A/N: So sorry for the very late update, my phone broke a few weeks ago and just recently I was able to purchase a new one, but then, I found out that I cannot retrieve my account. Fortunately, after about a hundred tries and a moment of breakdown, I was able to figure out the reason why - I've been entering a wrong username whenever I try to log in (face palm). LOL.

Anyways, so much for my moronic moment, here is my update, hope you'll like it.

Happy reading! ;)

The next weeks after their date was filled with smiles and contentment. The days are loaded with family interactions while the nights are consumed in between the sheets, satiating both of their hunger towards each other that never seem to stop. Fulfilling the yearning they both have, brought by years being apart.

Though happiness is clearly written on her face, at the back of her mind, a nagging feeling seems to sprout. Something that Mel brought out one day, while visiting her.

"You look happy Ellie, you're glowing." Mel said, teasing evident on her voice, which she answered with a grin.

They chatted and updated each other on what was happening with each other when Mel became somber.

"Are you really happy Ellie?" The question made her wonder why.

"I am."

"I know that you do, I can see it and I am happy for you. But there is something else and I am a bit worried."

Her brows furrowed at Mel's word, confusion may have seen at her face for Mel explained what she had said.

"Have you two talked about what happened? About the past."

"No, not yet." she answered

"You have to, before the past can caught up your future together. You must leave no stones unturned as what they say."

"Yes, I know that. But I am afraid of what he might say." She said almost in a whisper.

"Like what?" Mel asked, brows furrowing.

"That I wasn't really that important that was why he left and married someone else."

"Oh Ellie..." Mel uttered and reached out her hand.

"It bothers me Mel, eventhough we are together now."

She stood up and stared at the window, she wound her arms in her stomach before she continued.

"I feel that I cannot handle the truth and I am worried about the kids, what will they feel if everything becomes a mess?"

She felt Mel's presence beside her by the window before she heard what she said.

"Just talk to him Ellie, it will not do you both good if it will stay buried. You know how the saying goes, 'It is better to be hurt by the truth than to be comforted with a lie.'" Mel said, understanding evident in every word and she only nods her answer.

Mel's words still lingers in her mind weeks after their talk and she still cannot find the courage within her to confront and ask Ethan about it. She doesn't know how and the time is not in her favor, they are both busy - always busy. Firstly, because of orders coming into her shop plus weddings that they need to plan and Ethan have a new project so he is always away. He is coming home once a week and today is that day. They will have a break for the family's monthly get together.

"Momma, is Papa there already at grandpa and grandma's house?" Her daughter's voice flitted over.

"I'm not sure baby, why?" She asked, while looking at her daughter through the rearview mirror. They are travelling to Ethan's parents.

Ally pursed her lips, before answering. "Nothing momma, I just missed him." then she finished it with a sigh.

She just chuckled at her daughter's answer and waited for another question, but none came so she offered an additional information.

"But I already texted him that we are on our way."

"Okay, momma." Ally said with small smile.

Her eyes went to Nate's sleeping form at the backseat beside Ally and smiled as well.

Her mind drifted again to her current problem. She needs to talk to him as soon as possible, especially now, for if her instinct is to be trusted, she believes that she is carrying another baby, and this time she wanted it to be different. She wanted Ethan to be with them through the course of her pregnancy. But not like this, not until everything is settled between them.

"We're here." she declared and Ally immediately shouted with glee.

"Ally baby, wake Nate will you." She said which Ally immediately complied.

She went out of the car and opened the backseat door to help her children out. Nate is already awake by the time she helped him down. They took their bags with them and run towards the house where Alessa is waiting by the front door, while Nathan went to her after greeting the twins and helped her to carry their luggage bags but not before giving her a fatherly hug and kiss which she returned with a fond smile. Meanwhile, Alessa waited at the doorstep and engulfed her in a bear hug.

"We are glad that you are here. How's the travel?" Alessa asked.

"The travel is okay but the twins are impatient." Her answer made Alessa chuckled.

"Are the others here already?" She asked.

"Claire and Lucas already arrived about an hour ago." At Alessa's answer, a squeal was heard.

"Ellie!" She heard Claire's voice even before she saw her and was immediately smothered in a hug.

"How are you Ellie? You are blooming! I think my brother is really taking good care of you." Claire commented followed by her husband's.

"Sweetheart, give her a breather." Lucas approached them and gave her a peck on her cheek and instantly added after scrutizing her for a second.

"Hmmmm...my wife is right, you do look good."

She swatted Lucas' arm at his comment and they all sat in the living room.

"Where is Luke?" she asked while looking around.

"He is upstairs, asleep."

"Oh, I bet he made a fuss before falling asleep."

"Oh, yes, he always does. But once he heard Lucas' voice, he will immediately stop crying." Claire stared at Lucas with so much love, one that her husband reciprocated with a tender kiss on her forehead.

She is so happy for them but she cannot deny the sudden envy that blossomed in her chest. Even Alessa and Nathan still shows how great their love for each other even after all these years and she longs for that as well.

In order for her to stop those feelings, she decided to say goodbye to the couple and go upstairs with the excuse of unpacking their things.

She did the twins' first in their room then followed by her things in Ethan's old room, where they usually stay whenever they come over. After unpacking, she decided to lie down for awhile, maybe because of tiredness or the effect of her pregnancy, she didn't noticed that she felle asleep and missed the dinner altogether.

---

"Hey Zach, hurry up!" Ethan hollered at his youngest brother, impatience is already evident, but he still chose to patiently wait for Zach. He is happy that he is involving himself again with the business, months after Penny's death, and the whole family started to breath freely knowing that he is starting to move on.

He doesn't know how painful it is for him. His only comparison is when he left Ellie before, the notion of waking up in the morning without being by her side is pure torture. He cannot imagine how he might be feeling every second of every day, knowing that the woman he had been loving for so long will not be coming back, at least in his case, he knows she is alive and had hope and prayed to be able to see her and be with her again.

He took a deep breath to tampered his impatience and reminded himself that Zach is still mourning. He pasted as smile when he saw him walking towards him.

"You okay?" he asked when they were inside his car and driving towards their parents' house.

Zach only grunted in response and he let him be. He saw him playing with his necklace - a gift from Penny, and just let him be.

He took his phone when it rang, answered it and turned on the speaker. He expected his mother's voice but instead, it was his daughter's.

"Papa, are you coming here?" He smiled at Ally's sweet voice and answered.

"Yes princess, we are on our way."

"Who's with you?"

"Uncle Zach is with me." At his answer, Ally gasped before yelling.

"Hi Uncle Zach! I miss you!"

Ethan saw the smile that resembles the old Zach - before Penny died, and he had never been more thankful at his daughter's existence. He let them talk and just answer if needed be. Their conversation lasts throughout their travel and only when he parked his car that Ally said goodbye but seconds later, they saw Ally running out of the house welcoming them.

"Papa!" Ally shouted and jumped into his arms, while his son waited by the porch wearing a goofy smile.

He messed up Nate's hair before giving him a kiss and a one arm hug - since Ally refuses to be put down.

They entered the house and greeted everyone. His brows furrowed when he didn't saw Ellie.

"Where's your momma kids?" He asked.

"She is asleep Papa. She fell asleep after we arrived." Nate answered which made his forehead crinckle with so much concern.

"Have she eaten mom?"

"No, not yet. I do not want to wake her because she looks tired when they arrived." He can only nod in understanding at his mother's answer.

They had dinner and planned on what to do tomorrow for the family's monthly dinner.

---

Ethan opened his bedroom door slowly and saw Ellie sleeping peacefully making him smile. He stare at her face before deciding to take a bath first. Not minding his nakedness, he walk towards the bed and sat at the edge of it before touching her cheeks. He noticed the dark circle around her eyes but it doesn't lessen her beauty. He stayed like that for a while and kissed her lips tenderly, afraid that she might wake up. He lie on the bed slowly and wrap his arms around her, careful not to jostle her. He kissed the top of her head and whispered.

"I love you, darling."

As if Ellie knows he is the one embracing her, she changed her position and embraced him back - still asleep, he felt her kiss his chest before murmuring.

'I love you.'
