A WEEK LATER

"So have you found out anything yet?" I leaned back into Trey's couch and got comfortable. He took a deep breath before nodding his head yes. "I have." I sat up straight and frowned once I seen the worry on his face.

"Oh my god, don't tell me she's cheating on you." He shook his head no. "No, no it's nothing like that...."

"Well what is it?" I crossed my legs and waited for him to continue. "....Well, I tried asking her again why she wasn't excited about our child, and we got into a slight arguement about it." I sighed and shook my head.

"In the midst of the arguement, she admitted the real reason why she's been having a attitude towards me, and why she's not excited." I frowned. "Okay, what was the reason?"

"You." I held up my hand. "Excuse me?" He nodded. "Yeah, she's not a big fan of you." I frowned, confused as hell. "Well why not? And why am I the reason she's not happy about her own child??" He sighed.

"She doesn't like our relationship, she thinks Im still intrested in you." My eyes grew wide. "What??? That's crazy." "I know." He started. "I think she's slightly insecure when it comes to you because we're so close....and because at one point it was a possibility that Aliyah was my child."

I sighed. "Thats why she had a attitude that day at her birthday party, she claims everytime she's around you guys, all she can think about is how Aliyah could've possiby been my daughter." I shook my head, not believing any of this. "So she dislikes me because we're really good friends and we had history together??"

"Basically." He said in a sigh. "....That still doesn't explain what I have to do with her not being excited about her pregnancy." He nodded. "I know, she said she was a little nervous about becoming a mother, and she has doubts about being a good mom." I nodded my head, completely understanding.

"I get that, I felt the same way in my first few months of pregnancy...Im sure she'll get passed it." He took a deep breath. "I hope so."

"......So what's new with you? It seems like everytime we talk, it's aways about Asia and I. How are you and August?" I sighed, contemplating if I should tell him the truth or not.

"We're......not to good." I said, shaking my head. "What's going on?" I lifted my head up and faced him. "It's a long story that I don't want to explain, but we're seperated at the moment." His eyes widened. "Seperated?? Like your not together?" I shook my head no.

"Damn." He mumbled. "I didn't know you could do that in marriage." I sighed. "Neither did I." "....You guys aren't getting a divorce or you?" I shook my head no. "No, we're just going through a really rough patch right now, I wouldn't say we're headed to divorce."

He nodded. "Good, but if it's just a rough patch, then Im not even going to worry about you two." I frowned. "Why not??" "Because." He said in a chuckle. "This is classic Simone and August."

My frown deepened. "And what does that mean?" "The whole back and forth, y'all break up and realize how much y'all love and can't live without each other, and fix the problem and get back together. It's been a proven fact as long as I known y'all." I chuckled.

"That's true, but I don't know Trey, I have a feeling that this time is different. Even though Im not looking for a divorce from him.....I honestly believe if we keep having problems like this, we're gunna wanna divorce from one another."

Trey shook his head. "Well I'll pray for y'all, and hope that you guys work it out." I smiled. "Thanks." I looked down at my watch and checked the time. "I gotta go, I have to pick Aliyah up from ballet pratice, today was her first day." He smirked. "Alright." We both stood up from the couch at the same time.

"You need to come over here more often, you hardly come to my house these days." I chuckled. "I know, I know, I'll stop by more often...if it's okay with Asia." He laughed and pulled me into a hug.

He walked me out to the front door, just for Asia to be walking inside. She looked me up and down and then looked over at Trey. "Hey baby." He said with a smile. He pulled her into him and pecked her lips.

She looked over at me again, most likely wondering what I was doing here. "Hey Asia." She let out a fake smile. "Hi...Simone." I cleared my throat and turned to the door. "I was just leaving...so I'll see you guys later." I stepped out of their house and rushed over to my car.

Now knowing that Asia doesn't like me is definetely going to make things awkward.

************************************

I walked inside Aliyah's ballet rehersal and pushed my shades closer to my face. I stood up agaisnt the wall with the other parents, while Aliyah and the rest of the girls finished up with their instructor.

I leaned up agaisnt the wall, while my phone vibrated in my hand. I looked down at it and smirked once I seen a text from Ellis.

"ELLIS(3:45PM)-Don't forget about this weekend, and wear something cute, leave yo mommy clothes in the closet."

I chuckled and shook my head, closing the message. I was happy about going out this weekend since August would be home and I wouldn't have to be around him. And besides, I needed a little time to have some fun since I barely got to do that anymore.

I dropped my phone in my bag and looked back up at the girls dancing. "How you doin?" I looked to my right to see a guy smiling at me. "Im fine, how are you?" He smirked. "Im good." I nodded slowly and turned back to the front.

"Which one is yours?" He asked leaning over to me. I chuckled and pointed to Aliyah, who was way across the room. "The one in the sparkly tutu, with the big bun." He chuckled. "Which one is yours?"

He pointed and smirked. "The one next to your daughter." I looked over at the little girl next to Li-Li and smiled. "She's cute." He nodded. "Yeah, I know." I glanced over at him and smiled, since he was already staring at me, smiling.

"Okay girls, that's all for today!" I stood up straight, once I heard the instructor, dismiss the girls. I waited for Aliyah to grab her bag, before waving my hand, showing her where I was at. Once she seen me, she smiled and ran as fast as she could over to me.

"Hey munchkin." I started. "How was your first lesson?" She nodded. "It was fun, everyone said they liked my tutu." I chuckled and grabbed her bag out of her hand. "Cool, Im glad you had fun." I tossed her bag on my shoulder and led her to the front door.

"Wait!! She started. "I have to say goodbye to my friend first." I nodded and let her go. She turned around and ran over to the same little girl, the guy had showed me a few minutes ago.I smiled once I seen them hug each other goodbye.

"Okay Im ready." I smirked. "Alright, let's go." We walked out the door together, and walked over to the door. "Excuse me miss." I opened up Aliyah's door and let her inside, before turning around.

"Can I help you?" I asked once I seen the guy from earlier standing infront of me. "..I was wondering if I could get your number, you know, for the kids." I chuckled. "They just met today, don't you think they should get to know each tother more before they have any play dates?"

He smirked. "Ight, you got me." I laughed. "I want your number for myself, If you want me to be honest." He pushed his dreads back and smiled at me. "Im sorry, but Im taken." I pushed my hair behind my ear, so he could see the ring on my finger.

He looked me up and down and licked his lips. "My bad....whoever dude is, he's lucky as hell though." I chuckled and nodded. "Thank you." I smiled at him one more time before getting in the car and driving off.

"Is daddy coming home this weekend?" The smile I had on my face automatically faded into a frown. "Yeah, he's coming home baby." She smiled. "Im going out this weekend, so you and daddy can have some daddy daughter time." Her smile widened.

"Yay!!" I laughed, even though it hurt me a little. I knew Aliyah loved me, and she enjoyed the time we spent together, but it was no denying that she was a daddy's girl. She adored August, and he's all she ever talks about when he's away. And now that we're on bad terms with one another, there's only so much questions I could take about him. It was like I couldn't stop thinking about him because every time he wasn't on my mind, she would bring him up. And honestly, it makes me sick to my stomach at times when I see how excited she gets over him.

"Can we listen too daddy's music?" I sighed, not really wanting to hear it. "Sure." I reached over and stuck my right hand inside of the car door where we kept the cd's. I pulled out August's cd and slid into the player. Once the music started playing, I looked up at Aliyah through my mirror, to see her smiling and swaying back and forth.

AUGUST P.O.V.

"Did I tell you that Rodney is coming to the the show in Atlanta?" I liften both of my brows, shocked by the news. "Nah, you ain't tell me, Im suprised he's coming." She nodded. "Yeah, since the tour is coming to an end he wanted to be there." I nodded. "So is he coming to the last show in Houston too?" She shook her head no.

"No, he can't make the last one, so that's why he's coming to the second to last one." I chuckled. "Oh ight, that's wassup." She nodded. "Yeah, do you know what we're doing after the last shpw in Houston though? I know our team is going out to celebrate."

I nodded. "Yeah of course, but nah, ion know what we doing yet, we'll probably hit a few clubs, pop some bottles, the ususal."

"Okay, Im cool with that. She stood up from the edge of her bed and walked over to the closet. "I need your help." I frowned. "With what??"

"Well." She started. "Rodney and I are gunna go out after the show like always, and I need something to wear." I nodded slowly. "Okay and??"

"And, your gunna help me pick out a outfit." I sucked my teeth. "Nah, you good." She hit the light in the hotel closet and fanned me off.

"I have a few options, but I need to narrow it down to one." I grabbed all the outfits she had and tossed them back on the bed. "So pick one of these, and then your gunna help me pick out my jewelry and makeup."

I stood up from my chair and looked down at my watch. "Well won't you look at the time." She laughed and shook her head. "No, your helping me, sit back down." I sighed and sat back down in my seat. "This is for girls Ry, I can't help you with this shit."

She fanned me off and held up the first outfit. "Your the only person here, so you have to help me by default." I chuckled and shook my head. "Alright.....that's ugly." She frowned and looked down at what she was holding.

"Okay well, this one is a no." She picked up the next thing and held it up so I could see. "That one's ight." She nodded. "Okay, I'll put this in the maybe pile." I sighed and leaned back in my seat, knowing I was gunna be here for awhile.
