Victor was driving home alone, it was already late night.

He had already send his brothers home earlier today, he didn't want Callie to be alone at home. He know someone was targeting them and now he know it's none other than knights gang.

The speciality of knights is that no one knows about their location or members, Lucifer knight always send his Henchmens for meetings and missions, so no had seen him either.

It was raining heavily by the time he reached home and was fully soaked, after changing he walked towards the library.

Victor knew his mind wouldn't be at peace anytime soon, so he was sitting in the library, not even bothered to switch on the fucking lights as he stared out of the window.

It's still raining heavily outside and he can hear noise of thundering, sudden lighting caught his attention towards the figure standing on the doorway.

"Callie" he whispered confused.

Callie was standing in the door way, she was barefoot, she didn't even move an inch all this time.

"Callie, what are you doing here?" Victor asked softly.

"I couldn't sleep" she whispered, for a moment she sounded so vulnerable and weak, before her dark grey eyes stared into him emotionlessly.

"Lia, are you alright?" Victor asked with concern, as he slowly raised from his chair and walked towards her, Callie was still staring at him without a word.

"Lia, are you alright?" Victor asked again, as he gently touched her shoulder, this time she gave him a weak nod.

"How long have you been standing here" he asked gently, judging from how cold her hands are, she was out of bed long ago.

"Just few minutes" Callie replied blankly.

"Come here Lia" Victor pulled her in a gentle hug, she immediately wrapped her arms around his neck tightly taking him by surprise. Her grip was too strong and was getting tighter and tighter, it was almost like she was choking him.

"Lia?" Victor whispered confused, which came out weaker than expected taking him by surprise.

After almost a minute, her grip on his neck weakened and Victor could feel Callie running her fingers through his hair softly.

Victor know something is wrong, but he also know that it's not the right time to ask her anything, especially when she seems to be in a fragile state. Even doctor advised not to ask her anything that bring bitter memories of past which might lead to another panic attack.

So he just hugged her, allowing her to calm down.

While he had few suspicion running through his mind.

Next day everyone was silent for their own reasons, six of them had their mind full of thoughts.

For Callie, school went normal, she attended the boring lectures, if that's not enough, she had two surprise tests too.

If she thought that the day couldn't get any more boring, then she was wrong.

She had a session with doctor Steve , Callie found herself zoning out in between the conversation, she had no idea what she was listening? What Dr Steve was asking? What she was speaking?

All in all, it went a disaster in her opinion.

After offering a polite smile, Callie walked upstairs while Dr Steve was speaking something with Diego, most probably about the meditation she have to do in upcoming days, which had started to become another boring part of her life.

This evening Callie is going to visit the art gallery held by one and only Renee Greywire with Damien and Diego tonight.

May be she will finally have some fun today.

Renee couldn't believe that Callie agreed to come to her art gallery, she wasn't expecting this from callie.

Renee was always jealous of Callie, eventhough the the latter was much younger than her. The attention Callie got from her brother's and parents was something Renee always watched with jealously.

Callie was their little princess.

Callie was everything Renee wanted to be, her good looks, her money and the power she held with herself.

Even as a young girl, Callie was breathtaking with her copper brown hair and tan complexion, her gorgeous silver grey eyes perfectly complemented her. She can easily turn every eyes towards her without any effort.

Renee wanted to make Callie look bad infront of everyone, especially her brothers. The moment she saw Callie during the dinner at Blackthorn Mansion, all the jealously she felt during those young days increased multifold, but sadly her plan backfired.

When Callie left, she used every opportunity to get closer to her family. So they may shower the affection and attention they gave to Callie. Even though she knew deep inside she will never be a Blackthorn.

She will never be able to replace Callie, Callista Blackthorn.

She desperately wanted the powerful aura that held dominance, strength, glory and money, which Blackthorn held.

What Callie held with her with such a ease.

Renee's parents too wanted to reach hold of that power, who wouldn't desire that! That's when they decided to plan for it for years.

A marriage.

Marriage with Victor Blackthorn.

Renee knew she will never win him. He was everything a women desire, gorgeous as hell, powerful, rich and no one could match the radiance of strength and dominance he held with him.

She and her family tried for years to get closer to them, they planned months for that dinner which clearly didn't go as they expected. They were planning to make an indirect proposal.

Eventhough her family was no match with his.

That's when Callie's sudden appearance collapsed their perfect plan.

But that day she understood one thing too, She first need to bury her jealously with Callie atleast until she managed to reach in Victor's good books.

And Renee isn't going to leave any opportunity, she is going to make full use of today's evening. she is sure that, she will surely hit the jackpot that is Victor Blackthorn, one day for sure.

While thinking about future, she didn't put much thought about today's evening, where she surely will be getting few major shocks of her life.
