SIMONE P.O.V.

"Girl, why the hell are you still here?" I sighed and contined to place some jeans on a hanger. "I know damn well you didn't leave yo man and that girl alone together." I rolled my eyes. "Yes, I did." Ellis shook his head. "You dumber than you look, I swear." I ignored him and continued what I was doing.

"Not only did he not tell you he was bringing the girl home, you left them up in the house together, what kind of shit is this?" I sucked my teeth. "I have a job Ellis, what did you want me to do?" He sucked his teeth. "I don't know but, you need to be home to keep a eye on that hoe."

"Look." I started. "August and I got into a slight arguement last night and I stayed up most of the night thinking about it." Ellis motioned for me to continue. "I still feel like he should have asked me before inviting someone in our home, but I've been somewhat overreacting." He rolled his eyes. "I've been so worried about something happening between him and this girl, that I lost sight of reality."

He sighed. "August loves me, and he wouldn't betray my trust like that, I have to believe him as my husband when he says nothing is going on with him and Ryelle. I would have thought that I known better by now, but I guess I still get jealous like every other woman." He shook his head. "It's not jealousy girl, it's yo women's intution telling you to watch out for that hoe." I chuckled. "I doubt it."

 AUGUST P.O.V.

I stepped out of the booth, satisfied with the song that I was in the process of making. I sat infront of the soundboard and started to play it back, when I heard a soft knock at the door. "Come in." I turned around in my chair and smiled once I seen Ryelle walking in, wearing a tshirt that stopped right below her ass, holding a bowl of cereal. "Goodmorning." I chuckled.

"Morning, your up early." She took a seat in the chair across from me and nodded. "Yeah, Aliyah wanted to play with me so I got up, besides it was hard to sleep with all the music playing." "My bad." She shook her head. "No, it's okay, I don't mind, I actually came in here to hear it....if that's okay with you."

I leaned back in my seat and nodded. "Yeah, it straight." I turned back to the soundboard and played the track back for her. I looked up at her as she crossed her legs and started to eat her cereal. "Im liking this so far." She said over the music. I smirked and hit the stop button once what I had layed down was finished.

"That was really good." She sat her bowl beside her and leaned back into her seat. "You know what would make it better though?" I lifted my brows, waiting for her to speak. "If I featured on it." She said with a smile. "You serious?" She nodded. "Yeah, I know it's not finished yet, but I would love to work with you on it." I smirked. "Ight, yeah sure."

I ripped out a piece of notebook paper and handed her a pen. "Thanks....how long do you wanna work on it?" I shrugged. "We have most of the day, just until Simone gets back." She nodded. "Oh, I thought she was here." I shook my head no. "Nah, she's at work, but she'll be back later." She was silent.

"You good?" She cracked a small smile. "Yeah.....I just kinda over heard you two last night." I sighed. "Listen, don't worry about all that, you're good." She frowned. "You sure? If she's not comfortable with me staying here, I can leave." I shook my head.

"No stay. I invitied you here and it would be rude if I made you leave. Simone's fine." She smiled. "Alright, let's start working."

 SIMONE P.O.V.

"So is you gon go home to check on them or what?" I shook my head, while folding up some jeans. "No, Im not gunna go check up on August like he's three years old, I said I trust him and that's that, besides Aliyah is home with him since she's not allowed back to school until tommorow, Im sure they're playing or doing something together."

Ellis sucked his teeth. Oh yeah, they playin and doin something together alright." I fanned him off. "Just get back to work please."

2 HOURS LATER-AUGUST P.O.V.

I bounced Aliyah on my lap as I bopped my head to the music as I watched Ryelle lay down her verse through the glass. We had been working on this song for the past two hours, and I was suprised at how well we worked together.

"How was that?" She asked through the mic. I nodded. "It was good, but the last line was off a little." She chuckled. "I thought so,you want me to do it over?" I nodded my head yes. "Daddy Im hungry." I smirked and placed her on the ground. "What do you want to eat?" She looked up at the ceiling, thinking about what she wanted. "Pop Tarts." I chuckled. "Ight."

I leaned into the soundboard and hit the speaker button. "Ill be right back, she's hungry." Ryelle nodded and smiled. I placed both of my hands on Aliyah's shoulder's and guided her to the kitchen. "Alright, go sit at the table." I opened up the cabinet and pulled out her favorite pop tarts. "What time is mommy coming back?" I shrugged as I placed them in the toaster.

"I don't know, but Im sure she won't be gone that long." She nodded. "Are you gunna take me to school tommorow before you leave again?" I nodded. "Of course, are you gunna behave in school this time?" She looked down at the ground and nodded. "Okay good, you don't hurt people Li-Li." She sighed. "I know, but she called you stupid." I frowned. "What?" "Yeah, she said you and your music was stupid, so I said she and her daddy was stupid." I slightly chuckled.

"Well in that case you should have popped-" I cleared my throat and shook my head. "I mean.. thank you for defending me Li-Li, but like I said we don't hit people." She nodded. "...Unless they touch you first, then it's okay." I winked at her before placing her pop tarts on a plate.

"Can I eat in the music room?" I chuckled at how she referred to the studio as the music room. "No, you know you have to eat at the table, mommy's rules." I placed the plate down infront of her and kissed her forehead. "You can come back to the music room when you finish." She nodded her head as she bit into her food.

I walked back into the studio and closed the door behind me. "Ight, Im ready." I took my seat back down infront of the soundboard and hit the speaker button. "Okay, try to sing from your diaphragm this time." She stepped back in the booth and placed her headphones on, giving me a thumbs up when she was ready.

"Hold on, let me show you." I cut the music and stood up from my seat, making my way inside the booth with her. I turned her towards me and placed my hand on her stomach. "Sing from here." I pushed in a little, so she could feel the exact spot I was referring to. "Breath in." She looked me in the eyes and did exactly what I said. "Now exhale slowly." She kept her eyes glued to mine as she followed my instructions.

"You felt that?" She nodded. "Yeah...I did." I cleared my throat and removed my hand off her stomach. I stared into her eyes, while she stared in mine. She leaned in to me, bringing her lips closer to mine. I stood there, and watched her lips touch mine. I placed my hands on her waist and backed her into the booth wall. She wrapped her arms around my neck, as we continued to kiss one another. My hands glided down to her lower back as we tounged each other down. "...Daddy?"

I pulled away from her and snatched my hands off of her, before stumbiling back. I looked through the glass to see Aliyah standing in the doorway with her hand on the knob. " I cleared my throat and stepped out of the booth. "Li-Li."I reached for her and she backed away from me. "Li-Li I-". I could barely finish my sentence before she ran down the hall and up the stairs to her room.

"Shit." I mumbled. I rubbed the back of my head and turned around to see Ryelle standing in the booth, with her hand over her mouth, in complete shock. "Oh my god." She mumbled. "August Im so sorry." She stepped out of the booth, unsure of what to say.

"No, uh...it's um, it's straight....i'll talk to her." She shook her head. "No it's not okay, your daughter saw that, and your married, and I apologize." She sped walked passed me, making her way out of the booth. "Um, we can finish the song another time, Im gunna get my things and go." I nodded. "Yeah....good idea." Once she walked out of the room, I took a deep breath and ran my hand down my head. "What the fuck." I mumbled.

*********

I cracked open Aliyah's door to see her sitting on the ground, watching TV. "Hey princess." I said lowly. She looked up at me and folded her arms across her chest. "...Can I come inside?" She shook her head no, while making a mean face.

I sighed and pushed her door all the way open. "I wanna talk to you." I stepped inside her room and closed the door behind myself. She turned away from me and put her focus back on the TV screen. I took a seat on the edge of her bed and patted beside me.

"Come here." She huffed a little before standing up, plopping herself beside me. "I wanna talk to you about what you saw not to long ago." She look down at the ground, not wanting me to look me in the face.

"Can you tell me what you saw?" She slowly looked up at me and opened her mouth to speak. "I saw you and Ryelle holding each other." I nodded slowly. "...Is that all?" She shook her head no. "....I saw you put your lips on hers, like you and mommy always do." I sighed and ran a hand down my face.

"Okay." I started. "Look baby, what you saw with Ryelle was nothing okay? It was a mistake and it won't ever ever ever happen again...okay?" She looked back down at the ground, unsure of what to say.

"....You only do that to mommy...why'd you do that to her?" I sighed and pulled her on my lap. "Listen, I'll expain all of this to you when your older, but I want you to know that it was wrong and Im super sorry." She wiggled out of my grasp and sat back on the bed.

"Do you forgive me?" I asked her. She was silent. "Aliyah, I know you hear me." She got off the bed and sat back on the floor. I sighed and stood up from the bed and walked out of her room.

SIMONE P.O.V.

I kicked my shoes off at the door, dropped my keys on the small table. "August!!" "Living room!" He yelled back to me. I took a deep breath and walked to the living room and found him sitting on the couch.

I stood infront of him and pulled him off the couch. I wrapped my arms around his torso, and looked him in the eyes. "Im sorry about last night." He nodded. "It's fine, you don't got to apologize ma, there's something I wanna tell you first." I nodded. "Okay, but let me go first." I took a deep breath , trying to get my words together. "Look, I know that I've been acting super crazy about you and Ryelle being on tour together, and I shouldn't have blown up on you about her staying here."

He opened his mouth to speak, but I lifted up my hand, cutting him off. "Let me finish." I started. "Even though I still feel as if you should have talked to me before letting her stay here, I shouldn't have reacted they way I did, it was petty and childish. And Im also sorry for always being on your ass about Ryelle when your away....I guess I was slightly jealous of you being with another woman... and I was kind of afraid that you might slip up and do something to betray my trust."

He cleared his throat and rubbed his chin. "But." I started. "Like you said before you left, your player days are behind you, and you proven that to me for the past five years, I know Aliyah and I are everything to you and you wouldn't jeopardize that, so Im sorry baby." I pecked his lips and smiled. "So, what did you have to tell me?"

He scratched the back of his head and shrugged. "Uh....damn, I forgot." I chuckled. "Typical August." I let him go and walked into the kitchen, about to prepare dinner. "Can you let Ryelle know that dinner will be ready in a hour."

"Ryelle left." I turned around and frowned. "She left? Why??" He paused before speaking. "She just felt more comfortable staying at a hotel." My frown deepend. "Did she leave because of me?" He shook his head no. "Nah, it was her decision to go." I nodded slowly. "Is that what you needed to tell me?" He nodded. "Y-yeah, that's what it was." I could see he was unsure about his words. I placed my hand on my hip and leaned on the counter.

"Did something happen when I was gone?" He shook his head. "Nah, why you think that?" "Well, everything was fine, and then all of sudden she left, it doesn't make any sense." He sighed. "I told you, she just felt more comfortable in a hotel." I lifted a brow. "Are you sure nothing happened? Did you guys have a fight or something?" He shook his head no.

I looked him up and down, taking in his body language. "Where's Liyah?" He pointed upstairs. "In her bedroom." I nodded slowly. "Did you spend some time with her today?" He nodded. "Yeah, she came in the studio with me this morning." I smiled. "Like always....why isn't she down here playing? She usually comes racing down the stairs when she hears someone come home." He sratched the back of his head.

"Uh, I don't know, I think she's upset about me leaving tommorow." I frowned. "Aw, let me go talk to her." I turned to walk out of the kitchen, but he stopped me. "No, no, no..you make dinner, I'll go talk to her." I walked back over to the fridge and opened it. "..Okay babe." He shot me a quick smile before walking upstairs.

THE NEXT DAY

I held onto Aliyah's hand as August and I looked over the map to the zoo we were in. We had decided to take Aliyah to the zoo for the other half of her birthday suprise, and to spend some time together as a family before she went back to school and August left tommorow.

I shook her hand to get her attention. "What do you want to see next?" She tapped her chin thinking of a animal. "Snakes!!" I chuckled. "Alright, snakes it is, where are we goin baby?" August looked down at the map and paused. "This way." He pointed to the left and started to walk.

I pushed my shades and Aliyah's shades closer to our faces. We had went to a public zoo and were trying to blend in the best we could, but I could still feel eyes on us and we walked by everyone.

"Mommy look!! Did you see that?!" I chuckled at how excited she was over the whale show we were watching. "Yeah, I saw it." I held onto her small waist, holding her up so she could see better. "You know if you get on Daddy's shoulders, you'll able to see everything." I let go of her and sat her down in my lap.

"Come on princess, you can get up high." He held out his hands for her to grab, but she frowned. "I want mommy to hold me." He cleared his throat and sat his hands down. "Are you sure? You always want to get on daddy's shoulders." She nodded and stood back up on my lap, watching the whales do all their tricks.

"I guess she's still upset about you leaving tommorow." I whispered. "Yeah." He said lowly. I let out a weak smile and put my focus back on the show infront of us.

AUGUST P.O.V.

I sighed, knowing Aliyah was still mad at me for what she seen yesterday in the studio. And even though I tried to explain it to her, she knew it was wrong and she wasn't going to forgive me easily, she was just like Simone when it came to that. I put my focus back on the show, when I felt a muffled vibration coming from my cargo pants pockets.

I slipped it out and placed it to the side of me, so Simone wouldn't try to readit with me. I quikly opened the message once I seen it was fron Ryelle.

RYELLE(1:35PM)- Hey, what time is your soundcheck tommorow?"

I took a deep breath and began typing.

ME(1:36PM)- Around 3 I think, why wassup?"

RYELLE(1:38PM)- Tell you later.

I switched off the screen and slowly placed my phone back in my pocket. I didn't know what Ryelle wanted from me, but I was about to find out.
