I went downstairs, my heart pounding, maybe she isn't bad as she used to be? No that is impossible.

I walked to the frontdoor where mum, dad, Blake, Ryan and Lucas were there. Mum was standing close to the door and dad was standing behind Blake and Lucas, keeping both of his hands on each thier shoulders. Ryan was beside dad and I was in the far corner.

"El, why are you standing so far away?" Dad furrowed his eyebrows as he took his hands of Blake and motioned me to come to him.

Right now, I didn't want to be anywhere near the three of them. I gave him a believable fake smile and came close to him but I mainted some distance between Blake. Dad then put a arm on my shoulder and brought me closer and he kissed my forehead. "Everything alright princess?" He asked with sympathy in his eyes. I nodded as I smiled.

I could still hear the thunder rumbling outside and I could hear the raindrops harshly splatting on the ground outside.

The doorbell rang once again and mum opened it, immediately greeting my aunt May with a huge hug. "Hi!" She exclaimed a little too loudly. "Hi! Oh my gosh, you look so fit!" Aunt May pulled out of the hug and looked at mum, up and down.
"We're still outside!" Came a manly voice from outside the door. "Ah." Dad left us and went over to the door, as soon as he left I scooched over to the wall, far away from my siblings. Dad gave a hug to aunt May. "Oh my gosh Nick! You don't look a day over 45! My, my!" Aunt May complimented dad. "That's cause he isn't." I mumbled under my breath. "Haha very funny May." Dad playfully rolled his eyes.

Aunt May moved out of the way and in came my uncle James. "Nicholas!" He exclaimed as he opened his arms as dad did the same thing. "James!" She both enloped eachother in a hug. "Man, how have you been?" Uncle James smiled. "Now that you're here, better that never before!" Dad laughed as he pulled him in another hug.

"Oh my goodness, are these my nephews?" Aunt May walked over to them with a smile. Blake, Ryan and Lucas all had a friendly smile on thier face. She ruffled all of thier hairs, but she spent a little more time on Lucas's, considering he had the fluffiest, curliest, mop of hair. She then pulled each of them into a hug, starting with Blake and ending with Lucas. The four of them talked for a bit until my aunt's gaze fell on me. I was staring at the ground.

"Elainy?" My head perked up at the sound of my name. "Oh, my, oh, my!" She held her hands out and I smiled and hugged her. "Hi aunt May.". "Hello darling! How are you? Goodness I haven't seen you since you were about 11, wow you have truly blossomed into a wonderful women! She squealed as she hugged me again. "I'm great aunt May, how are you?" I smiled at her. "Oh I've never been better before!" She smiled back.

Aunt May is my dad's younger sister. She is really nice but she can be a little, let's just say, energetic. I really like her and her husband, it's just her demonic child I despise.

"Where's the little princess?" Dad smiled at my uncle.

Princess? But that's my nickname! Why is he calling her princess, I'm his princess!

"Oh she's outside, shes just a bit grumpy from the flight." My uncle chuckled.

Just then, a small little figure came from the door, Lillian.

She looked around and she greeted my parents with a hug and a smile then her eyes landed on my siblings. She had a big toothy grin the moment she laid her eyes on them. All of them smiled lovingly at her, as I stood there awkwardly. "Ahh! Ryan!" She squealed as she jumped up and down and she ran to him. He picked her up and spinned her around and hugged her, she squealed in happiness. "Hello, my little monkey." He smiled at her. "Ryan! I missed you!" She giggled. "I missed you too, monkey."

Monkey? But I am his monkey...or was his monkey.

Lucas cleared his throat with a smile before he said in British accent, like an old man. "Excuse me little girl, but have you seen my little sister? She's about eh-" Lucas raised one of his hand and placed it a little above his waist. "-yee high and she's got the prettiest amber eyes, with the cutest little dimples when she smiles or laughs.-" Lilian started to giggle when Lucas started describing her, showcasing her dimples at the same time. "-She has wavy dirty blond hair with a couple of freckles on her face, have you seen her?" Lucas gently smiled at her. She giggled as she nodded. "Oh, and where might she be?" He still used his accent. " 'M right here!" She giggled as she jumped to Lucas. "Oh my! Are you really? Are you Lillian, my munchkin?" He laughed and went back to his regular accent as Lilian giggled and cuddled into him and he held her tight.

Munchkin? That's my nickname!

"Alright alright, my turn!" Blake grinned as he opened his arms. "Blake!" She squealed as she jumped into his arm. "You smell like cake." She giggled against his shoulders as she lied her head on it. Blake broke a smile and mumbled against her hair "Well, you smell like vanilla."."That's great! You smell like cake and I smell like vanilla, so...that makes us vanilla cake!" She grinned with her teeth. "Wow, you are smart aren't you, little nugget?".

Little Nugget?! That's me! Not her! That's my name that Blake gave me when I was young! I was his little nugget since the day I was born! That's not fair! All three of them gave my nicknames away! I know I sound jealous, but I'm not! And why does she giggle so much, does she have a problem or something? And how is she smart? Anyone could've figured vanilla cake out!

"Hi..." I snapped out of my trance and looked down to see the demon herself. "Hi." I mumbled as I gave her a small smile and bent down to her level. I opened my arms and I swear for a second she looked at them disgustingly, but she regained her posture and gave me a fake smile. She put her arms around my neck as I put my arms around her waist. As soon as her hand touch my neck she pulls me towards her and squeezes them so hard, she's trying to strangle me! I push her off as I cough frantically. "El! Are you ok?! Lili, what did you do?!" My aunt and mother came over to me as I gasped for air. "Nothing mother, all I did was give her a hug." Lilian shrugged and batted her eyebrows innocently. "May, if you don't mind, would you ming getting her some water?" Mum looked at me but directed the question to my aunt. "No of course no-" before aunt May could finish, Lilian interrupted. "-no! I mean, I'll go." She gave a quick smile as she grabbed her backpack and rushed to the kitchen.

A few minutes later she came out of the kitchen with a glass of water, I was still gasping for air. My face looked like a bloody red ballon. I heard Blake mumble "Drama queen.". "Here." She gave me the glass of water, I looked at it suspiciously. "Hurry up now, drink it." Mum said. I coughed and nodded as I took a big sip.

As soon as I drank it, I spit it out and lights out.

-

I opened my eyes and grasped for air. I looked around to see my family circling around me except for my cousin and siblings, while I was on the floor. I jerked up in shock while taking deep breaths. I look around, dad was kneeling on the floor with a stethoscope hung around his neck. He had his medical kit beside him and he wore a worried and frantic expression, everyone did. "Are you ok?" Mum quickly pulled me in a tight yet warm hug. "Y-yeah I'm fine, but what happened to me?" My voice was raspy and hoarse. "You drank the water and you immediately fainted. You gave me a heart attack!" She held me even tighter. "I-i can't br-breath!" I rasped out and mum let go off me as she gave me a sympathetic smile. "The water had cyanide in it." Dad furrowed his eyebrows. "How do you know?" I asked. "I took a test. You're very lucky to be alive, how did cyanide get in your water?". "I don't know, it's not like I served myself the water." I shrugged. Then my head clicked, Lillian.

"Lillian gave me the water!" I exclaimed. "Ask her!". "Honey, be serious." Mum glared at me. "No I am! Ask her!" I exclaimed.

"Lillian! Come here!" My aunt called.
"Coming!" She sang from what I presumed to be from one of my brother's room.

She skipped down the stairs and appeared in front of us, she batted her eyelashes innocently. "Yes?" She asked sweetly.
"Darling,-" my aunt spoke up "-can you tell me what you put in that glass of water that you gave to your cousin?"
She shrugged as she smiled innocently. "Just a pinch of salt."
"I knew it! This bi-" I was about to start screaming my arse of but my mother glared at me.
"Now why would you do that?" Dad asked calmly.

Why is everyone so calm! I could've died for fu*ks sake!

"Hmm," She thought for a bit. "I read somewhere that adding a pinch of salt to water helps with chocking." She shrugged.
"Well, that pinch of "salt" was cyanide!" I yelled.
"There's no need to yell." Dad calmed me down.

There's no need to yell?! This b*tch just put fu*king cyanide in my bloody water! I could've died!

Her eyes started to tear up. Crocodile tears!
"I-i'm s-sorry, I did-didn't me-mean too." She started to hiccup.
"It's ok, thank god she didn't get hurt." Mum sighed.

Then my brother's came down, they saw Lilian crying and they ran to her. Blake immediately picked her up. "Hey bubba, are you ok?" He furrowed his eyebrows as he talked sweetly to her, while Ryan soothed her back, Lucas was caressing her cheeks.

Um hello?! Am I invisible or something?! I am on the floor and I just drank poison, and she was the one who gave it to me! You are supposed to be picking me up and caressing my cheeks!

"It's ok, mistakes happen, you're feeling better now right?" My uncle looked at me, apologizing over and over again.

"We are so sorry- hey wait-" My aunt looked at Lilian. "-where did you even get cyanide? "

Finally someone asks a logical question!

"Erm- I-" She started getting nervous, but only I could tell.

"I'm afraid that's my doing, I keep a shelf of my medicines in a cabinet in the kitchen." Dad sighed."Were you looking through my cabinet?" Dad furrowed his eyebrows, looking questioningly at Lilian.
"I-I was lo-looking f-for salt." She mumbled.
"It's ok, bubba." Blake caressed her cheeks.
"It's ok?! I could've died!" I screeched and everyone looked at me, shocked at my sudden outburst.
"Now now darling, you shouldnt talk to your cousin like that." Mum scolded me gently.
"Lili, I'd like you to apologize to your cousin." My aunt glared at her, causing her to burst even more out of tears.
"I'm s-sorry." She sniffled.
I glared at her with pure hatred and I swear, I saw her smirk a tiny bit before she continued her act. Mum then patted me on the shoulder and glared at me. 'Say something.' She mouthed.
I internally rolled my eyes and looked over at her, "It's fine." I spat. Once again mum and now dad too, glared at me. 'Nicer!' She mouthed through gritted teeth.
I sighed. "It's fine."

Suddenly a loud screeching noise came from the kitchen and mum looked very alarmed. "Oh dear!" She shot up and rushed to the kitchen. "That's my vessel!" She exclaimed her way to the kitchen. "I'll go with her." Aunt May said as she followed mum into the kitchen.

"Get up princess." Dad patted my back.
I rolled my eyes but nonetheless got up, I crossed my arms across my chest as I leaned on my dad and he put a arm on my shoulder.

"Guys! Dinners almost ready! Come sit down!" Mum yelled from the kitchen.
"Coming!" My dad and uncle said at the same time, they looked at eachother and let out chuckles.
"You guys go on, I'll go keep my kit back and I'll come." Dad smiled. He took his arm of me and made his way upstairs.
"C'mon let's go." My uncle smiled warmly at us. All of us nodded as he made his way to the dining room.

Blake put Lilian down and she giggled.
'Why does she always giggle? It's hella annoying.' She rolled her eyes.
"Oh please, tell me about it!" I nodded.

"C'mon Blakey, Ry, Lulu!" She giggled as she grabbed thier hands and tug them along with to the dining room.

Blakey? Ryan? Lulu?! Those are my nicknames that I gave them and only I can call them that! Who does she think she is?!

"Coming?" Lucas looked back at me as Lilian continued to tug on his hand.
I sighed through my nose and nodded, he gave me the tiniest smile possible and I ignored him. Walking past him and to the dining room.

I sat down with Ryan on the right side of me and my an empty seat on the left side of me, pretty sure mum is going to sit there. Lilian was sitting across me, Lucas across Ryan, and Blake across where mum is going to sit. My uncle came and sat diagonally to both Lucas and Ryan. My aunt sat on the opposite side of him, next to my mum and Blake. There was one last empty seat, preferably for dad.

"-And we can jump in too!" Lilian exclaimed about something to Blake.
"I think that's a lovely idea bubba." Blake smiled kindly at her.
"So when are you taking me?" She grinned.
"This weekend."
"Where are you guys going?" I tried to make conversation.

Lilian glared at me, a visible sneer on her face before she wore a dark smile.
"Fun-Dazzle."
"Oh." That's all I could say.

Fun-Dazzle was my favorite place when I was younger. It had special rooms, it had a room full of trampolines! The walls were even made of trampoline, there was a foam put with slides and rope courses! They have this huge inflatable basketball court which is insanely soft, and they also have a huge indoor waterpark and so much more! I loved it there so much, it was fun, but mostly because I got to spend time with my siblings, I know it sounds cheesy but we used to have alot of fun together when we were little.

"-El." Ryan sings as he snaps his fingers infront of me.
"Huh- i-?" I snapped out of my daze. Then dad came and sat down in the empty seat. He smiled at me and started to engage in a conversation with his brother-in-law.

It seemed that everybody was talking to someone, Blake was talking to Lilian, Lucas was with Ryan, dad with my uncle, my mum with my aunt in the kitchen.

'You are lonely aren't you?' She sighed.
"I am."
'Let's talk! It's not like you can do anything better than talk to me. I know, I'm amazing!' She boasts.
"Oh please, don't flatter yourself." I internally rolled my eyes.
'Watch me.'

I know I know, what you're thinking, why am I talking to my subconscious. Well, I don't know to be honest.

'Rude.'

"-El!" My mum said really loudly causing me to jump in my seat. I looked up at her as she took a seat beside me and my aunt.
"Is everything ok?" She furrowed her eyebrows in concern.
I nodded as I gave a small smile.

Mum placed a large bronze pan in the middle with a pie looking dish inside of it.
"This is Paccheri, with tomato sauce and Parmesan." Mum smiled.
"Oh wow, looks fancy." Aunt complimented mum.
"Thank you, but I'm not done yet." She made her way back to the kitchen.
She walked out, holding another large pan with, what looked like chicken in it. She placed it on the table.
"And this is Chicken Piccata with Lemon Sauce." She said as she sat down.
"Please serve yourselves,-" Mum gestured towards both of the dishes. "-My mother was half Italian. These are her recipes." She smiled warmly.
Slowly everyone started chattering among themselves, except me.

When I was a kid I was a very picky eater. I wouldn't eat anything you give me until I felt like it. My mum even told me I was in a phase where I wouldn't even eat pizza! You heard me, pizza! The only one who would get me to eat something was, Nayna...

The dishes that Nayna used to make were the ones I wouldn't even hesitate or think twice before eating, even if she gave me celery I'd eat it and I hate celery! Nayna used to make different Italian and French recipes and I'd love it. When mum said that it was my Nayna's recipes I couldn't help but judge. Nobody can compare thier food to Nayna's, nobody!

-----

"So Elainy," My aunt called out to me in the middle of dinner. I perked my head up.
"Yes?" I smiled kindly and she returned the gesture.
She held up her fork as she swallowed her bite of food, indicating me to hold on.
"You're a freshmen, right?"
"Yeah." I nodded.
She turned her head to my siblings. "You guys are seniors right?"
"Mhm." The three of them hummed and nodded in unison.

"It must be great having three older brothers looking out for you, isn't it?" My aunt turned over to me with a smile.

I stiffened at her question then I remembered not everyone knows about my failing and toxic relationship with my brothers.

I put on a strained smile and nodded. "Yeah...".

"So, do you have a boyfriend?" She asked.
"I-uh, no. No I don't." I mumbled as I gave her a small smile.

"What?!" She exclaimed causing everyone to jump in thier seats. "You don't?! Well, you must have boys lining up to be with you!"
From the corner of my eyes I saw my brother's tense up and stiffen.

I let out a brief laugh. "No. No, that's not the case either."

"Ahem." Ryan cleared his throat little to loudly. "So aunt May, how's work?" He smiled.

'He's changing the topic!' She whispered.
"Yeah he is! And I'm going to have to give you a name sooner or later."
'Sure what do you have?'
"Hmmm," I thought. "Catalina?"
'Sounds like a name a mafia lord would give her daughter.' She scoffs.
"So is that a yes-"
'-No.'
"Rude. But anyways, how about Leroy?"
'I'm not a guy.'
"Hm true, how about Kevin?"
'Again, I'm not a guy.'
"Tessa?"
'Oh geez, how cliché.' She rolled her eyes.
"Ava?"
She deadpaned. 'No.'
"Pleaseeee?" I squealed.
'No.'
"Ugh fine, how about...Luna?"
'Luna?' She asked in a confused tone.
"Luna." I nodded. "It means moon in Latin."
'I like it.' She smiled.
"Yeah me too, Luna."

Dinner ended shortly after that and everyone made thier own way. The adults made thier way to dad's study to get a drink and to catch up.
Before my mum went with my aunt, she came to me. "Darling, how are you enjoying thier company?".
I sighed as I nodded in unison. "So far so good, I guess." I shrugged.
"Oh c'mon, cheer up!"
"Yeah yeah..." I mumbled.
"Oh! I need a favor from you."
"Sure, what?" I asked.
"Can you go give Lilian a small tour of the house. She said she wanted to see it earlier. Oh and take her to the guest room, that's where she'll be sleeping tonight."
"Me?" I furrowed my eyebrows.
"Yes you! Who else would I ask?"
"Why me?!" I exclaimed."Mum, I don't know if you haven't noticed but Lilian chocked me, then proceeded to put cyanide in my water. I could've DIED!" I scoffed.
"Oh c'mon, it'll give you guys time to bond. C'mon shes your younger sister, you'll have some time with someone who's not a guy. And I'm sure it was a mistake."
"What do you mean,"not a guy"?" I crossed my arms across my chest.
She shook her head as she rolled her eyes. "I mean you have brothers and your best friend is is a boy-"
"-And is there anything wrong with that?" I furrowed my eyebrows.
"What? No, no of course not! I'm just saying that you need the company of a girl."
"I have Olivia."
"Ok let me rephrase this-" She crossed her arms over her chest. "-do it or you're
