The weeks that went by had been uneventful, Ellie's routine were the same, no words yet from the fashion houses she applied for a job the previous months and she is already feeling dejected. It is not that she is not happy working at the cafe, but she needed a job with a higher income, she had a goal in mind and she doesn't want to divert her attention from it much more than breaking a promise that she did recently - letting Ethan into her life. She sighed and thought about him - again. Something that she finds herself doing most of the time these days, for the attention he is giving her since the beginning is unvarying, nor his routine, it became ordinary as time passes. Like she cannot imagine him not doing it anymore. She perked at what she thought and sat back with another sigh. She is really in deep trouble. She already fell so hard and walking away will be impossible. Turning back is not an option anymore it seems, and most importantly, changing how she feels towards him will be futile.

Her heart raced when the doorbell rang and willed herself not to run towards the door to meet the man who is constantly residing her mind. She stood up, checked herself and her outfit and unhurriedly walk to the door. They have a 'date' today - according to him and as always, he is on time.

She opened the door and she cannot stop the smile to form on her lips - she automatically reciprocated his beaming smile. She opened the door wider and he step inside offering her a bouquet of lillies which she accepted, put on a spare vase and left it at the kitchen table.

"Where are we going?" She asked him since she is really curious as to where he will bring her to. This will be her first time going on a date so she doesn't have any idea if there is a dating etiquette of sort.

"Impatient, are we?" He said with a chuckle.

She pursed her lips before answering. "Nope, just curious."

"We'll get there and you're going to love it. I assure you." He answered, his eyes twinkling. She just hummed her reply to that.

He led her into an old jeep and she admired the old vibe the jeep is giving off. She turned to him and inquired.

"Yours?" She asked while pointing at the vehicle.

His smile became sheepish, embarrassment clearly showing in his eyes. She smiled at him sweetly and said. "I love your jeep." Then hauled herself up into the passenger seat.

When she noticed him not moving an inch on his spot. She tapped the body of the jeep to catch his attention then spoke a little louder.

"What are you doing there Ethan? Come on!"

At what she did, he snapped out of his trance-like situation and jogged towards the driver side of the vehicle wearing a grin, which she return with a grin of her own.

"You never failed to surprise me darling." He commented before turning the engine on.

"Well, I am glad that I surprise you often." She said with a cheeky grin, something which made Ethan shook his head.

"Well, here we go." He said finally before they went on to their way.

They travelled outside of town for several hours with her admiring the countryside, with its green trees and fresh air. It made her divert her attention so as not to repeatedly ask the man currently driving as to where they were really going. Her patience was about to get her when she noticed that they are entering a town. She turn her head towards him, eyes questioning. He smiled at her before he answered.

"There is this one place that has a buffet for seafood, your favorite."

She gaped at him, for she cannot remember a moment wherein she told him her favorite food. At her confused and look of disbelief, he supplied an answer.

"I noticed everything about you darling, though you think I don't."

A series of questions was about to spew out of mouth when he suddenly said. "We're here. Whatever questions you have right now, I will answer all of them once we have eaten, I promise. Okay?"

At his assurance, she closed her mouth and nodded which made him smile. He then get out of the vehicle  rounded up to her side and helped her out. They walk hand in hand entering the restaurant and was seated next to a window by the waiter who informed them that they have to wait for a while since the queue at the buffet is already long. They thanked him for his assistance and then left.

She is thinking on how to open up the topic that was left open at his jeep when he beat her into it.

"You can now ask me anything while we are still waiting for our turn at the buffet."

She open and close her mouth then gape at him again - clearly at a loss about his declaration. It took her a moment to gather all her wits and formulate a question, or rather, a series of questions to him, concerning her.

"So you already know that I love seafood, how did you know that?"

"Well, you want anything with a seafood for your lunch at the cafe, though a take out, but still seafood."

"Okay. So you got that information through observation, what else did you notice?"

"Well, I know that you love mint chocolate ice cream. Your favorite color is blue, that is why you love the ocean. You love lillies, that is why I brought you one bouquet when I picked you up at your house a while ago. You love coffee so much and you like it creamy. Oh, and you hate raw onion and olives."

She gaped at him more at what he said and grimaced at the last part which made him chuckle.

The thought of him knowing more about her is somewhat scary, but in a good way - if that makes any sense, for he can clearly see through her. Though it is discomfitting for she only knows a little of him, things that he only offered to divulge.

Still lost in her thoughts, she didn't notice the waiter coming into their table to let them know that they can now go to the buffet line. Her eyes bulged at the sight of all the food served at the table. From clams  to mussels, to squid and little octopus, to crabs and shrimps that were cooked into different dishes and more, making her forget the topic that they were discussing at the table just now. She piled her plate with different dishes that she so love and went back to their table with Ethan following her having two plates brimming with food. She dig into her plate with gusto, not minding the man in front of her, whose eyes shone with so much admiration.

They went back at the table two more times before they finally call it quits and decided to leave the place. He brought her to a hill overlooking the town. They sat at the hood of his jeep which he park under a shady tree both eating their favorite ice cream - in a tub.

"So, are you still going to interrogate me about how I knew the things I knew about you?" Ethan asked in a teasing manner.

She swallowed her ice cream first before turning to face him fully.

"Yeah, about that. I am really curious as to how you knew those things. So, will you enlighten me."

"Through observation, of course. You may not notice it but my eyes always follows you."

She cringed at his answer and said jokingly. "Observing me, following my every move? Isn't it a little stalkerish kind of thing?"

Ethan gaped at what she said and place his hands at his chest and exclaimed in an exaggerated manner. "Stalkerish?! Do I look like a stalker?! You wound me darling. Really."

At his reaction, she willed herself not to show any emotion into her face and countered. "Well, physically, you don't look like one, you acted like one, though."

---

Ethan gaped more at what he heard. If it is possible for his eyes to fell out of its socket, his eyes would have been rolling off to the ground. Him, a stalker? And he is acting like one? He cannot accept that thing for it is not true. Yes, he may notice all the things about her, even the littlest and simplest of things, but he doesn't have any ill intentions towards her.

His feelings were hurt, he is sure. He was about to explain when what he saw stopped him. Ellie's eyes shines with mirth and mischief, in a poker-like face. If somebody else will look at her, they might construe that she meant what she said, but not him. He can now able to say what she is thinking and feels by simply looking deeply.

He smirked with himself then his eyes fell onto her mouth with a little bit of ice cream. A sudden thought came into his mind, and before he can think  more about it, his body immediately put it into action.

---

Ellie, is still smiling to herself, she is just teasing him when she said about him being stalkerish. Yes, anybody can doubt what she uttered for he doesn't look like it with how good-looking he is. She is still busy eating her ice cream when out of nowhere, she found Ethan's face closer than what is appropriate and a soft thing touched her lips. Her eyes widen and the realization came too late for it is already happening.

He is kissing her!
