko, who was walking with us. When I was 6 (not like I am now) I used to run ahead of Deku, laughing at how slow he was and wanting to get to school so I could play with my so called 'friends' before they saw me with someone who was quirkless.

Now, I'm the one trying to walk in pace with him while also racing Deku at the same time. Just because I had missed him doesn't mean I won't stop beating him at everything.

"Wait up!" He whined as I ran accidentally ahead of him.

Back when I was really 6 I would have laughed and have gotten father away just to upset him. Instead, I slowed down. He looked surprised that I actaully did.

As Deku's legs were carrying him over to me, I watched his feet stop and his legs stumble. In slow motion, it felt like, Deku fell to the ground, hands and face first, into the concreted sidewalk. Inko gasped dramatically in the background while I rushed to make sure he was okay.
I shouldn't have let him run that fast. I know Deku couldn't handle it.

Deku immediately propped himself up with his palms when, I guess, he heard me and his mother's footsteps rushing over. Inko was the first to ask if he was alright since I was to busy crouching next to Deku. "
Are you okay?" She asked her son worriedly.

Deku nodded quickly, his big head bobbling up and down on his small neck. His eyes were tearful though as he lifted his hands finally off the pavement. I saw that Deku had scratched his hands on the sidewalk when catching himself. His knees were also bleeding.
Luckily, I was used to blood.

I grabbed Deku's hand roughly but I was careful not to grab onto his bleeding scratch. He whimpered and I knew that the dwelling pain was really starting to get to him. My heart began to race nervously.

Deku shouldn't cry. He should never ever get hurt ever again.

I looked up to Aunt Inko hurriedly. She was in thought on what to do. "Go grab some bandages. Quickly!" I told her, hating how my voice sounded so squeaky and cracked while I spook.

"Ok.." she said breathlessly. "Will you boys be okay without me while I run to your mom's house..?"

"We'll be fine" I responded. I know how much Aunt Inko hates leaving us alone so I gave her a reassuring smile. She nervously smiled back then speed walked back to the house.

"You okay?" I ask, focusing on Deku who was sniffling and wiping his runny nose with his uniform's sleeves.

"Y-yeah.. just some cuts that's all." He gazed at his palms and knees likes he had never seen blood before. Well, I guess he is actually 6 years old so he's fasenstaed with pain and blood..

I'm mentally 14, almost 15, but in my 7 year-old self's body and in the past just with the same memories that I had in my past life. At least, that's what I've put together so far.

Deku tore his attention away from his scratches and looked at me with those wide green eyes of his. My heart jumped for joy making my cheeks flush pink. He quirked his head sideways in confusion.

Before I could ask why he was looking at me like that, Inko came rushing back, running this time in her black heels with bandages trialing behide her.
She squatted down next to me and began cleaning Delu's scratches then wrapping him up in bandages slowly and carefully as to not hurt her son anymore than he already was.

Although I hated it, my 7-year old knees were getting tired of squatting so I stood up but kept Deku in my point of view.

"How's Deku?"'I asked automatically when Aunt Inko stood up. She was smiling so I assumed that was a good sign.
Deku was admiring his bandages like they were something to be proud of.

"He's perfectly fine, Katsuki" she reassured me. Deku wobbled up onto his feet, now smiling widely.

Inko placed a hand on her sons round cheek drawing his attention to her eyes. "Just be careful in school today," She told him.

Deku nodded then began running ahead of us again like the trip never happened. I stayed behide to watch him from afar. Aunt Inko catched up to me before she quickly thanked me.

"What for?" I asked her, confused.

"You're being so sweet to my Izuku today and It's so nice to see how much you care for him.." she smiled down at me making my cheeks blush red with embarrassment without my full consent.

I heard her giggle at her son, or at me, before I rushed to join Deku, my stamina competing his and we were soon racing to the elementary school with Inko traveling closely behind. I was sure to keep in pace with him to make sure he wouldn't fall.

As we came closer to the school, we slowed down breathlessly. Our 7-year old energy can only take us so far. We were both panting by the time Aunt Inko came around the corner to wave us off.

"Goodbye you two" she said while wrapping both of us into a two timer bear hug. She kissed both our cheeks before releasing us making me rub my cheek in embarrassment and Deku squirm.

"I love you!" She said to us, not really identifying who she was saying it to.

"Love your to mom," Deku called back sweetly, waving, not caring that other elementary school kids were snickering at us. That, or Deku didn't notice them.

I had the urge to growl at the laughing kids as we began heading to the schools front doors, Deku leading while I trailed behind him and glared at everyone. We bursted into the air conditioned hallways.

Deku trailed behind so that we could walk side by side down the halls.
I guess he doesn't want to be alone.

We both began to speed up, threatening to start a full on race again till we were both abruptly stopped by two large kids or what I assumed were kids. They were both wearing the elementary uniform.

One was tall and skinny with tiny wings poking out the his back and horns plastered onto his too small forehead. The other was smaller with bucked teeth, round glasses, a big figure, and large hands. He was also munching on a muffin loudly.

I knew who these guys were as soon as I saw them. I then felt myself grow protective.

"Get out of our way" I demanded. Deku looked nervous at both me and the two gorilla idiots. That made me double angry. I was not like these two. Not anymore.

"Bakugou! My man!" Cheered the skinny one. He opened his arms wide towards me, like giving me a half-way hug, as he spook. "Why in the heck are you hanging out with this.." He gave a disgusted look at Deku. I could feel Deku shrink as I stood in front of him.

"None of your fucking business" I retorted. They both gasped at my use of a bad words, including Deku. "Now move it!"

"Come on, King explosion muderer.." said the smaller one, "Ditch this loser. We can pelt rocks at him later but there are some teachers in the bathroom.. we can easily lock them in-"

My anger got the best of me. My hands began to sweat so my quirk activated sending a small warning explosion out of my hand. Both the bullies jumped in response as Deku backed away from me. "Move or I'll make you" I said through gritted teeth.
A couple of kids behind us were crowding to get a look. I know how Deku doesn't like unknown crowds.

The smaller one looked at me like he couldn't believe what I was saying. The other guy puffed heavily then stepped aside. The smaller one followed the taller ones actions and moved aside as well to let he through.

"Fine. Whatever.. go hang out with that nerd" scoffed the dragon looking boy.

I sighed, retracting my quirk by wiping my sweat onto my uniform, making a small poping gun noise.

"Come on, Deku" I called to him calmly as to not wanting frighten him. "Let's get to class before the bell rings."

And so, Me and Deku pushed through the row of idiots too our classroom.

Nothing much happened after that . It was basically 1st grade all over again. For me at least.

We went over multiplication, which I aced impressing Deku. I then taught Deku how to identify a noun. We went to lunch where we ate quietly and me and Deku talked at the edge of the table. Deku babbled about his favorite pro hero's which I found very interesting.
During recess, we threw around a ball then had a competition to see who could through it higher. Went back inside, dealt with science class and Social studies before it was time to leave after an amazing day at 2nd grade spent all with Deku. What's better is, I get to do it all again tomorrow.

Me and Deku rushed down the school steps to where my dad was waiting for us calmly in his work suit. He smiled at us as we approached.

The three of us walked home together, me and Deku running ahead while kicking rocks out the way to see who could kick it farther. Dad let us into the house where we flooded into the living room.

"Your mom will be home in time
for dinner," Dad told Deku. "In the meantime, you two can go upstairs and play on your games if you want."

Deku squealed excitedly in agreement and began rushing upstairs. I followed him into my room.

Deku bounced on my bed cheerfully. He seemed happy and I knew it wasn't for the same reason that I was happy.

I didn't ask about it as I grabbed a gaming controller and bounced down next to him. "What do you want to play?" I asked him.

He thought for moment, tapping his chin in thought. "Minecraft!" He said joyfully.

And so.. for the next two hours we played Minecraft which I hadn't played in years- we went mining through a cave, fighting the night monsters (I did most of the close up fighting while Deku shoot from afar with an old bow when needed), Deku used the bathroom which I waited patiently for him.

When he came back from the bathroom, we both went back to sitting cross legged on my floor, staring intently at the gaming screen.

Deku stick his tongue out in.concentration as he played. My grib slowly loosened on the controller as I took in everything that was happening.

Deku must be so confused of how one day I could be a complete jerk and then the next just play Minecraft with him.
Why had I had to be such a compete jerk and why hadn't I apologized for it yet?

"Deku"," I said. "I'm sorry."

"For what?" He asked me, his attention still on the gaming screen.

"For.. everything. For being a jerk, and..-"

"It's fine," he shrugged. "It's not like you punched me." He gazed at me, smiling brightly.

I was so glad that I didn't begin taking my anger out on him yet.
I was such a stupid jerk face bully and I knew that more than I could say.

We then began to build our dream house after a brief discussion before my mother called us down.

Disappointly, Deku grabbed his bag and swung it over his shoulder. "Well.. bye then," he said.

I waved goodbye to him, still grabbing onto my sweaty controller.

Before Deku exited my bedroom door, he froze and turned to me.
"And.. Kacchan.." I heard him he say nervously. I sat up at the sound of my nickname like a lost dog. "I really do like this new version of you.."

He smiled at me before slipping out the bedroom door. A smile grew across my face.

I know it must be weird for Deku One day I'm a jerk and the next I'm like this.
I was determined to care, protect, and cherish every moment I spent with Deku. Nobody would hurt him while I'm around.

I curled my fists at the thought before heading downstairs for dinner, ready to be a 7-year old again for Deku.
