September 5, 10:24 pm.

Cameron came over to my house to meet my parent officially. The truth is that he had a great start. Dad really takes this kind of stuff seriously, like when Bella, my sister, started dating Zach, he wanted to do this dinner to meet him.

He came over at like 6:00 pm. He brought flowers and an Italian dish cause I told him that it'd impress my mom. He rang the doorbell and my dad opened the door. I didn't see that my dad opened the door, so I didn't really cared that much. But when I saw the six unread texts on my phone, I kind of freaked out.

Cameron: Steph, your dad just opened the door. I'm telling him I'm texting my mom.

Cameron: He's staring at me and it's freaking me out. SMA please.

Cameron: He's been staring at me for the past two minutes!

Cameron: He wants to take me out to talk. I might not make it to your house alive.

Cameron: S!!!! SMA!!!

I laughed as soon as I read those messages. Instead of writing SOS like the Pretty Little Liars do to each other, he writes SMA, which means Save My Ass.

I walked outside and dad was talking to Cameron. I walked closer.

"I just want to know what are your intentions with my daughter?" My dad asked.

I hid behind a small bush so they couldn't see me.

"They are the best," He told dad. "Trust me, sir. I want nothing else than your daughter to be happy. And I wanna be the one to make her happy. And if one day, she thinks that I'm not worth her time anymore, I'll leave her. I won't blame her. I might be what she's needing now, but if one day, she says it's not working anymore, I'll leave. For good. But that day will only come when I hear the words coming from her mouth." Cameron told my dad.

I felt all weird inside. Why did he think I'd ask him to leave? Did he want to leave?

"Okay, that's good to hear." Dad said with a straight face and pursed his lips together. Cameron let a sigh out of relief.

"But," dad continued. Cameron discretely sighed. "If I ever see my daughter crying for you, I have a k-46 and a shovel. And to add, we don't use our backyard. I'm sure no one would ever suspect you'd be there. Buried and dead." Dad said and I laughed.

Cameron nodded awkwardly and walked back to the house. I crept silently through the back door so he couldn't see I was eavesdropping him.

We got in the house and mom served dinner. Mom wasn't smiling and she was just faking a couple of small grins. Things got worse when Cameron was walking to the bathroom and accidentally dropped mom's vase. The vase she got in Greece when she went in the holidays last year.

She let out a yell and started getting the crumbled pieces. I tried to glare at her to stop with her drama but she just started saying how a rare piece of art it was and how she'd never be able to get one like that one back.

Cameron's face was completely red of embarrassment. He kept saying sorry nonstop and how he would pay ten times more and that he could even call his aunt that lived in Italy to go to Greece and buy another one.

Mom just collected the pieces, threw them away and told him that it was alright. She didn't even smile, just said she was tired and needed to rest. I wanted to hide my face in embarrassment of her, because she was acting like a child.

All Cameron wanted to do was leave and never come back anymore, but dad decided we should watch a movie. And he wanted Cameron to choose.

Cameron said he didn't watch movies, but dad insisted he'd choose one. He answered that he had heard from a friend one and we should watch it. He logged in on his Netflix and put on the best movie for that occasion.

American Pie.

Cameron had never watched it. He didn't know what it was about. His cousin had told him to watch that movie, but he didn't have any time.

On the first moment that the movie was playing, Cameron gulped. He mouthed to me to stop the movie, but that insisted it kept playing. It was weird enough watching that movie with Cameron, but it was even weirder with my dad there. I got up from my seat and went to the bathroom. Cameron glared at me and I mouthed him a sorry.

When I got back from the bathroom, dad was in the couch reading. There was no sign of Cameron.

I asked dad where was he. He just told me he had gone back home for good.

Damn vase.

Damn American Pie and all of its sex crazed teenagers.

Damn my luck that never works.
