Alexa

I told Xander that I'm not meeting him today. I'm eating lunch here to see how they are as a family, if I'm going to stay with them I have to be comfortable. 

I was standing with the guys in the kitchen, we were laughing and talking. I'm looking at the guys and thinking that I might enjoy living here. I don't want them to buy me an apartment it's too much. I got this bad feeling that something bad is about to happen and I think the guys notice as they looked at me worried.

"hey you ok there," Diego asks but I just look at the doors to the open garden. I got these chills. I turn my head to Lorenzo spotting something on his shirt. FUDGE it's a red dot which only means...

"EVERYONE DOWN" I scream as I tackle Lorenzo. After that, the shooting starts. Lorenzo takes my hand and hides me behind the counter before taking his gun out. I look to see all the guys beside me only looking up when they shoot

Everyone is screaming and cursing in Italian.

"hey hang in there just a little bit more our men are here any minute now" Lorenzo whispers.

I just stare at him feeling numb. He looks at me worried until he noticed what is wrong.

"fuck fuck fuck you took the bullet didn't you" he then takes his shirt off and puts pressure on my hip where the bullet hit when I tackled him. 

The other guys notice and start to swear too. I hear Alfonso call to have some doctor waiting for me I can't really connect anything that is happening right now. I hold my necklace and just stare at Enzo when the older Lorenzo comes running saying everything is clear until he sees me.

"no no no my sweet ray of sunshine you can't leave me already do you understand!" I smile at him and that is the last thing I remember before everything goes black.

Romeo's POV

Everyone is taking a liking to Alexa. I can see now what dad and zio Enzo mean when they say she is a ray of sunshine. It's like she is always smiling. she told us how she got her bags in a cafe and that she eats lunch every day with a friend and that is why she is never too hungry. She tells us about her grandmother who used to be her best friend.

 All of a sudden she got quiet and stared at the door to the garden. Then she screams and I don't know what happened except her jumping on Enzo my brother. After that everyone starts screaming and we start shooting. Someone is hiding in the garden with a sniper. Dad sends a text to the guards that we are under attack. when everything calms down I look at Enzo to see if he is ok. He is trying to speak to Alexa and all of a sudden I see him pale.

"fuck fuck fuck you took the bullet didn't you" Enzo screams. we all run to them. Right after zio Lorenzo comes in to tell us everything is clear but when he sees Alexa,  for the first time in my life I see the fear on Zio's face.

"no no no my sweet ray of sunshine you can't leave me already do you understand!" zio screams and she smiles at him and then goes unconscious.

Zio carries her to the car and we all follow speeding to the hospital we own.

Lorenzo's POV

I can't believe she AGAIN saved a man from the De Luca family, this girl is gonna be the death of me. 

When we arrive at the hospital I start screaming for the doctors and nurses to take her. All the guys are pacing through the hospital. When all of a sudden little Enzo sits down on the floor with his face laying on his knees. I walk to him and sit beside him.

"It should have been me uncle why did she save me" he whispers.

"Because we have only known her for less than a month and we already know it's in her nature to save others and for some reason, she has been sent to your family to save you twice and it is not your fault. if I know her well then I know she is strong and will make it through what she has to."
