It's been a few days since Nicole got shot and she's still in a coma. She can feel everybody but she just can't wake up. Right now it's about 1:30p.m. and Asia is sitting in class.

"I can't wait to graduate", Asia said.

"Only one week left", Jayla replied. "But how's Nicole?"

"Good, she's strong. She got this"

Jayla nods and smiles.

The bell rung and Jayla and Asia got their stuff together and left the class room.

"You gotta work tonight?", Jayla asked.

Asia sighed, "I lost my job. They called me this morning"

"What why? ", Jayla asked.

"Said I was tardy too much. But it's not like I been late lately", Asia said. "But I don't care, they been getting on my nerves anyway.

"Dang, I'm sorry girl", Jayla said.

Zay walks over to them. "Hey Asia", he said.

"Hey Zay", she said looking down.

"You good?", Zay asked.

"Yea", Asia looks at Jayla. "See you later girl, Josh waiting for me outside"

"Okay. Bye"

Asia walks away to head to the front of the building. She didn't have a last period because her teacher didn't require them to go since it's the last week. She saw Josh's car and got it.

Josh kisses Asia on her cheek. "Hey baby"

"Hey", she said looking out the window.

"You okay", he asked.

"I'm fine", she said with a smile. "How was your day?"

"Good", he said. "How was yours? You didn't talk to that nigga did you?"

"Nah", she answered. "But my day was boring, I'm just ready to see my little sister"

Josh told Asia to keep her distance from Zay because he thought that their relationship was too close. Besides, he didn't like Zay and he knew Zay didn't like him. Asia listened because she didn't want anything to happen to him...or her.

Later that day after seeing Nicole, Asia and Josh got something to eat at a burger place. Asia got fries with a cheeseburger and Josh got fries with a bacon double cheeseburger.

"So... what you plan on doing after you graduate?", he asked.

"Ya know, I never sat and thought about it. I have so many things going on. I mean like I used to but lately I haven't", she replied.

"Well.. what is it that you like to do?"

"I like to dance, I love music.. I don't know"

"Come on.. what's your biggest dream", he asked with a smile.

"I don't have one"

"Everybody does. Listen mine was to be a football player... but I found out I can't tackle for shit"

Asia laughed and Josh smiled because he loved to see her laugh.

"Okay, okay... I always dreamt of becoming a singer", she said.

"Singer?? You can sing?", he asked.

"Well my mama and Jayla said I always had a voice on me", she said.

"Let me hear it"

"Nah.. not in front of everybody"

"Hey, when you singing it gotta be in front of everybody anyway", she mentioned.

Asia sighed. And started singing "Could've Been" by H.E.R softly. Josh's eyes widen as he heard how good she was and sat back. Asia stopped singing.

"I'm blown away", he said.

Asia smiled.

"We gotta get you a deal", he continued.

"Nah, I can't", she said. "I just... Nah"

"Asia.. you sound crazy good. You know how much money you'll be getting?", he mentioned.

"Nobody's going to sign me and nobody no time soon", she said. "I don't even put myself out there"

"Well, we're going to start", he said as his phone started ringing. "Hello?", he answered. "You can't handle that yourself?... whatever man I'll over there", he hung up. "You ready bae?"

"I guess", she answered.

Later that night Josh finally came home around 12 a.m. Asia was sitting on the couch watching tv when he walked in. She looked at him and turned the tv off.

"I called you", she said.

"I don't feel like talking right now", he replied.

His eyes were red and smelled like straight up weed.

"You high?"

Josh looked at Asia with an attitude, "is that a problem?"

"I was just asking a question", she said.

"Don't ask me shit", he said as he walked upstairs.

"You wanna be like that?", she said as she got up. "Seriously? Cause I can go"

Josh paused and turned around, "Go? Where the fuck you gone go?",he questioned. "You ain't got shit. I'm tired of you threatening me with the shit lately."

"You really gone say that shit to me??", Asia starting putting on her shoes that were by the door as josh is walking down the stairs. "I don't need this", she said as she reached for the door.

Suddenly Josh grabs her arm and slaps her. Asia falls and hits her head on the door on the way down.

"You ain't going no fucking where!"

Asia sat on the floor crying. Josh tries to stand her up but Asia ends up trying to fight him off. Josh grabs her neck and stands her up.

"You don't wanna test me right now", he said. "Get up stairs, do you understand me??"

Asia was trying to more his hands.

"I said do you understand?", he repeated.

Asia nods.

"Alright then", he said as he let go and Asia gasps for air.

"Go upstairs", he demanded.

Asia goes upstairs and sits on the edge of the bed. Josh follows her and lays on the bed.

Asia sits there silently in tears. He couldn't believe he just did that. She couldn't believe the same guy that was so kind and sweet to her just did that.

Asia wipes her tears.

"Come in the bed", he said.

Asia sits there for a moment and crawls in the bed next to him. And he wraps his arms around her.

"I'm sorry, I didn't mean to iight? I'm just going through some shit. And to be honest you the only person I got right now", he said. "You the last person I want leaving me. I'm sorry I just snapped"

Asia didn't speak.

Josh kisses her forehead. "My mama just died".

Asia started to feel sad because she knew that feeling but at the same time she wanted to leave him. "I'm sorry for your lost", she said .

"Thank you", he said. "But when you lose some, you win some.. and I won you"

Asia didn't say anything.

"Goodnight", he said.

"Goodnight"

Suddenly Asia's phone rang and she saw that it was the hospital so she quickly answered it. "Hello?... no...no, no, no", she stood up. "What the fuck bruh! My mama, now my sister!?" She yelled. "I swear to god you doctors don't even try! All y'all want is a check!", she said as hung up the phone.

Josh looked at her.

Asia bursted into tears.

Josh was in shock because he knew the bad news, he didn't even need to ask because of the sound of that phone call. Josh got up, Come on bae", he said as he helped her up.

Asia yanked away and walked out the room.

Her and Josh went to go see Nicole, then followed Jayla and her parents and Zay and his parents.

"You sure you wanna go to school", Josh asked as he pulled up the front of the building.

"I'll be fine.. because than being home not doing anything and thinking about it", she replied with a fake smile.

"If you say so", he said. "Have a good day"

"Thanks she replied", Asia got out the car and walked in the school and stood at the door for a second. Making sure that josh was nowhere to be seen, she walked out the school and started walking down the opposite direction.

Although Asia was starting to fall in love with Josh, she didn't want to be in an abusive relationship. She remembered the moments her dad abused her own mom and her mom never looked happy and she didn't want that.

After 30 minutes of walking Asia found herself standing in front of a strip club where she stopped to text Jayla.

Suddenly a girl bumps into her and Asia looks at her.

"Ooh girl I'm sorry", she said. "You work her?" She asked.

Asia looks at the building then back at her. "No"

"Oh I was about to say. You pretty to I know you gotta be making all the money", she said.

Asia fake chuckled.

"Anyway, sorry", the girl said as she walked away.

Asia looked at the girl then at the building again and thought to herself. All night when she was thinking about leaving, she started to think about all the jobs she didn't want but was going to apply for. When he looked at the strip club, she thought about how he loved to dance and strippers dance, right? Besides, she could really use some quick money for Nicole's funeral, she wasn't planning on using Josh for it after what he did last night. Asia thought it through a couple more times and walked in the club.
