Colet's POV

We went home that night with big smiles. Jhoanna sneaked inside their house while I was standing in front of their gate, smiling like a total idiot, waiting for her to wave at her window.

I never felt this way before.

Our friends noticed us getting closer together.

Just like earlier when I went to Jhoanna's classroom to lend her my calculator. Mikha saw us talking and of course, Mikha being Mikha, she immediately told the news to Maloi and Sheena.

"What's the score between you and your crush, Colet?" Sheena said, trying to be serious. Trying to interrogate me.

"Nun." I smirked.

"Nun, what?" Maloi butted in, looking serious too. All eyes are on me.

"Nun of your business." I laughed but they're still looking at me. I just shrugged off my shoulders and went back to my seat.

Hanging out after our training became our daily routine. The school gate became our meeting place.

"Hi! How's your training?" I said as I approached her and gave her a bottled water. She, then, smiled at me.

"I did well! Our coach complimented me awhile ago." She said, with a tone of excitement in her voice.

"Uhh, what's our plan today?" I questioned. We agreed that we will take turns in planning our hang out after our training. We can go to other places, eat out, try something new, or study. Depending on our schedule and time. She needs to be home by 9:30 so that her parents won't scold her.

"Let's watch sunset! I'll text Mang Rudy." she replied. My system went wild. I once told her I'm a fond of sunsets. And that was the time when I knew that we shared the same interests.

After an hour, we are now looking at the sun going down. The place is calm, the view is perfect, and I'm with the person who makes my heart skip a beat.

"So, why do you love sunset?" she asked while looking at the view in front of us.

"Well, watching it is relaxing. If you try to go beyond the physical appearance of it, sunsets for me means, a promise for a better tomorrow. Like, if you're going through something today, sunsets will remind you that this too, shall pass." I answered.

"How about you?" I added.

She looked at me and answered, "Three words. Endings, Change, and Transformation."
I, then, smiled as we enjoyed watching sunset.

After watching the sunset, we went to shakey's to take out mojos and milkshakes. I will just text Kuya Mike to fetch me at Jhoanna's house.

While walking our way to her car, I see bunch of teenagers staring at us. Jhoanna probably noticed it, so, she held my hand and rolled her eyes to the teenagers.

I was about to laugh at her gesture but she looked at me and raised her left eyebrow. I looked at her apologetically. Okay, boss, I'm sorry.

While we're on our way to their house, the rain poured. Oh fuck, how am I going to wait for kuya Mike?

"We're here!" announced by Jhoanna. "Let's go inside while waiting for your driver?" she added. I nodded. We left our things inside the car and ran in the pouring rain.

We're in the middle of their garden when she stopped. "You know what? Let's just bathe in the rain." she said, looking excited with her idea. Who am I to refuse? So, I agreed and enjoyed the moment.

Jhoanna, I never knew heavenly bodies can make home in people's eyes till I met you. Your eyes look like they have all the stars and planets and satellites and comets and asteroids and meteors. Mad every celestial body that existed and will exist i can see the entirety of the universe in your eyes.

It looks beautiful.

I held her hand and closed my eyes, I started singing.

Gusto kitang makasama buong gabi
Nakahigang nakaharap sa mga bituin
Hinihintay ang kinabukasan
Tayong dalawa lang sa istoryang ito

I open my eyes. She's looking straight to my eyes too. We both smiled. This moment is too precious to interrupt.

"JHOANNA CHRISTINE ROBLES! What are you guys doing!?" we heard a voice coming from their huge door. I look at where the voice is coming from and saw mid 40's handsome man staring at us.

"Hi Dad! This is my friend, Colet." Jhoanna uttered.

Damn!

I borrowed Jhoanna's clothes and went downstairs after I showered. I'm with her dad now in their huge living room while she's still in her room, probably still taking a bath. I found myself in an awkward situation. I gulped when her dad started talking.

"Colet, right?" he asked.

I nodded my head and answered, "Yes, Mr. Robles"

"I'll be straightforward here, do you like my daughter?" he questioned while seriously looking at me.

He's patiently waiting for my answer while it took me minutes to process everything. I can't lie to him, especially when it comes to my feelings towards her daughter. I gotta pull myself together.

"I don't meant to scare you, child. I have nothing against it, just tell me the truth. I saw how you look at her awhile ago." he added with a half smile.

"Sir, it took me days to finally realized that I've fallen hard for your daughter. I mean, who wouldn't fall for her? She's kind, smart, understanding, mature, fun, talented, and beautiful." I said, he remained silent so I continued.

"Sir, my intention is pure. I don't have dirty thoughts or something." I added.

"What's your plan, then? Are you going to pursue her?" he challenged me. I honestly thought about that and I knew my answer already.

"I have plans sir, just not right now. We're still young and we still have dreams to look forward to. For now, I just want to be the best version of myself so that in the near future, I'll be able to deserve your daughter. She's the best thing that ever happened to me, sir." I said, wholeheartedly. I looked down after saying it to him.

I, then, felt a tap on my shoulder. I look up and saw him smiling at me. After awhile, Jhoanna went downstairs wearing pink pajamas. Cute.

"Calm down, hija!" Mr. Robles whispered. Oh, fuck! Was I'm that obvious?

"What did you guys talked about?" She asked curiously. I look at her dad and saw him looking at me too, with a wide smile.

"Nothing. Let's eat dinner, shall we?" he said.

While eating, her dad loosened up a bit and became energetic.

"Hija, by any chance, are you related to Doc Clinton Vergara and Doctora Denise Vergara of Vergara Medical Hospital?" he suddenly asked.

"Uh, they are my parents, sir." I said, I saw Jhoanna look shocked. Well, I haven't told her yet about my family.

"Really? Do you have plans on following their footsteps?" he questioned. I shook my head.

"No, sir. I'll pursue architecture in college." I smiled.

We continued eating. Jhoanna, then, made an announcement.

"Dad, I have something to tell you." She said.

"Aren't we going to wait for your mom?" Mr. Robles asked

"I'll just tell her later." She replied, Mr. Robles nodded, indicating a go signal for Jhoanna.

"Dad, I got an invitation from Star Hunt Academy, a school where we will going to train to be an idol. Dad, this is my dream!" she added. Mr. Robles smiled and went to her daughter, he kissed her on her forehead.

"I'm proud of you, my love." he gently said.

"When are you planning to go to that academy?" He asked.

"Next year dad, I have to stop schooling." Jhoanna told him as she glanced at me. A hint of sadness plastered to her smile.

"Alright, then, your mom and I will support you." Mr. Robles smiled.

After dinner, I heard a beeping sound indicating that kuya Mike is already here. I stand up and will bid my goodbye to Mr. Robles.

"I'll go ahead, Sir. Thank you for the dinner." I respectfully said. He, then, smiled at me.

"You're welcome. And Colet, just call me Tito Boyet."
