I asked mom why she was acting the way she was yesterday. She told me she didn't sympathize with Cameron. If she really thinks I'm gonna stop seeing him only because of her opinion, she's dead wrong.

"He's not right for you," She told me while she cooked. "You can do much better than him, Stephanie. I don't like the way this boy behaved here. He even watches explicit pornography in that pathetic high school movie that only mentions sex." She complained.

"He had never seen the movie! He didn't know what it was about!" I tried to defend him.

"Of course he did!" She snapped back.

I rolled my eyes. "You already have someone much better that's almost begging to be with you, but you just choose the worst option, as always!" She exclaimed.

"What are you even talking about?" I asked her.

"Tyler, silly! His mother told me he has developed a crush on you," She told me. The words coming out from her mouth sounded ridiculous.

"Mother, please, cut the lies. I will keep seeing Cameron whether you like it or not," I shot back.

She just kept quiet. "You're the only one who doesn't see it, Stephanie. But when you finally do, you won't think twice before changing your opinion about this boy." She said and that was when I left the room.
