SIMONE P.O.V.

I pushed my shades closer to my face as I stepped inside LeBou. I glanced around the room until I seen Kelsey talking to one of the customer service people. I sighed and pulled my purse up on my shoulder and walked over to her.

"Can you get these in a size four please?" The lady nodded and walked away towards the back of the store. I tapped her on the shoulder, causing her to turn around.

"Hey, you finally made it." She smiled and pulled me into a quick hug. "Yeah, so what did you need my help with?" She opened her mouth to speak, but the sound of the woman's voice stopped her.

"Here you go miss." Kelsey smiled and took the two dresses from her. "Thank you." She turned to me and held up the two silk gowns that were covers. "Which one you think looks better?"

I looked both of the dresses up and down before speaking. "The one to the right....why are they white?" She smacked her lips together before shifting her weightto her right leg.

"Because Craig told me to wear white tonight." I frowned. "For what??" She shrugged. "I don't know, just help me pick out something nice."

I pushed my shades to the top of my head and grabbed the dress she was holding to the right. "Fine, put that one back, and I help style you." A wide smile spread across her face. "Thank you Simi, your a life saver."

AUGUST P.O.V.

I looked down at my watch to check the time. Once I seen how late it was, I took a deep breath and let it out slowly. "Ight Michelle, I gotta go." I grabbed my keys off the table and headed towards the door.

"Your leaving? You sure you got everything under control??" I nodded. "Yeah for now, but I gotta get home and change, and pick up the kids when they get out of school." I quickly grabbed my tshirt and my bag off the table.

She nodded. "Thank you for last night though, you really came through for a nigga, I really needed it." She smiled. "Of course, anytime."

"I'll see you later right?" She nodded her head yes. "Yeah, definetely." I smiled at her one more time before leaving. I shuffled though my key ring, looking for my car key, when my phone started vibrating in my pocket.

Half of me knew it was Simone calling me again, but I decided to check on it anyways. I pulled my phone halfway out of my pocket and sighed once I seen her calling me again. I hit silent and quickly got into the car.

SIMONE P.O.V.

I let out a sharp sigh as I hung up the phone. "Which earring do you like more?" I dropped my phone into my purse, and looked up at the three different sets of earrings Kelsey was pointing too.

"The first pair is cute....what do you think? I mean, your the one that has to wear it. She nodded. "I actually was going to pick the first one, but I wanted your expert opinion first." I chuckled. "Right."

"No seriously." She started. "Remember when we were younger, you always helped me pick out my clothes on picture day and stuff, and you helped me pick out my dress for prom, your always helping me on my major events."

I lifted a brow. "Major events? What makes tonight so major?" She bit down on her bottom lip before looking up at me. "...I think tonight might be the night."

"The night for what?" I asked folding my arms across my chest. "You know....proposal." My eyes widened. "Proposal?? I thought you and Craig didn't want to get married?" She nodded.

"Well yeah, at first we both agreed amarriage wasn't for us, especially seeing what you and August went through, but as time went on, we changed our minds, especially seeing how much you guys love one another, and always end up being together in the end of all of your drama."

I nodded slowly. "So marriage is something your ready for?" She nodded. "Don't you think your a little to young?" She shook her head. "No, Im 23, didn't you get engaged to August at 24?" I sighed. "That's different."

She frowned and folded her arms across her chest. "How?" I paused before answering. "I don't know.....it just is." She slightly rolled her eyes before picking up the pair of earrings we chose. "You sound like mom."

I smirked. "Im sorry Kels, it's just that your my baby sister, you getting married seems like your growing up, it's just a little much for me." She smirked. "I know, but when your in love, you can't help yourself." I smiled.

My phone began to vibrate in my purse, causing me to jump. I could slightly feel the butterflies in my stomach as I reached down for it. I quickly pulled out my phone and sighed once I seen Kerri calling. "Hold on, it's Kerri." Kelsey nodded.

I stepped away from her and answered the phone.

ME: "Hey newly wed."

She chuckled.

KERRI: "Hey, how are you?"

ME: "Im alright....I could be better, but most importantly, how are you? How's Jason?"

KERRI: "Im good, Jason's good, I was just calling to check in with you, my cell reception is horrible here in Italy."

I smiled.

ME: "Aw, you didn't have to call, I know your probably busing being with your husband, or doing him, as Ellis would say."

She laughed.

KERRI: "Tell that fool I said hey by the way."

ME: "Im not at the shop, Im at a store with Kelsey, she called me saying she needed some help picking out a outfit for tonight...she said she thinks Craig might propose."

KERRI: "What? Forreal? I thought they were agaisnt marriage."

ME: "So did I, but it's a long story, I'll tell you once you get back from your romantic getaway."

She chuckled.

KERRI: "Alright, but what's going on with you? Why'd you say you could be doing better?"

I sighed.

ME: "It's kind of a long story, but it's about August, he's disappeared on me again."

KERRI: What???"

ME: "Yeah last night after your wedding, he left and I haven't seen him or heard from him since."

KERRI: "Oh my god, so you don't even know if he's okay or not, did he tell you where he was going?"

ME: "No he didn't."

I said in a sigh.

KERRI: "Well I wouldn't tell you not to worry, but I can't, that's pretty serious."

ME: "I know, if I don't hear from him soon, I have no choice but to call the police, I have no clue where he could be."

KERRI: "Damn Simi, well if you hear from him, let me know, and if you call the police let me know too alright?"

ME: "I will, you just have fun on your honeymoon alright?"

KERRI: "I will, but call me if anything okay?"

ME: "Alright."

I hung up the phone and took a deep breath. I glanced down at my watch and shook my head once I seen the time. I walked back over to Kelsey, who was looking at different heels.

"Kels it's late, the shop wasn't suppose to be closed today." She nodded. "I know and Im sorry, but I really need your help, please I promise I'll make it up too you, I just need two more hours of your time."

My eyes widened. "Two more hours? What else do you have to do?" She paused. ".....Um...Get my hair done...and nails....and I have a makeup appointment."

I sighed and rubbed my temples. "You have until the kids get out of school alright? I have to pick them up today." She frowned. "I thought August picks them up from school on Fridays." I nodded. "He usually does, but Im not sure if he is today, so I have too." She nodded.

I didn't want to tell her he disappeared on me because I knew she would start to freak out. Unlike Kerri and Ellis, Kelsey's my real family, and I know she would go crazy if I told her he was somewhat missing.

All I had to do right now is wait for a little bit before I make my next move. Then I would have no choice but to let everyone know what was going on.

"I can't believe you made me sit there and get a mani and pedi with you." Kelsey chuckled. "Well I didn't wanna do it alone, besides when was the last time you had one anyways? Your always on mommy duty these days." I was silent, knowing she was right.

"Where do you have to go next?" She carefully placed her shades on her face as she walked over to her car. "To get my makeup done, just follow behind me to the place." I sighed and checked the time.

"Alright, you have a hour, don't forget I have to be back to pick up Aliyah and AJ." She nodded. "I won't."

AUGUST P.O.V.

I pulled my bucket hat down, sitting down in the office, waiting for Aliyah and AJ to get here. "Hey daddy!!" My head quickly turned to the right and I smiled once I seen A woman holding the door open for the two of them.

"Hey baby girl." I picked her up and kissed her on the forhead. "Where have you been?" She folded her arms across her chest, waiting for me to answer her.

"I was on a special duty." She frowned. "A special duty? Like what?" I chuckled. "I can't tell you."

"Well Why not." She huffed. I was just about to answer her, when I felt AJ pulling on my jeans. I sat Aliyah down and faced him. "Wassup lil man?"

"My tooth came out last night!" I laughed once I seen his front tooth missing. "I see that, how did it come out?"

"I asked Miss Simone for a apple, and when I bit it my tooth got stuck in it!!" I chuckled. "Did you save it?" He nodded and reached down into his pocket and pulled out his tooth.

"Good job." I held my hand out, and he gave me a high five. "Ew, boys are gross." Aliyah said, frowning."

I took both of there bookbags from them and grabbed onto there hands. "Y'all ready to go?" They both nodded at the same time.

"Ight, let's go." We walked out of the office and began making our way out of the school.

"Why'd you pick us up so early daddy?" Aliyah asked me. "Because I wanted to see you guys, is that cool with y'all?" She nodded and so did AJ.

I held open the door and let them walk out first. "Can we go do something fun?" AJ asked me. I smirked.

"We are." I started. "But first, daddy has to run some errands." I hit the locks on my keyring and opened up the backseat door for them.

"I hate errands." AJ said. I slid into the driver seat and started up the car. "Trust me, these are fun errands, and they involve gifts." "Lets go!!" Aliyah added. I shook my head and pulled away from the curb.

1 HOUR LATER-SIMONE P.O.V.

I stepped out of the car, clipping my freshly straightned hair up out of my face. After begging me nonstop, I finally gave into Kelsey convincing me to get my hair done with her, just so she wouldn't have to sit by herself doing the whole thing.

I grabbed my shades, carefully placing them on my face since she begged me to get my makeup done too. It took me a while to give into the makeup, but I just agreed so she would stop asking me.

I shut the car door and walked inside of the school, knowing there was like a minute and a half until the bell rang. I walked down the hallway to Aliyah's classroom, and waited there until the bell went off.

I pulled out my phone just to see if I had any texts or calls from August, but I didn't. The little time I was suppose to be waiting was almost up, and I was stating to get really anxious. I looked up once the bell went off, waiting for Aliyah to come out of her class.

I glanced down the hall, trying to see if AJ was out yet, but he wasn't either. As the hallway filled with kids, I peaked my head into her classroom and frowned once I seen the empty classroom.

"Excuse me Miss White." I said, stepping into her classroom. "Oh hello Mrs.Alsina, can I help you with something?" I nodded. "Actually you can, where's Aliyah?? I didn't see her come out of the classroom."

She nodded and walked over to her desk. "Right, Aliyah got picked up early about a hour ago, as well as your son I think." I frowned. "Picked up?? Did my husband come to get them?" She looked down at a paper before looking back up at me.

"No, I believe it was someone named Lillian." I frowned. "Lillian?" She nodded. "Ok, thank you so much." I turned and walked out of the classroom, pulling out my phone. I quickly dialed my mom's number, wondering why she would pick the kids up without asking or telling me first.

MOM: "Hey baby."

ME: "Hey mom, you picked the kids up from school today?"

MOM: "I sure did, they're here with me right now."

I frowned.

ME: "Why didn't you ask me first? I was seconds away from having a heart attack."

She chuckled.

MOM: "Im sorry baby, Ronald and I were off today, and it's almost the weekend, so I wanted to take my grandbabies somewhere, and I knew you wouldn't let me."

I smacked my lips together.

ME: "And why wouldn't I?"

MOM: "Because, I took them to chuckie cheese, and I knew you wouldn't have let me pick them up early just to go there."

I paused, knowing she was right.

ME: "Alright, I'll give you that, but please don't ever do that again okay? Just tell me next time."

She chuckled.

MOM: "I will, and I'll have them back by a decent hour tonight."

I took a small sigh of relief.

ME: "Alright, call me if anything."

I hung up the phone and walked out of the school. I was just about to dial Augusts' number again, when my phone began vibrating in my hand. I sighed once I seen Kelsey calling me. I answered, placing the phone to my ear.

ME: "Yes Kelsey."

KELSEY: "I know you just left me, but I need some more help."

I sighed and walked over to my car.

ME: "I don't have time to help you anymore Kels, you took up my whole day, I know tonight means alot to you, but I have other things to handle, I didn't want to tell you, but I have no clue where August has been since last night, and I need to find out where he is."

KELSEY: "I just talked to August not to long ago."

I immediately stopped walking.

ME: "What?? You did?? Do you know where he is? Or where he's been??"

KELSEY: ...I'll tell you if you come over and help me get ready."

I sucked my teeth.

ME: "Kelsey don't play with me, this is serious."

She sighed.

KELSEY: "Ok ok, he's fine, but that's all Im telling you, I really need your help, I can't squeeze my ass into that dress I bought without some assistance."

I slightly chuckled.

ME: "Alright, Im coming, and when I get there, I want to know where my husband is."

KESLEY: "Ok, deal."

I hung up the phone and got into the car.

*********************

I shifted my weight to my left foot as I waited for Kelsey to unlock the door. As soon as I heard the locks clicking, I stood up straight, getting impatient.

The door swung open and she stood there in her lingerie motioning for me to come inside. "Come on, I have to start putting myself together." I sighed and stepped inside, closing the door behind myself.

I followed her upstairs to her and Craig's bedroom. " I need help getting my dress on." I shook my head, placing my purse on her dresser. "Alright, come on." She picked up her dress and carefully unzipped it.

So can you tell me where August is? Since that's the only reason I agreed to help you." She stepped into her dress and began pulling it up.

"....I don't know where he's at, but I think he's somewhere with Craig." I frowned. "And how do you know that?"

"Well, you said you haven't seen him since last night right?" I nodded. She wiggled her dress up a little more. "Well, I haven't seen Craig since last night either, he's probably helping him with my proposal for tonight."

I sighed. "Are you sure??" She nodded. "Im positive, he even asked me where Craig was, like I couldn't hear his loud ass in the background." I chuckled.

"I played it off though, and acted like I didn't know." I smirked. "Well if that was the case, why wouldn't he tell me he was going to help Craig?" She shrugged.

"I don't know, maybe Craig thought you would tell me, but he should know Im smart, I figured it out, but take a sigh of relief, August is fine, they're definetely together." I nodded, taking a sigh of relief.

"Alright, now help me get this dress over my ass." I looked down and busted out laughing once I seen her dress rolled under butt. "Damn, when did you get so thick?"

She smirked. "It's along story, just help me." I turned her around and started to pull on her dress, but it wouldn't budge.

"Are you sure you got the right size?? Because there's now way this is fitting over your huge ass." She smacked her lips together. "It has to fit, what does the tag say?" I leaned my head to the side and glanced at the tag.

"It says it's a size four, that's your size right?" She nodded. "Yeah, it should be fitting me perfectly." She sighed and slipped the dress off.

"I can't believe this." She mumbled. "I don't have time to go out and get another dress, plus I just spent a bunch on this one." I frowned. "Well why isn't it fitting if it yours size?" She shrugged.

"I don't know, what size are you??" "A two." She nodded. "Put it on." I frowned. "For what??"

"So I can see how it fits you, if it fits you good, then the dresses obviously run small." I sighed and began unbuttoning my shirt. "I swear you owe me for this whole day."

She chuckled. "I know, I know." I quickly pulled off all my clothes and slipped the dress on.

"Damn, it fits you so good." Kelsey said, shaking her head. "Yeah it does, maybe these dresses do run sma-" My sentence was interrupted from Kelsey's phone ringing on the dresser.

"Oh hold on, it's Craig." I nodded and took a seat on the edge of her bed. "Hey baby." She said with a wide smile.

I glanced over my shoulder at the floor where I seen her heels sitting. I reached over and grabbed them, admiring how cute they were. I pulled off my sandals and slipped them on, since Kelsey and I were the same shoe size.

"Yeah Im, home why? Are you alright??" I stood up from her bed and walked over to the mirror, looking at the dress and shoes together, impressed with my work.

"What happened to August???" I quickly turned away from the mirror and looked over at Kelsey. "An accident?? What kind of accident??" I grabbed the bottom of the dress and walked over to her, trying to listen to there conversation.

"Well what the hell was he doing up there???" She said loudly. "Ok, Ok, Simone and I are coming, text me the address." She hung up the phone and grabbed her tshirt and a pair of legging out of the drawer.

"Kelsey what's going on??" She sighed. "I don't know, Craig said that August was helping him do something, and he was up on a ladder and he fell, hitting his head." My eyes widened. "What?! Is he okay???"

"He doesn't know, he's knocked out, they called the ambulance, but we have to go right now if we want to make it there before the ambulance does." She said, slipping on her flip flops.

"Oh my god, yes come on." I quickly grabbed my purse off the counter and took off downstairs with Kelsey right behind me.

****************************

I pulled up the building where Craig said they were at. And frowned once I seen no ambulance here. "Where the hell are they?? Don't they know thtat this is an emergency??" Kelsey nodded her head in agreement, as she quickly got out of the car.

"If they don't come in the next five minutes, we'll just take him to the hospital, let's just get in there and see what the hell is going on." She slammed the car door and sped walked up to the building door.

I followed right behind her, as she quickly pushed the doors open. "Oh my god I hope he's oka-" I froze dead in my tracks once I stepped inside the builidng.

I looked around the room to see everyone
