It's cold.

I opened my eyes to see that everything was still dark, but the balcony door was slightly cracked open allowing the cold December air to flow into the room. I sat there trying to figure out how the heck it got open.

I climbed out my bed allowing the chill of the floor to shock my feet and wake me up further from the warmth and comfort of my drowsiness.

I walked over to the balcony door and opened it further, checking to see if whoever opened it was standing on the balcony.

I stepped out into the brisk air of the winter night and was amazed by the clarity of the sky.

The full moon that loomed over my head was so large I felt I could just reach my hand out and touch it, but of course that could only happen in dreams.

I never actually stepped out onto this balcony before; lets just say I never really had the chance, but now that I am up here I can't help but love it.

It was almost like a green house of flowers and fruit trees.

The balcony held a small pond where coy fish were contently swimming circles around themselves, which confused me considering the weather.

I walked up to the edge of the pond and dared to place my toe into the water which was surprisingly warm.

As if disturbed by the change in their current the coy came quickly to where I stood, so I got down on all fours leaning to greet them.

I found myself looking at my reflection in the glass like effect of the water, and from the corner of my eye I caught the shine of a bright blue light.

I turned in it's direction and it was gone.

I turned back to the pond to see again that my own reflection was missing yet the coy below me knew I was there...

Am I dreaming?

I backed up from the pond shaking my head wildly, it felt too real.

Then like a dying star there was an explosion of light coming from the other exit of my balcony, and as quickly as I saw it-it vanished again...

"This must be a dream."

I gasped.

"My voice!"

Everything I said sounded as if I were both whispering and echoing at the same time...

This is definitely a dream.

Yet again a pale blue light burst in the corner of my vision toward my other balcony exit and as soon as I turned it vanished.

Does it want me to follow it?

No way what if it's like a will 'o' the wisp; those are always bad omens, then again sometimes they could also be good...

My thoughts were not agreeing but it seemed my dream was taking things into its own hands.

Soon enough I was willingly stepping toward the other door that was connected to my balcony.

Once through it I was in another room though this one looked like a lounge room.

It would be perfect for tea parties.

I whipped my head toward the exit of the lounge room as I watched the blue glow come alive at the lower gap of the door.

Slowly I stalked toward the door trying to be as quiet as possible not wanting to startle whoever or whatever gave off the soft blue glow.

I snatched open the door and again; as if it was air it vanished, not a trace of it was found.

I stepped through the doorway finding myself in a hallway that was dark and unlit.

There was only two options at the time.

Option one turn back around and go back to bed or option two find the source of the blue glow. Of course option one was boring so I went for the latter.

I crept down the hallway and began realizing that I was walking down the main hall of my new home.

I stared around me recognizing the same pattern of interior design that my mother-in-law loved, modern white marble and antique pictures framed in grand attire.

I leaned toward one side of the hall trying to blend in as much as I could in this open space, hoping I could sneak up on whatever held the blue light.

I neared the end of the hallway where the pale blue form was waiting for me. I couldn't exactly make out what it was, but it was waiting for me almost as if it expected me to follow it.

Dropping my guard I stepped out from behind the plant that hid me and like fire retreating from water it vanished.

I ran to the spot were the blue form stood and was amazed.

It feels... Warm?!

I heard a shuffle and ran blindly toward it, racing after the reverberation of steps like my whole existence was mad for it.

I was in dire need of its touch and its warmth.

I burst through the front door of this dream like version of my new home and out into the garden.

The blue form was waiting for me at the beginning path of the trees. Once again leading me down the same path I took when I ran away from the house just days ago...

Is this a sign or is this a warning?

I knew it didn't matter because either way I was following that light.

I was a tiger; large and fierce, and the warm meaty light was my prey.

I desired my prey more than hunger and famine.

For if my prey was not received I will be dying, so I chased after it well past the dip in the ancient oak tree and beyond.

I was running through a field of roses, daisies, and orchids.

The sky above me was lit by moonlight that held an endless array of stars so bright the tree's and the shadows of the garden no longer hindered the reach of their light.

Above me the ruler was the moon and below me the ruler was the ground and around me the ruler was the land.

I stopped; losing focus of my prey and myself, feeling as if the surrounding garden dwarfed me into it and allowed me to be part of its beauty.

Here in this land of deep red, flashy violet, and pure white.

I was a rainbow.

Here in this land of three colors lit by a force so beautiful it hurt.

Here...

I was different.

Here I was me, and it made me feel so new.

Blue?

I stared in the direction of the pale form waiting for me and I felt invaded upon.

The form was as new as I to this land of three colors, but instead of it being a rainbow like me it was blue...

It made me feel old and it was new.

It made me feel different...

So I hunted it again.

Me and the blue form raced out of the meadow and back into the tree's.

Mossy tree's.

Vine tree's.

White tree's.

Each tree we passed the blue form started to take shape; becoming part of this world, becoming exactly what I thought it was.

It started as a child small and running, but soon the fawn grew gaining horns and antlers like no other.

They stretched out the stags head forming like inhumanely large hands making a sacred crown.

Then as if it were giving up to me it stopped, halting at a large pond.

The moon shined upon the surface of the water giving it an iridescent but shimmering glow.

I stood mere feet away from the stag wondering if I should reach out and grab it, or simply extend my hand to stroke it.

It was obvious it knew I was there, but as if not at all bothered by my presence it stood with its back toward me staring out into the water.

I extended my hand shakily, easing upon the warmth and the softness of the creature.

I traced my hand from its rear to as high as I could get to the tallest peak of its antler and I began laughing.

Trying to figure out why would I ever want to harm or even hunt this creature.

I stared at the stag noticing how much larger it was to me only to come eye to eye with it as it extended its great neck and lowered its head toward me.

Almost as if to get a better view into my soul.

We stood together looking into each other's eye's for a long time, longer than life itself it seemed.

The stag turned away and bowed its head allowing its antlers to dip into the freezing water of the pond.

Heat radiated off of the stag and into the water making the surface of the pond bubble and burble; it was incoherent and noisy, but that was not all.

The water began to glow and take shape; rising like a phoenix out of its ashes, a single gondola emerged from the pond.

The stag stepped onto the gondola till it stood at the back as if it would be my gondolier.

It stared at me expecting me to follow its steps, so I did and amazingly I didn't fall through it.

I turned toward the stag who looked to me before looking to the moon which looked to be our destination.

The stag opened its mouth allowing a single word escaped

"Ambrosia..."

I felt as if I was being snatched back.

Something was pulling me back, but I clung to the gondola as my body stretched away from it dragging me back the way I came.

I stared at the stag and begged and pleaded with my eyes.

"Help me!"

It just stared down toward me and noticed my grip to the gondola; as if it were smiling at my weakness to hold on, it bent its mighty neck and brushed upon my hands.

Like a fool I stretched out my palm to yet again stroke its warmth and was yanked away from the blue stag; which again became a blue form which turned into a distant blue light, till I no longer could see it.

Everything around me was rewinding reversing itself and it was like I was running away from it all.

I was being snatched away from it all, this dream this universe of beauty and unreal warmth.

For some reason I wanted to cry, I wanted to scream, I wanted to yell, but all I could do at this moment was none of that...

All I could do was yearn for that warmth again and remember the last touch of it that still lingered in my palm.

Almost as if it was telling me, we will meet again.

I closed my eyes savoring the memory etching it into my being so I wouldn't forget this dream.

"Ambrosia."

I opened my eye's as I laid flat on my back and felt the pair of strong arms around me.

Recognizing the deep tantalizing voice that haunted me even in my dreams.

I turned to Fabian glancing upon him as the sun light made his eye's twinkle in the most amazing way and forgot my anger at him for waking me up from a good dream.

I smiled at my husband teasing him.

"Good morning Fabian..............................."
