Light entered on the narrowest corners of my eyes as I opened them and saw that weak rays of sunlight crept through the window.

"Stephanie?" Someone called. I slowly opened my eyes completely and saw no one around my room. My eyes widened and an instantaneous panic took over me.

"God?" I asked, looking up. I was sure I was going mad. Why would God talk to me? Was I going mad?

"You don't have to call me god, S. Tyler The Hot one is alright," Tyler said, walking out of my bathroom. I widened my eyes as soon as I saw him.

He was shirtless, his hair was messy and he wore only a pair of shorts. I felt my cheeks burning up the moment I saw him.

"Very funny," I snapped. "But what the heck are you doing here?" I asked. "I could be naked or something," I said, placing a hand on my hip.

"You should know that entering your room anytime I want was the perks of having the irresistible Tyler Scott as a best friend," He smirked. "And, S?" He asked, walking up to me.

"Yeah?" I asked, gulping for a moment.

"Your hair looks like Mount Kilimanjaro erupted on it." He smirked and I swatted him in his arm.

"Oh, shut up," I said, noticing that he still hadn't done his hair. Tyler loved something with all his heart and his mind, and that was his hair. He would spend the same amount of time fixing it that I would spend dressing for a fancy ball. He was obsessed about it.

But revenge would come. Oh, it would come.

"Put some clothes on, Scott. This is not a nudist beach." I growled.

He smirked and walked closer to me.

"Why, Stephanie? Do I make you nervous?" He whispered in my ear. I gulped at his words.

"N-No, of course not." I stammered.

"You look horrible, S." Tyler mocked, putting back his shirt on.

"Shut up. Now how did my mom let you in here?" I asked, raising an eyebrow up.

"Oh, you're still asking me this? It's your mom we're talking about! She loves me!" He exclaimed, rolling his eyes and taking his shirt off once more.

I tried my best not to fixate my gaze on his naked torso. I averted my sight to his face instead.

"Now come on, piggy. Take a shower and we'll go since now is the only day we can hang out for the rest of the week." He said, crossing both his feet together.

I nodded in reply. We were going to catch up that day since Tyler got in the football team and his coach didn't let him skip practice to hang out with me and Tyler was doing extra practice so he could get to be a quarterback. His main goal was to be quarterback until the end of the year.

I walked to my bathroom and locked the door. Lazily, I washed my face, brushed my teeth and stripped off my clothes. I went over to the shower and turned it on. Cold water cascaded down my back, making my skin shiver at the instant and shocking cold. After I was done, I wrapped myself up in a towel. I dried my body and put on a pair of high-waisted studded shorts, a black Pink Floyd blouse, and some beige flat sandals.

I walked out of the bathroom and Tyler was sprawled all over my bed. Once more. I was already used to that type of scene.

"I'm ready," I announced, getting the hairbrush from the top of my drawer and with it, brushing my hair.

"And I'm not. I'm tired." He simply said.

"But you're going with me, you douche," I growled, swatting him in the face.

"Okay, so where do you wanna go, babe?" He asked, wiggling his eyebrows up in a perverted way.

"Oh, stop it, will you. I don't even know how girls fall for that," I muttered under my breath, even though I knew I was one of them.

"Well, keep wondering because they fall right at me," He smirked, proudly folding his arms against his chest.

"They must have IQ's low enough to trip on," I whispered and he flicked me in the forehead.I was totally playing myself.

"Okay, S. So where do you wanna go today?" Tyler asked, running his hands through his hair in order to fix it. But there was no need for him to do that. If only he knew that all of the money guys spent on beauty products would be effortless on him. Tyler was gorgeous without even trying to be.

"Uh, I don't know... The mall sounds good?" I more asked that answered.

"The mall?" He questioned in a not so animated tone.

"Yeah, I need to go shopping also." I smiled.

"No, Steph. Anywhere, but not the mall, please." He whined.

But I wasn't letting him out of his misery that easily.

"No, we're going to the mall, loser." I faked a sickeningly sweet smile.

"You are so lucky that you can blackmail me," He huffed, crossing his arms against his chest defensively.

"Yeah, good boy. You wouldn't want the whole school to see a picture of both of us taking a shower together naked when we were four, right?" I asked sardonically, raising an eyebrow up.

"You are so, so bad, S. Using an innocent little picture to blackmail your best friend." Tyler pouted and shook his head negatively as if he was talking to a child.

He knew I didn't care about me in the picture. I actually did look cute, for once and my whole body was covered on water.

"Oh, no, Ty. You haven't even seen bad." I smirked and he let out a whine.

"Did you forget that I have a picture of you when you got your mom's tampon from her bag and put it on your nostrils because you thought they were made to stop the nose from bleeding?" I asked, smiling wickedly at him.

"Or that other time that Jayden Payne pulled your shorts down and so your white butt was visible to the whole class?" I laughed at his misery.

"Or when--" I was about to finish talking when he cut me off.

"Argh," he growled. "Okay, okay, fine. You win, sucker. Just so you know, I won't shop with you when you need to buy... Girl stuff..." he muttered in a low tone and his cheeks flushed quickly. I laughed at him.

There was this one time that I needed to buy some pads and Tyler went with me to the store in the mall. He started pestering and ended up putting a pad behind his ear. That was the moment that the quarterback of our school saw him there and started laughing like if someone told him that lasagna and pizza were gross.

"I don't know about that yet," I smirked. "But I'll let you know about it." I laughed.

"Come on, let's go, little pest." he snickered, grabbing me by my neck and leading me downstairs.

We ended up eating some leftover frozen pizza from the day before for a small snack and soon enough, we were already at the car driving to the mall. Some minutes later, we had arriver on our destination.

"Okay, so we're here already," He announced, running his hands through his hair.

"Yeah, and I need to buy a dress," I muttered.

On the first moment, it didn't look like he had just heard what I said. But then he looked closer to me and saw that my cheeks were flushed probably.

"OH MY GOODNESS!" he cried in an exaggerated tone. "Stephanie Olsen is gonna buy a dress! Take me, Lord, because I have lived enough to share this once in a lifetime scene!" He shouted, earning weird looks from the people around us.

"Shut up, weirdo!"I exclaimed. "I just need a dress for my cousin's wedding. Trust me, if I could I'd wear a pair of jeans jeans and an All-Star." I pouted.

"Awn, my little Steph is finally growing up!" He cooed, giving me a peck on the cheek.

"Stop with the harassing. People are staring." I growled.

"Okay, then come on, S. We gotta find you a dress," He smirked.

We entered a feminine store and guess what? They could be only described in one word and one word only.

Pink. Freaking pink. That made me want to return back to the bathroom and throw up.

"No, this isn't happening," I said, my eyes widened in fear.

Yeah, pink made me scared.

"Oh, S. I think it's finally time you overcame your fears, don't you think?" Tyler questioned in a mocking tone.

"Shut up, dudu plop." I rolled my eyes.

After a while, I finally agreed to go to that store, but I wouldn't buy anything pink and Tyler would have to owe me a McFlurry.

My eyes sparkled as soon as I saw some black dresses. I was more of a girl who liked long dresses, but no, the weird Tyler demanded me to try on a sparkly metallic fluff bandeau mini dress. At first, I denied, denied and denied. But then he told me he'd buy me a pizza, and then I just couldn't reject his offer.

It was food, duh. One day, you, my friend, will understand what I mean.

Hesitating, I grabbed the dress from his hands and entered the dressing room. As soon as I got there, I took off my clothes and put the dress on.

The lustrous fabric of the dress glinted as I adjusted it on my body. Somehow, it managed to show some of the curves I never thought I had. It molded into my torso perfectly, just like it was made especially for me. It revealed some of my collarbones, that was most of the time, never exposed. It went one palm up my knee. I didn't know exactly how I felt about it. I felt good in a dress, for the first time of my life. But I was scared of going out like that since I never wore a dress. People would think I was only wanting to call attention or something.

"Come on out, S. I wanna see how it fits on you," Tyler called me.

Slowly and shyly I walked out of the dressing room.

"Hey, S. Look it isn't--," Tyler said, not looking at me directly. He was looking at the price of some other dresses and didn't see me.

That was until his gaze turned to me.

Instantly, he stopped what he doing and stared. His mouth was slightly open and his eyes were widened.

"Holy shit, Stephanie," He whispered more to himself than to me.

"Is it that bad? Yeah, I knew it wasn't gonna stay good on me..." I muttered, turning my back to him and returning to the dressing room.

"Wait," Tyler said. I stopped walking and turned to face him.

"What?" I asked.

"S, you look... gorgeous..." Tyler whispered.

My heart started pounding in my chest. Butterflies erupted in my stomach, growing by each passing second.

"R-Really?" I stammered.

"Holy shit, S. You look... so damn gorgeous." he mumbled, scratching the back of his neck.

"S-So should I b-buy it?" I questioned.

"What? No!" He exclaimed almost automatically. "Are you kidding? No! This dress... This dress shows way too much skin..." He rambled.

"Really?" I questioned. "I actually like it," I said.

"No, no, no. You won't wear this. I won't let my best friend earn stares from other... Creepy guys..." he whispered.

"I think I'll buy it," I said hesitantly.

"Just go and change, S," He said, scratching the back of his neck.

"Argh, okay," I growled.

I went back to the dressing room and changed myself. When I was already with my clothes on, I left to where Tyler was sitting down. I laughed at the thought of how he was the only boy at the store.

I walked up to where he was, but he wasn't there. I searched for him everywhere. But he was nowhere to be found.

I heard some voices coming from the dressing room. That was until I caught sight of what was happening.

Laurel freaking Harper.

She was with her back completely exposed and Tyler was zipping her freaking dress.

I could feel my blood boil at the sight.

If she wanted war, then that's what she would get. War.
