Hey everyone! I figured after all this time some people might still appreciate some bonus I have written since I wrote this story ten years ago! :-)

Below a scene that fits right into the story. If it's been a while since you read it you might want to read chapter five again before you read this. :-D

Much love,

I slipped out of my bedroom and knocked on my sisters door softly, I knew she was awake and this was proven when the door swung open immediately. Missy stood on the other side, dressed in thick flannel pajamas, her hair in two braids. I just had to smile, she looked so young that way that I could clearly envision the way she'd been as a little girl.

Missy just nodded and preceded me out in to the hall, taking the stairs to get to the living room. "What is it Jake?" she asked once there and her voice was a little husky, she'd been crying. "Come here deirfiúr og," I told her, tugging her into an embrace.

"You know it wasn't your fault what happened, there were two guards outside and no one noticed anything was going wrong," I reassured her. "You know Nate doesn't blame you, the only reason he was mad earlier is because the mating urges make a man irrational." I lifted her chin so I could grin at her, "And he's, like Amelia said, already grumpy to begin with."

Missy shrugged, "I know Jake, it's just so horrible... I pride myself on being good at reading minds and keeping track of people and here I just totally didn't notice what happened to Amy. She must have been screaming on the mental plane too but I didn't hear a thing!" Stepping back she sat down on the armrest of one of the couches, wriggling her toes impatiently.

"Jake, she's having a nightmare right now, a bad one too," her baby blues became luminous with unshed tears. I took hold of her shoulder, "Listen up Miss, that might not be so bad, she'll wake up soon from it don't you think?" I squeezed her reassuringly when she nodded, "Yeah in a minute I guess."

"Do you think she'll go looking for company? She might want to have a friend to talk to..." I stated, a plan forming in my mind. I turned to pace for a moment, "She'll come looking for your room, do you think Amy remembers where it is?"

Missy shook her head, "Not in the dark I suppose, there's a dozen doors down that hallway. Where are you going with this mo dheartháir?"

"I'll go up and point her to Nate's room when she comes out, he's the only one she really wants to be with right now who will make her feel safe," I explained. Missy started grinning immediately, "That's a great plan. It'll help them bond too! You have to go up now, she's waking up." She pointed to the stairs.

I rushed up it on silent feet, enjoying the speed being a vampire gave me. I was in the hallway just in time, her door was already opening. She stepped out and scanned around her, stifling a gasp when she noticed me.

"I didn't mean to scare you," I mumbled apologetically, trying to be as quiet as possible so that Nate wouldn't catch on too quickly. Her eyes glittered golden, reflecting more light than they should if she were human.

"That's the room you are looking for," I continued, lifting an arm to point at a door a little ways down. Nate's room but hopefully she'd assume I'd just pointed her to Missy's bedroom, there was only one other door between the two so she would probably buy it.

Indeed she did, stumbling past me in a rush, hurrying to the door. "Thank you!" I heard her mutter, it was very quiet but more than likely that had already alarmed Nate, near to his door as she was now.

I made myself scarce, not wanting Amy or Nate to see me. I found Missy in the kitchen, which was below the bedrooms, listening intently. "That is the room you are looking for? Really?" She mocked me the moment I entered, "Did you watch too much Star Wars again? These are not the droids you are looking for!" she mimicked, waving her hand.

I grinned at her and shrugged, "Seems to me like that was you not me. Geek!"

Her face became serious, "She is going to bolt Jake. She's just standing there because she realized it's Nate's room. Oh no I think she might go back to her room!"

Taking action I immediately grabbed a pan from a hook over the stove and slammed it down on the metal counter. Bang! The sound echoed around the house. In the silence that followed Missy and I grinned at each other. "Yeah that worked, she's going to him now."

I could hear that too, her footsteps approaching the bed and then their muffled voices as she spoke with Nate. "Alright, let's give them their privacy now," I took Missy by her arm decisively and drew her with me back into the living room.

"Aw but Jakey! Nate's being so sweet right now! It's adorable!" my sister swooned dramatically, trusting me to catch her. I didn't and crossed my arms instead, used to her antics.

She fell on her butt and then started laughing, "You dickhead!" But she got up and threw her arms around me for a hug, "Thanks for making me feel better Jake. Sleep well." And like that she gracefully danced out of the room to go back to bed.

From behind me Jaden melted out of the shadows, I hadn't noticed him at all but I managed to keep myself from betraying my surprise. "Well how do you do it? You let your sis fall flat on her behind and she thanks you?" The panther shook his head, "If I try that with one of my sisters I'd end up with at least a black eye!"

I shrugged, "Missy ain't a cat Jay, she needed a good laugh."

I'm adding this bit now because I realized some people are wondering about it. Yes! I'm writing again and I'm here to finish what I started, but... (Yeah of course there's a but.) I've been out of touch with the Soul Seeker Series for a long time so I need some time to ease back into it. I love my characters and my stories and I want to do them justice and, you readers too.

Right now I post chapters for the unfinished story I left behind Your Violence, Their Silence. I post twice a week and will hopefully finish it in another ten chapters.

I also post a new story twice a week called Hook, Line & Sinking. It's technically sort of fan fiction but it does more or less fit into the Soul Seeker Universe and obeys its (imagined) laws and rules. You guys might enjoy that while I get my act together so I can start on book two again for my Soul Seekers. :-)

Much love,

Robin
