My dearest readers.

It's your favourite author, who always updates on a regular basis

heh (sweats nervously)😅

Despite being back for only a few weeks, school has already magically managed to snow me under with multiple looming projects

Ah such is the power of the bureaucracy.

I told myself I would learn Korean this year as I have no exams, you can imagine how that's going 😂

On with the story uwu.

--------------------

"So what the heck is up with you and Tae?".

Jimin was sprawled across the bed of the guest room, where he had flopped onto as soon as he handed you dry clothes and pointed you towards the bathroom to change, and he was still there when you got back. He pursed his lips as he stared at you deeply for a minute.

"Right, you're as confused as the rest of us", he sighed.

"Don't do that, it's freaky", you mumbled in response. You still felt weirded out that Jimin could tell what you were feeling almost instantly.

He just smiled at you, widening his eyes to create an insane expression.

"Ooh, so creepy", he rasped, keeping the manic grin on his face. He was obviously trying so hard not to laugh, his lips kept twitching.

You too, were trying to suffocate the giggles attempting to escape your mouth.

How could the gorgeous, funny boy sitting in front of you possibly have been a cold-blooded killer?

You were starting to wonder was the old woman just crazy. After all, she was old, and you could imagine working in that excuse of a supermarket for long enough would drive anyone over the edge of insanity, no matter what age.

However, the dream was constantly lurking at the back of your mind, taunting you, making you feel on edge. You found yourself looking back sometimes, in fear that the girl would be there. You felt like you were being watched.

"Why are you so anxious?".

Jimin's calm question jolted you out of your thoughts. You looked at him with wide eyes, like a deer caught in headlights.

"Just thinking about the...", you floundered for an answer, "...rogue vampire".

He seemed to buy it, as his face softened and his shoulders relaxed.

"Don't worry about him", he replied. "Majority of us are too protective of you to ever let harm come to you now". He sat up and slid off the bed in one fluid movement so he was standing directly in front of you.

"Who are you y/n, to have such a spell on so many of us so quickly", he stared into your eyes so deeply that you felt that he was ripping your soul apart at the seams.

"Because the truth is", he never broke his gaze. "Taehyung is crazy jealous over you, and he's not the only one, the others are just better at hiding it".

You were frozen, you couldn't move. You were holding your breath in anticipation and fear of what Jimin was possibly going to say next.

"It's funny, to watch him come apart for the first time in generations, I haven't seen him lose his composure like this since the fire-", he cut himself off abruptly, his eyes momentarily enlarging in shock, he clearly didn't mean to say that.

"What fire?", you whispered. Maybe Jimin would give you some answers.

Instead his hand grabbed the back of your head, tangling in your hair, and yanked you forward, so his lips were at your ear.

"Listen to me", he whispered roughly. "Don't ever mention the fire. Ever. Especially around Taehyung and Yoongi".

He drew back to stare at you. His eyes had become dark and threatening, and you found yourself shrinking back in fear from him. His pupils had dilated, leaving a thin ring of dark bloody red at the edge. He snarled at you, his fangs on full display.

He appeared to have completely lost control.

He looked like a vampire.

"Do I make myself clear doll", even his voice was dark, like twisted metal and ice. He took one menacing step towards you.

You nodded slowly, you were pretty sure your face was drained of blood at this stage.

You had never felt more unsafe in your life. You were terrified.

Please, you begged in your head.

Get me away from him.

"Good", his voice never lost his cold tone as a twisted smile grew across his face. He leaned forward to brush lips across your neck before he disappeared.

You wanted to cry. You wanted to leave.

You ran to the window and looked out.

Their house was built into a hill, and because the room you were in was at the back, you were only about two metres from the ground, despite technically being on the second floor.

You climbed out and jumped without hesitation

And you started running.

The adrenaline was pouring through your veins, igniting your fight or flight instinct, more so the flight part.

You weren't really aware of your surroundings as you ran, the tears in your eyes made everything blurry.

There's something from their past, that haunts them every day.

And I'm sure as hell going to find out what the fuck it is.

uh what do ya think?

They have their dark sides oooOO

I love reading comments, and may have laughed at them in places where I shouldn't be laughing 😅
