The clock ticked with every move, your eyes constantly shifting to Kakyoin. Your ears blocked out the teachers slow words, lunch was right around the corner, you couldn't wait. Looking back at Kakyoin, as always, he was looking out the window, daydreaming.

His eyes flash a hint of orange as they catch yours in the reflection, quickly looking away. Still sneaking glances he lifts a smile, suddenly he starts getting up, you realize the bell has already rung. Kakyoin holds his hand out, "Come on, why don't you two come with me to get Jotaro." grabbing his hand you turn to (B/f), "Sure." (B/f) lifts a smile, you three open the classroom door.

Gently leading you through the halls felt comforting, occasionally, he looked back at you, each time his eyes stood out more and more. "How far is his class?" (B/f) asks with curiosity, "We're almost there." you smile, fiddling with your uniform buttons.

Kakyoin slides open the classroom door, the mysterious teenager, Jotaro, gets up from the corner of the room, eventually reaching your group. He looks in your direction, you feel his Aqua Blue eyes piercing through your soul. "Jotaro, (L/N) and their friend invited me to lunch, would you like to join?" Jotaro responds with only a mere "Hm." Kakyoin lifts a smile, "Right, where are we heading?" turning to you. "Ah! The rooftops!" He tilts his head, "Are we actually allowed up there?" (B/f) shrugs, "We have permission." He waves his hand in the air, "Usually its blocked off from the students in other schools, my mistake." You laugh it off, "Lets get going then."

Slamming the final doors open, the sun blankets your skin, you take a deep breath. "Here we are!" (B/f) skips over to the usual bench against the tall fence. You sit down next to (B/f) and pull out your lunchbox, Kakyoin sits down as well. Jotaro on the other hand, distances himself from the group, pulling out a cigarette.

Realizing he doesn't have a lighter, he whips out Star Platinum quickly, making you flinch slightly. (B/f) gives a puzzled look, you quickly turn to them and shrug it off. (B/f) gives it a moment before a sly grin spreads across their face. "What lunch do you have (L/N)?" Kakyoin asks with curiosity, opening the small box, you reveal rows of mini sandwiches and rice balls, with a side of various fruits from the garden.

"How neat! I only have some fruits for my lunch." He picks up a small cherry from the container, Jotaro glances over, he groans and looks the other way. Confused, you look back at Kakyoin, "Whats a matter with Jotaro?" he looks over, "Oh, he just doesn't like the way I eat cherries." he then pops it in his mouth. Even (B/f) was exchanging glances with you, suddenly you hear Kakyoin making strange noises, what the hell? You whip your head around to see Kakyoin dance the cherry in his mouth, you two start to laugh. Kakyoin glances over, flipping the cherry into his cheek, "What?" you smile once more at the slim boy, "Oh nothing, just caught us off guard."

He smiles, gulping it down with some water. (B/f) steals a few snacks from your lunch, you didn't mind though. Already having so much, "Would either of you like some?" gesturing to the two boys. Jotaro shrugs and looks the other way, while Kakyoin shakes his head gently. "No thank you (L/N)."

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
The sidewalk was slim, but you knew everyone could manage. Walking home with your new friend group was fun, yet, you began to feel something new, but only faint. Always in the back of your mind, each day passing by making it stronger than the last. Eventually reaching both Jotaro's, and (B/f)'s houses, you wave goodbye and exchange handshakes. Now, it was just you, and Kakyoin, the last time you thought of this sequence you where anxious about him. Now, it felt more comforting than ever, Kakyoin smiling when you talked about your life, laughing at your jokes. He was a good friend, but, you still felt like this was slightly different, very light, but noticeable.
Stopping at the gate, you look up at Kakyoin, you both stare for a couple moments. His eyes flash orange, "Well, see you tomorrow, (L/N)." he rubs the back of his neck, "Yeah, I'll see you, by the way, you can call me (Y/N)." you smile. Kakyoin is caught off guard by the sudden change, "Oh, you too, call me Noriaki." Smiling back you turn to your cozy home, brushing against the rusty gate. His warm silhouette fading in the distance, reaching the door, you slip off your shoes, and run upstairs.
Lost in your thoughts, ignoring (B/f)'s texts, you just wanted to think. Kakyoin was a friend, but he felt more warm, more distanced than everyone else, there had to be something going on. Your world seemed brighter, you weren't miserable beforehand, but rather more empty. Everything was amazing before this school year, but, it felt like not even just a piece was missing. It felt like your whole body was hollow, only to be pushed back father in to your brain. But when you met him, it was almost as if, he wasn't real.
Thoughts filled your mind for hours on end, losing track of time, you felt lost, but hopefull at the same time. You yearned for something, but didn't know what. You shift to your clock, 2:37, surprisingly, you spent all that time staring at the ceiling. Turning to the window, you force your eyes shut, and eventually drift to sleep.
I decided to give a little more depth into this chapter, dont worry, I wont write all chapters with sad moments! Just occasionally hehe
