I wiped my eyes as I folded a few shirts. It's only been four days since I kickeed August out the house. And even though I was pissed at him, I also felt extremely broken inside. "Girl you look a hot mess." I sighed and wiped my face. "Not now Ellis, im not in the mood."

He sntached the shirt out of my hand and turned me around to him. "Girl stop." he started. "You've been coming to work everyday all sad and depressed and Im tired of it." I sighed. "Look at you, coming up in here with yo hair uncurled, no makeup on in sweats pants." I was silent.

"Now what kind of friend would I be if I let you walk around looking like this." He held my hand and pulled me into the backroom of the shop. "What are you doing?" He fanned me off. Kerri and I are gunna fix you up, and help you feel better."

I frowned. "But we're at work, how are you gunna do that." He smirked. "Chile, you ain't said nothing but a word." He turned around and opened one of the storage drawers, pulling out different hair products and curling wands.

"You keep all this stuff back here?" He nodded his head. "You realize that this room is for storage, right?" He nodded again. "Yes, and I needed a place to store my extra stuff." I sighed. "So why didn't you get a storage unit like everybody else?" He fanned me off. "Cause that costs money, now sit back in your seat and relax, and Im gunna go put the closed sign on the door, and grab Kerri." He winked at me before leaving the room.

I took a deep breath and sat back in my seat. Even though I was againsnt this, I didn't have the energy in me to put a stop to this. Besides, I knew I looked a hot mess, and I really did need a pick me up.

As Ellis curled the last piece of my hair, Kerri sat her portable mirror in my lap and smiled. "Take a look." I sighed and picked up the mirror. I held it up and looked at myself, slightly impressed. "Wow." I mumbled. I turned and looked at both sides of my face, checking myself out.

"I did good huh?" Ellis asked from behind me. "Yeah, real good." I stared at myself in shock. My hair looked ten times better than it did a hour ago, and he did my makeup so well, you couldn't even see the bags under my eyes from my lack of sleep, or the puffiness from me crying all day.

"Well now that you look better, how do you feel?" Kerri said, taking a seat beside me. "I don't know, I mean I do feel a little better than I did when I walked in here this morning." She smiled. "Well our mission is complete." She stood up and pulled me out of my chair.

"And now, for the last thing." She started. She handed me the keys to the store and my purse. "Go home and relax, and most importantly, get some rest." I sighed and shook my head. "What about the shop? We hardly done any work today." She fanned me off.

"Ellis and I will hold it down here for a little while." Ellis nodded. "Yeah sus, P.O.P." I chuckled. "..Alright...I'll go home and get some rest, I know you guys are looking forward to going tonight, so I'll try to perk up."

They both nodded. "Alright, Im carpooling, so I'll be to your house and 10." Kerri said with a smile. I slipped my purse up on my shoulder and nodded. "Okay, I'll see y'all later."

*************

I pushed my shades closer to my face, once I seen Aliyah approaching the car. I cleared my throat and sat up straight in my seat, putting on my best face for her. She opened up the car door and climbed in the backseat. "Hey mommy." I smiled.

"Hey baby, how was school?" She nodded. "Okay I guess." I chuckled. "Did you learn something new?" She nodded. "We learned some words in spanish today." I lifted both of my brows up. "Really? What words?" I started up the car and pulled away from the curb.

"Well." She started. "We learned different colors in spanish." I nodded my head, impressed. "Okay, well which ones did you learn?" She looked up and tapped her chin. "Rojo means red, azul means blue, verde means green and negro means black." I pulled up to the red light and slightly clapped. "Good job Li-Li." She smiled.

"Next week we're learning numbers one through ten." I nodded. "That sounds fun baby." I took off from the light and made our way towards the house.

"Can I call daddy and tell him the colors too?" I faked a smile and nodded. "Yeah, you can call him on the new house phone I got." Since I kicked August out he house last weekend, I invested in a house phone, so he call and speak directly to Aliyah, there was no need for us to be communicating. She frowned. "But I wanted to tell him now."

I sighed and took one hand off the wheel and reached down into my purse, pulling out my phone. "Here, you can call him now." She smiled and grabbed the phone out of my hand, extremely excited.

I watched her dial his number through the mirror, before hitting the speaker button. "Hello?" Once I heard his voice, it immediately sent chills down my spine.

"Hey daddy." I focused my eyes back on the road, and continued to listen to their conversation. "Hey, is that my Li-Li??" She laughed. "Yep."

"Wassup munchkin? I wasn't expecting you to call me from mommy's phone." She smirked. "I know, Im in the car with mommy and she just picked me up from school, but I wanted to call you." I stopped at another light, and continued listening. "I wanted to tell you the colors I learned in spanish today."

He chuckled. "Spanish? Your already learning spanish?" I sat back in my seat and continued to drive. "Yeah, we learned that azul means bue, rojo means red, verde means green and negro means black."

"Good job princess." He said in a chuckle. "Those were all the ones you learned today?" "Yeah, we're learning the numbers one through ten next week." I pulled up to our gates and put in the passcode.

"Alright, are you gunna call me and tell me all the numbers??" He asked. "Of course I am!" She said while laughing. "Maybe when you come home again, I could teach you them." He was silent for a second.

"....Yeah, okay...that sounds like a plan." She smiled. "Do you know when your coming back??" I pulled into our driveway and took a deep breath, scared of his answer. "My tour ends next week, so I promise I'll come see you." She undid her seatbelt and grabbed her backpack. "Well of course, your gunna be back home silly." She started to laugh.

I undid my seatbelt and grabbed my purse out of the passenger seat. "....Right.....but look, I have to go okay? Promise you'll call me later?" She sighed and nodded her head, even though he couldn't see her. "Okay, I will."

"Ight, love you booger." She laughed. "Love you too." I stepped out of the car and opened the door for her, as she handed me my phone. "Did you hear that?" She started. "Daddy's gunna be back home soon." I nodded my head and tried my best to smile.

"Yeah, I heard." I hit the locks and walked over to the front door, with her trailing behind me. "I can't wait." I unlocked the door and let her walk in first. I took another deep breath, clearing my mind of all the thoughts I had of August and replaced them with the thoughts of going out tonight.

*****************

I pulled my dress up my legs and slid it up the rest of my body. Once I made sure all the strings were tied, I walked into my bathroom and re-did my makeup for tonight. Since Ellis curled my hair earlier today, I really didn't need to do much too it besides re-curl a few pieces.

"Auntee Kelsey is here!" Aliyah said, running inside my bathroom. "Okay, tell her to come up here for me." She nodded and turned on her heels, running back out of my room and down the stairs.

I leaned into the mirror, as I carefully applied my red lipstick to my lips. "Well good goddamn." I looked through my mirror to see Kelsey standing behind me. "You look really nice." I smirked. "Thanks."

I turned around and smiled. "Where the hell did you get this dress? I never seen you wear anything like that before." I chuckled. "I've had it for awhile...I usually only wear it for August, but...things change." I turned back around and continued putting on my makeup.

"Speaking of August." She leaned onto the doorframe and looked at me through the mirror. "What's going on with you two? You didn't know he was coming to the barbeque, and then you guys spent like thirty minutes talking in private when he got there, and now, you need me to babysit Li-Li, when I clearly remember you telling me he was home not to long ago."

I sighed, not wanting to get into any details right now. "Do we have to talk about this now? Im about to go out, and I don't want to ruin my mood." She frowned. "So there is something going on??" I sighed again. "Yes Kelsey, since you wanna know so bad, yes there's something going on."

Both of her brows shot up. "Well what is it? What's going on with you guys." I sat down the eyeliner I was using and turned to her. "...Where's Aliyah? I don't need her hearing us talking about this." She nodded. "She's downstairs watching cartoons, I brought her some cookies, so she should be busy for awhile."

I nodded and took a deep breath. "Okay, well...it all started with that little girl he's on tour with." Kelsey frowned. "That new singer?" I nodded my head yes. "Yeah her name is Ryelle. But anyways." I started. "I was already kind of nervous about August being on tour with a female, but he kept telling me over and over nothing would happen between him and Ryelle." She nodded and motioned for me to continue.

"So, on the day of Aliyah's birthday party, he brings her home with him and invites her to stay without asking me first." Her eyes widened. "What??"

I nodded. "Yeah, and we got into a slight arguement about it, but I dropped it the next day, and made up with him when I came home from work." She nodded. "But, what I didn't know was that they kissed when I was work." Kelsey shook her head.

"Say you swear." I nodded. "I swear, and what made it even worse was the fact that Li-Li saw them, and she was the one to tell me." Kelsey sighed, obviously disappointed. "So what happened after that?"

"Well to make a long story short, They went out together and got caught by the papparazzi, August lied to me about the situation and I was pissed after I found out the truth so I eneded up attacking Ryelle in the club one night." Kelsey laughed. "Oh god, did you choke her like you did that Ariana girl?" I sucked my teeth and rolled my eyes.

"Whatever. August and I made up and everything, and then here comes Valentines day." I sighed, not wanting to explain this. "He ignored me the whole day on Valentines day, leaving me here waiting for him, never showing up. The next morning he woke me up and suprised me with my gift." Kelsey smiled. "Aw, okay, so what's the problem?"

"...I went off on him about forgetting Valentine's day before he gave me the gift...and I also accused him of being with Ryelle." She shook her head. "Damn." "Yeah, so he got upset at me and said that the situation with Ryelle brought out all of our problems that we need to work on, and I suggested we get help for them." She nodded. "Of course."

"I scheduled us a therapy session and he stood me up. So at the barbeque we were having a conversation, and he ended it saying that he wanted to be seperated right now." Her eyes widend. "Seperated?"

I nodded. "Yeah, so that's our current situation." She took a deep breath probably trying to digest everything I just told her. "....So like...is this leading to divorce...or??" I sighed and shrugged. "I don't know, I didn't think so, but everything's been going down hillSo , I can't really say yes or no anymore."

"Oh my god." She mumbled. She opened her mouth to speak, but the sound of Aliyah's voice stopped her. "Auntee!!!" She ran into the bathroom and hooked herself on Kelsey's legs. "Do you wanna play Guess Who with me??" I smirked. "Yeah, sure, let's go." She picked her up and carried her out of the room.

*************************

"So which club are we going to?" I buckeled my seat belt, and looked over at Ellis, who was driving. "It's a suprise." I rolled my eyes and turned around to Kerri in the backseat. "I'll pray for the both of us." She chuckled. "I said my prayers before I left the house." I smiled and turned back in my seat.

"Y'all hoes get on my nerves." Ellis said with a smirk. I looked over out the window, wondering where we were going. ".....No seriously E, where's the club?? All the clubs I know are on the other side of the city." He fanned me off. "Just wait, we're almsot there."

I sighed and sat back in my seat, getting a bad feeling about this. I knew it was a risk trusting Ellis' word, but I was already here in the car, so there was no turning back now.

We pulled into a club's parking lot and found a empty space. "...What club is this?" Kerri asked, undoing her seatbelt. "Yeah, I never seen this place before." He cut off the car, and pulled down his mirror, fixing his wig and makeup.

"Okay, I might as well tell y'all the truth now." I frowned and so did Kerri. "This ain't a club." He started. "It says Club Hypnotic on the front of it." I said confused. "Well techincally it is a club, but tonight it ain't." I held up my hand, not understanding.

"Please explain what's going on." He closed his mirror and turned to us. "I told y'all I wanted to try speed dating, so that's what we about to do." My eyes widened. "You brought us here to speed date?!" He nodded his head yes. "There's a section for y'all straight bitches, and there's a section for me." I sighed and shook my head.

"Okay, did you forget that Im married, and that Kerri's engaged??" She nodded. "That's the whole reason why we didn't want to come with you before." Kerri said. "Y'all don't gotta pick nobody up damn, just have normal conversation." We were silent.

"Y'all better do this for me, Im tired of being the only one with no real man." We chuckled. "...Alright, fine." I opened up my door and shook my head. "Im not ready for this, but I'll do this for you E." He smiled. "Thanks sus." Once Kerri got out of the car, we made our way inside the building and took a look around.

"And this is my que to leave." Ellis turned around and made his way over to the other side of the club for the gay men. "I can't believe were about to do this." I nodded. "I know, but we got to be supportive for Ellis, we're already taken, so let's just get this over with." She nodded her head in agreement. "Alright."

We walked up to the table and got a sticker and wrote our names on it. I stuck my on my dress, and so did Kerri. We walked inside the man room and stood in line with the rest of the women. "Hello everybody." The announcer said. "Thank you for coming out to singles speed dating here at Club Hypnotic." Some people clapped, while others stayed silent.

"I hope everyone took a name tag and placed it where it was visible." I looked down at my name tag that was placed on my left boob and sighed. Since I thought we were going to the club, I wore a club dress, one that super tight and strapless. I looked around at everyone else who was dressed normally and felt slightly embarrased.

"Now these are the rules." The announcer started again. "You will take a seat at all the stations, giving you ten minutes to talk to your partner at the time. Once the ten minutes are up, a bell will go off, signaling your time to switch. The women will rotate to the right, and the men to the left." I looked over at Kerri, who looked just as uneasy as I did.

"Everybody may take a seat. I walked over to a table and took a seat. I sighed once I seen some man sit down infront of me, smiling like a crackhead. I cringed once I heard the bell go off. "Hello beautiful." I crossed my legs and gave him a small smile. "Hi.."

He glanced down at my name tag and smirked. "Simone right?" I nodded my head yes. "Yeah.." I looked down at his name tag that read Roger. "Roger." I started. "Im not here for this speed dating thing, I'm married and I only came tonight to support my friend." He chuckled.

"Damn, well you should have worn a different dress." I cleared my throat and sat back in my seat, feeling uncomfortable. "We can talk for these ten minutes you know." He said smiling harder than before. I looked up at his smile, that was missing two teeth and frowned. "No thank you." I reached into my purse and pulled out my phone.

***************

I got up from the fifth table tonight, exhausted as hell. Half of me was lowkey happpy that I was married because most of these men were just not my type. They either had no job, no car, no teeth, or couldn't speak correct english.

I took my seat at the next table and leaned back, already over this. I knew once this was over, Kerri and I we're gunna beat Ellis' ass for dragging us out here, knowing that she's engaged, and Im still married, regardless of my situation.

"Ah,its you again." I looked up at the man in the chair, and slightly frowned once I seen it was the guy from Aliyah's ballet class.

"How you doin?" He smiled and leaned back into his seat. ".....Im fine....and you?" He nodded. "Im good." I nodded slowly, and stayed silent.

"Now." He started. "Either you were lying to me when you flashed that ring in my face, or you and your husband are into some freaky shit." I chuckled. "I wasn't lying to you, I really am married." I held up my hand, showing him my ring.

"So you must be in a open marriage or something, cause no married women would be here at a speed dating table." He smirked and leaned back into his seat. "Well if you must know, im not in a open marriage, my friend lied and said we were going out to the club tonight, but instead he drove us here, forcing us to do this with him."

He laughed. "Damn, well, that's explains your dress." He looked me up and down and slightly licked his lips. I cleared my throat and sat up in my seat. "Since you wanna ask me so many questions, what are you doing here?" He chuckled. "Me and my sister made a bet, and I lost, so here I am." I smirked. "So your sister is doing this speed dating thing?" He nodded and motioned to a table across the room.

"Yeah, there she." I looked over my shoulder and nodded slowly. "Oh...Okay." He nodded. "....So where yo husband at?" I frowned and laughed a little. "Excuse me?? What kind of question is that?" He rubbed his chin and smirked. "Shit I was just wondering cause I don't know what man would let his wife walk out the house with that dress on, knowing niggas like me is gon look."

I laughed. "He wasn't home." He nodded. "That explains it then." He smiled pulled his bucket hat closer to his face. "What's yo name?" He asked me."Simone, and yours?"

"Sean." I nodded. "Well it's nice to meet you..Sean." He looked me up and down again before nodding. "You too." I crossed my legs and sat back in my seat, feeling slightly uncomfortable. I wasn't used to another man looking at me the way he did, and it was a strange feeling.

"So are you going out after this? Or do you gotta run home to yo husband?" I smirked. "My husband isn't home, and he won't be for awhile." He nodded slowly. "'And why is that? If you don't mind me me asking. I sighed. "Long story." He leaned back in his seat and folded his arms across his chest. "Im all ears."

I chuckled and shook my head. Just then, the bell went off, signaling our time to switch seats. I looked back up at Sean and smirked. "Maybe another time." I got up from my seat and grabbed my purse off the table. I was just about to walk away, when he grabbed my wrist, pulling me back to him.

"Come out with me after this." I frowned. "What?" "Ima call up
