"I found five women born on that day." Julie informed August as she entered Holmes' office.

He raised his gaze from his paper, setting his pen down. "And? Names?"

"Um..." She lowered her gaze to the clipboard she held. "Haley Morris...Danielle Lewis...Arielle Parker...Alicia Hart...and um...Zoe Clark." She looked up at him when she finished reading the names.

"Wait...wait. Repeat those again." He picked up his pen and flipped to a blank page as she began to speak again. "Haley Morris...HM." He repeated each name, writing the initials. "Danielle Lewis...DL....Arielle Parker. AP. Alicia Hart. AH....Zoe Clark. ZC." He tapped his chin with his pen as he flipped through the LEO case file once more. "There's gotta be something here to connect..." He froze, his eyes going wide as he looked over at Holmes, who was taking a nap on the sofa in her office. "Them all." The last two words came out as a mumble. "A....H."

"The initials?" Julie asked.

"They're all...AH so far...the previous nine victims. And likely the tenth as well." Chresanto spoke.

*The Next Day*

"I guess so far I've been quite clear...So number 11...well I've made her disappear" Chresanto read the note found in Alicia's hand.

He raised his gaze to detective Holmes, furrowing his eyebrows.

"These are getting closer together." Holmes commented. "First...there were two within maybe a week and a half. This makes one every day for the last three days." She allowed her gaze to find August as he sat in her desk chair. "He's probably already kidnapped and killed number 11. He's playing a game. We're chasing the girls when they're already dead."

August raised an interested brow. "So maybe... maybe we find number 12 instead?" He suggested.

"How?" Holmes replied.

August rose to his feet and tucked the note into his pocket. "Let me see your notepad."

He held his hand out...awaiting the notepad to be put there. Once Holmes placed it in his palm, he reached into his right suit jacket pocket and claimed a pen.

"What do we know about every victim so far?" He asked as he clicked the pen and began to write. "All initials AH...all born in April. Dates of birth correspond with victim number. All have a chocolate complexion."  He glanced up at Holmes. "So we're looking for a beautiful chocolate colored woman born on April 12, 1994 with the initials AH...and a height of 5'5"...so...out of the many many people in LA, that's what? 2,000?" He said the last part as a joke, chuckling slightly as he raised his gaze to Holmes once more. "Where's Julie?"

Holmes shrugged. "I don't know. Why? You two spend a lot of time together."

Chresanto chuckled and raised an eyebrow. "I just need her to run a search on the data we came up with to see what possible victims could be number 12. Are you jealous Ang?"

Detective Holmes scoffed and crossed her arms. "I am not!"

"I wouldn't blame you if you were...Julie's a very beautiful woman." Chresanto smiled in a teasing manner. "You think she'd say yeah if I asked her out? Because you know, I'm looking for a relationship...a serious one." He crossed his arms. "Not just sex...but possible marriage, ya know?"

Angela rolled her eyes. "I don't know. Why don't you go ask her?"

"Maybe I will." August smirked. "I'll go look for her."

Holmes rolled her eyes again once he left the room. She knew that he was just being petty...that was what he did best...well, next to being the best detective LA had ever seen.

"He's an ass." She mumbled.

"I heard that." Was the yelled reply she earned.

"How?" She scoffed.

"My hearing is magnificent." He informed her on his way back into the room. "That's how." He winked and seated himself in her desk chair.

"Is this my office, or yours?" She asked jokingly.

He shrugged. "I do more work in here so I don't know, flip a coin or something." He replied. "Julie works fast. She got me names for April 12th, 13th, and 14th...we can get to the next three victims before he does."

"Assuming that he doesn't already have them." Holmes mumbled.

"He didn't have Adrianna Hancock the day victim number 1 was found...and that was victim number 2." August commented smartly.

"How do you know that?"

"I read the case file genius...now stop asking dumb questions. We're wasting valuable time. Help me look through these. Highlight any name with the initials AH."

"And then what?" Holmes asked as she reached for a portion of the stack and a highlighter.

"And then we look them up to see if they fit the rest of the description." August rolled his eyes. "You ask a lot of intern level questions." He told her.

"Are you calling me dumb?" She asked, looking up at him.

He sighed and looked up at her. "See?" He lowered his gaze back to his paper and began highlighting again. "I didn't call you dumb. I called your questions dumb. There is a difference. Now stop talking and highlight." He pointed his highlighter at her and flipped his first page over into the 'done' pile. Then he started on his second page.

"How do you read so fast?" Angela asked when he flipped his second sheet over a few seconds later. She was still on her first sheet.

He didn't even glance up at her as he highlighted a few names. "Angela...I swear if you ask another dumb question..."

She stared at him a moment longer.

"The papers aren't going to highlight themselves." He mumbled.

"Whatever." She lowered her gaze back to her paper and began to highlight as he chuckled and flipped over a third page.

—-

"Now what?" Holmes asked as she finished her last sheet of names.

August had finished fifteen minutes earlier, starting in part two already. He was using Holmes' desk computer to enter in the highlighted names and get photos and statistics. "Now you take all the sheets and read me the names. Scratch off anybody I tell you too."

"Aaliyah Harper." Holmes read.

"Scratch." Was the dry reply.

"Aaliyah Hayley."

"Scratch."

"Aaliyah Hemlock." Holmes read. "Let me guess, scratch?"

August shook his head. "No....keep her." He furrowed his eyebrows at the screen and then raised an eyebrow. "She's pretty." He mumbled.

Angela scoffed. "Keep going on the 12th?"

August nodded. "Yeah. Just in case there's more than one possible victim."

*Somewhere near 200 names later*

"Okay...go to the 13th. I think it's safe to say that Hemlock is victim number 12."

—-

"Okay so...victim number 12, likely Aaliyah Hemlock. Victim 13, Ariel Holcomb, Amari Hahner...or Abrielle Hartley...victim 14, Ava Hemp...or Asleigh Hunt." August reviewed the names of possible victims. "Now we just have to find them all...all 1, 2, 3 ,4 ...all 6 of them."

"And how do we do that?" Holmes asked.

"Take a wild guess Ang." He sarcastically spoke. "It's not like we can pull their data up on here or anything." He motioned to the computer he sat at. "I'm going into the private records. We need addresses...jobs, boyfriends...or girlfriends I guess because you never really know in this day and age." He shrugged.

"Alright. You search, I write."

"Good idea. You type like a turtle and my writing looks like chicken scratch." He began to type the first name. "Ooh...we've got a close one. Single as far as I can see...she lives 3 blocks away. Convenient, I'd say. Lives alone. No known family."

Holmes began to write down everything he said. "So are we gonna go to her now...just in case he's already looking for her?"

"Good idea. You're 1 for about 10 today."

"You don't have to keep belittling me." Holmes scoffed.

"And you didn't have to break my heart but here we are." He retorted. "Let's go find Hemlock."

He rose from the seat, turning off her computer monitor and taking the sheet of paper with all of the possible victims written on it.

That was when a knock sounded on her office door.

"Who is it?" She called out.

"Captain." Was the response.

Holmes' eyes went wide in fear and she glanced over at August...who even though he knew full well what was going on, acted clueless.

"Invite him in?" He suggested as a whispered question. "He knows I'm here, doesn't he?"

"Yes, of course." Angela whispered back. Yet another lie.
