Anyone else cry reading fanfic? Because I just finished one, and legitimately burst into tears.

-----------

Hoseok and Jungkook sat up when they heard the front door open. After squeezing your hands, they quickly left to go downstairs.

You could hear light whispers and several muffled gasps, before the sound of a pair of footsteps filled your eardrums. You weren't sure who it was, and your heart started to thrum lightly from nerves.

You were very surprised to see Yoongi slip through the door.

Like Hoseok, he looked tired. He silently took a seat beside your bed. You watched him warily.

He sat there for a few minutes, before clearing his throat awkwardly.

"We knew Eunha though family connections", he said quietly, without any sort of preemptive. "She was always around in a sense, but it wasn't until we were older, and had officially stopped ageing, that we began to get truly close.

I had always been with the other six, I had watched them grow up, we had only ever needed each other. So it was a surprise when she suddenly entered our lives, when we had only ever known her from being at awkward gatherings.

"She was so beautiful", his voice cracked slightly. "Not just in appearance, but she was so feisty, and joyful, and alive. We were all under her spell, we loved her, and she loved us. She never said it out loud, but I think Tae and I were her favourites, perhaps because we're the most powerful".

That intrigued you. You had no idea what Yoongi could do.

"It was good, we shared, we all loved each other. We inherited the castle, and of course we took her with us, there was no doubt we were going to stay with each other forever.

"Of course, in the backs of our minds, we knew she wasn't like us, she was human, albeit a powerful one, bearing in mind her blood but still, she wasn't going to live forever.

"We pushed the thought away, saying we'd cross that bridge when we came to it. But she wouldn't. She constantly pushed us to turn her, but none of us were willing at the time. There's so much that can go wrong, and we were still young, and relatively inexperienced", he glanced at you. "They've never talked to you about turning have they?".

You shook your head, and he hummed to himself.

"It's a story for another time, but let's just say it's not very desirable", he shrugged and continued. "Anyway, she wouldn't let the subject go. We were starting to tire of it slightly, but we could understand. If she died, we'd still have each other, whereas from her point of view, she would lose all of us". He shivered, and his eyes clouded.

"She started to accuse us of no longer loving her, that we were planning to throw her away. It broke our hearts, but still none of us dared to go through with the turning, we were too afraid of losing her in the process.

"She became convinced that we were cheating on her. It started with Jungkook helping a housemaid who dropped a glass, he picked up the pieces for her, and licked her hand to heal the cuts from the shards. When Eunha heard, she was furious. The housemaid left a week later". He looked at you sadly. "Her descendant works in that shop you work in".

The old lady? Who warned you.

"Jungkook always buys banana milk from that shop and tips her so she has money", he remarked. "She doesn't know it's him, she distrusts us, but he feels so guilty of putting her family member out of a job, that he does it in disguise. She calls him the strange boy in the bucket hat".

You snorted softly at that. It was typical Jungkook.

"Eunha became more and more paranoid, she hated anyone who even talked to us. We were rather confused at how many staff were leaving, when we had just been happily interacting with them the day before. Turns out it was the interacting", he sighed.

"We found out later on that some of them had been mysteriously murdered or had simply vanished without a trace barely days after they had quit.

"But then", his hands balled into fists, his knuckles straining white underneath his skin. "She started to target Dae-in.

"She had moved in with us a few months previously. She didn't want to intrude on us, but we insisted she stay, she was the sister of our beloved after all. We saw her as our sister, and loved her as such. Eunha didn't see that though", he bit his lip.

"We had completely failed to realise", he confessed. "But she had fallen in love and became pregnant with the child of one of our gardeners, his name was Taemin", his breath hitched. "He was a good person, we were friends to some extent. But anyway", he inhaled deeply, rubbing his eyes quickly.

"Jimin had sussed something was up with her, her emotions were all over the place, so he asked Taehyung to investigate, because he was genuinely concerned, as was Taehyung, when Jimin came to him.

He caught her alone one day, and asked her what was wrong. She refused to tell him, but he just persuaded her of course, Taehyung has no concept of personal space when it comes to someone's thoughts, I'm sure you've realised that by now".

You pursed your lips, you most certainly had.

"She cracked naturally, and told him everything. Tae comforted her, told her it was going to be alright.

"Eunha came across him embracing her, and that flipped a switch".

Yoongi's eyes filled with agony.

"I saw the book in your house, you know what happened to her afterwards, I'm sure", he cast his eyes downward, no longer able to meet your gaze.

"I found out a week later she had also arranged the.... disposal of my cousin who I was good friends with, and one of Jin's childhood friends, both female of course. At that point we realised that she was completely insane, we cast her into a prison, where she should never have been able to escape. I don't know how she did, I don't want to know. We should have destroyed her fully, but we couldn't bring ourselves to, we were hurting so much, but we still loved her. But she's gone for good, I made sure of that. She won't hurt you anymore".

"What did you do?", you whispered timidly.

"I used my gift", he mumbled. "I can take over a person's soul".

That took you by surprise.

"Sounds crazy right", for the first time ever, Yoongi gave you a small smile. Not quite the one you had seen in your dream, but definitely there, and definitely directed at you.

"So basically I can destroy them from the inside. Only thing is, I feel every inch of what they're feeling when I'm doing it, so I could feel every ounce of pain that she felt when she died, and it wasn't pretty, it took all of my energy to take her down". He relaxed back, a slightly amused expression taking over his face.

"I have never received such a scolding from Jin, because I technically almost killed myself", his expression became more serious. "But even if I did die, it would be worth it", he told you simply, without any sadness or regret. "Because now she's gone, and we felt like we could finally breathe, or well, to a certain extent, because we weren't sure whether you were gonna live", he looked at you happily. "But you're a fighter, that's for damn sure".

He leaned forward, his face now guilty.

"I am sorry", he whispered, looking straight into your eyes. "I was a total dick to you, I didn't trust you after all that happened, even after all this time. You were such a good person, and I found it difficult to believe your intentions were nothing but innocent, because how could someone want nothing from us, people always want something. So I closed myself off, and treated you like shit, hell I fucking slapped you. I even regretted doing that when I still didn't like you".

You winced at the memory.

"I'm sorry", he murmured again, and stood up. You tried to open your mouth, but nothing came out.

He leaned down and patted your head.

"You don't have to say anything", he said softly. "You don't have to say anything to any of us until your ready, kay? It's ok to think, you need to think".

His words were a like a weight off your shoulders, he was right. You needed to think about everything.

"If you have questions", he hummed. "Don't be afraid to ask, you deserve all the answers you want sweetheart".

With that he straightened up and padded softly out the door.

I'd like to say that I'm spending the isolation period being productive, but I've honestly just been sleeping and eating pot noodles for five days.
