I called him as soon as the clock displayed 9:00 P.M. He picked up the phone on the first ring and said, "How are you?"

"I am okay. Irritated and furious but okay."

"I would sue that fucker! How dare he!"

"Well, we will do that as soon as I am back in Ohio. For now, did you find something about his doctor?"

"Yes. I got his number and address. He is Aaron's personal doctor. And he lives in Greece. His name is Xander Marchese. I will text you the details. However, I do want to know why you asked for his doc?"

"I just want to ask him something that's bugging me since this morning."

"What?"

"Aaron has been accusing me of cheating on him and saying weird stuff about Jim not being his kid."

"That asshole! I am coming tomorrow with the first flight to Greece. Then I will check about this mysterious Monova Island."

Dr. Xander Marchese was surprised when I told him who I was. When I asked him to meet me, he said he was coming to the big event that was going to happen the same night in the Monova Island.

Matt called later in the evening, saying that he will be here in around half an hour. Aaron left I don't know when but he did come to meet me around 1 PM and asked if I was fine. I just showed him my middle finger in response. He shook his head and left.

I called Rachel to babysit Jim. For a person who was always cruel towards me, she came five minutes before time. I handed over Jim to her and said, "I will be back as soon as possible. Then you can go."

She frowned, "Savannah, the party will last till midnight. Stay as long as you want."

I didn't want to make her suspicious of my intentions so I nodded and left the room. I dressed in a chocolate coloured silk gown that reached my knee and had a decent neckline.  I wore small gold earrings and a gold chain on my neck. I completed the dress with black heels.

Alex came to pick me up at 8pm and we left the villa. I received a message from Matt on my way to the party.

Just reached. Send me the hotel's name.

I sent him the address and told him to take the return tickets as well.

Matt - Already did that. You have your passport and other important documents?

Me - Got them. Thanks Matt.

Matt - :) what are friends for?

I sent back a smiley and waited patiently for the car to reach the restaurant. 

"Cara, your husband has been trying to reach you since hours, here," said Alex handing his phone to me.

He was driving the car, with his wife sitting next to him and I was in the back seat. I took the phone and placed it on my ear.

"Hello" I said dispassionately.

"Where is your phone?" He asked.

I didn't answer. He asked again. When he didn't get any response, he huffed and furiously said, "This has to stop Savannah. You can't act like a child just because I brought you here without your permission. Any other man in my place would have abandoned you by now."

"Abandon me then, I don't need you. I was living quite fine without you." I hissed into the phone.

"There, see you can talk. Well, Xander called me. You wanted to meet him?"

I said nothing and ended the call. Then I handed the phone back to Alex who was still flirting with his wife.

They loved each other. That's what actual love is. I may not love again but I won't live like this nor will my child.

I found Matt fifteen minutes later. He was talking with the security guards, trying to persuade them to allow him inside. I ran over to him and threw my arms around him. He hugged me back just as tightly and said to the security, "See? I was invited. I didn't get the card."

"Sir, it is a code party. We have a code..."

I interrupted, "Red Wine."

"Ma'am" they both nodded together and allowed us to go inside.

"I have to tell you so many things" I said placing my hand on his arm.

"Work first, talk later. Is the Doctor here?"
"I don't know. I haven't seen him in real life" I said.

He took out his phone and opened the gallery folder.

"This is him. Found his picture on wiki. A successful doctor. He is serving Aaron's family since decades."

I saw the picture and said, "I saw this man with Alex and his friends just a minute ago. He was standing over there."

I pointed towards the hall where the people were dancing and drinking. We found Dr. Xander in no time and went to a room for privacy.

"Hello Dr. Xander"

"Missus Savannah Cole." He nodded. He then looked at Matt. Matt raised his hand and said, "Matt Reynolds, hedge funds manager."

They shook hands and then Xander asked me why I called him.

"I need to know a few things about Aaron."

"I can't share any details. Its our policy" Xander said.

"I am asking what every wife has a right to ask. Aaron thinks Jim is not his son. Why is he lying? Does he despise kids?"

"No, he does not despise kids. And Mrs. Cole, I can't tell you anything about Aaron. Information about every patient is kept secret. Its personal.."

"Dr. Xander, your patient has accused his wife of cheating on him. He said Jim is not his son."

"But we all know Jim is not his son."

I glared at him while saying through gritted teeth, "Excuse me? I would really like to know why you and Aaron are so adamant about it. Jim is his son, his blood."

"Oh..you never.." He said.

Matt interrupted, "Now, that is not personal I think?" 

"I am sorry Mrs. Cole. If this is the truth, then there has been some mistake, a big mistake. I...is this the right time to talk about such sensitive topic?"

"There can be no better time" I said.

I felt offended. Something that I have been feeling for quite some time. But this will be the last night. Now, I can get both a fast divorce and Jim's custody.

"Do you know about his ex?" We both nodded.

"Aaron couldn't take it. He wanted to be a father. It was a surprise and he wanted the kid but his ex fiance was lying. She just wanted to marry him and get half portion of his property. He came to know about the truth before the worse could happen. He broke up with her and came to me, for vasectomy."

I gasped, "But.."

"We didn't do the operation. It was not necessary. Aaron was infertile. We did a semen analysis twice in different months, same results. So when you told him about Jim, he must have thought you cheated on him."

"But how....I...how did I get pregnant?" I asked.

"There can be changes in the quality and quantity of sperm in a man. Tension, tiredness, loss of food and sleep can also cause a change in results which may have been the reason then."

I clutched my hair and pulled. He didn't trust me. He never trusted me. He thought I was like Juliette who just wanted his money.

To be honest, I did doubt this when Aaron said Jim wasn't his child but now everything was becoming clear.

"Savvy?" Matt said keeping his arms around my shoulder.

"I am sorry Mrs. Cole. I will make this right. I will call him and tell him about what we just discovered. It is not very uncommon, you see. Many men have had the same problems"

"While telling him about this, do not forget to mention that now he has no claim over his child. I have already filed for divorce and I am taking Jim's custody"

With that said, I left the place with Matt on my heels. We went to the house directly and took my bags and Jim. Rachel tried to stop us but I couldn't be stopped. An hour later I was out of the Monova Island, flying back to Ohio.

A/N

Next chapter will be on Aaron. He will finally know the truth. I can't tell more other than that you might actually feel bad for the guy once in this novel. Really you will. Some of you might have questions of why Aaron trusted her when she told him she never had sex with anyone else. Aaron didn't trust her, he is not a doctor and he believed only the medical results.
