Colet's POV:

I'm busy talking to Jhoanna over the phone when I noticed my cousin just flipping her book of cases while frowning.

"Babe, I'll call you later. I'll just talk to Aiah." I said.

"Okay, baby. I love you!" she replied cheerfully.

"I love you!" and ended the call.

I walk towards Aiah. She kept flipping the books, mind seems to be thinking a lot of stuffs. She didn't notice that I'm beside her already.

"Hey! You good?" I worriedly asked her.

"Oh fucking MIKHA LIM!" she yelled out of shock and threw her book to me. I laughed at her reaction. "What the hell? You startled me." She complained. I took the sit in front of her and look at her seriously.

"Spill." I gently said.

"Spill what?" she pretended like nothings going on with her. I didn't respond. I just waited for her to finally say something.

She massaged her temple, her habit when something's bothering her. She opened her mouth but failed to utter a word.

"What's with Mikha Lim?" I asked. I guess my question took her by surprise. She looked tensed and she stared seriously at me. Her hand found its way around my shoulder.

"I'm in love with Mikha." she said. I didn't answer. I waited for her to continue and give me further explanation. "Remember when our family went to Canada for vacation? I told you I accidentally pinched someone's butt because I thought it was you." She sighed.

"And I'm guessing it was Mikhs?" I asked, laughing because of what she confessed. She rolled her eyes and continued.

"She was fuming mad that time but for me, it was the best day of my life. It was love first sight, Col." her voice is weak.

"And?" I asked again.

"She's the reason why I transferred way back in high school. I tried to talk to her but she refuses to interact with me. Gosh! I really love her, I don't know what to do." Aiah looked down and played with her fingertips.

"How did you approached her?" I asked.

"I called her last night. She told me I'm not allowed to call her 'Miks' because we're not friends." She frustratedly said.

"And what did you call her instead?" I looked into her eyes and saw how much pain she's going through right now. Poor Aiah.

"Baby ko." she said, almost a whisper.

"What the hell!?" I wasn't able to react because of the secondhand embarrassment.

"I'll stop pestering her for now." her voice is now shaky so I stood up and gave her a hug.

I've always admired Aiah. How she handles things and try to make things better for her family and friends.

She's the one who remained strong during the time I was facing the biggest test in my life. When Jhoanna left without any word she's the one who never stopped hoping that soon Jhoanna will come back and things will soon fall in their right places.

When everything was falling apart for all of us she became the liaison who kept us together. Me and my friends.

Those are the few things why I look up to her.

"Do you think it's worth it? I mean, you making a move to her?" I asked.

"Yes." she truthfully answered.

"When did you realize you wanted to take the risk on my best friend?" I'm still hugging her.

"Midnight in December."
