She walks, over to him, wearing, a royal blue top, black, pre-ripped jeggings, black boots on. He asks curious, "How's, Mr. Saltzman?" He's wearing, a navy-blue leather jacket, a black t-shirt, navy-blue jeans and brown boots, on. She nods and admits with a smile, "Resigned, to spending the night, under observation." She buttons her, middle button, to her light grey, sweater jacket, with a black hood, to it and then, puts, her brown purse, on, her right shoulder, as she continues, "As long, as I, use, the air condition and get, a new lock, on the house." She smiles and they walk, down, the hall, together, and continue talking. She speaks and admits with a smile, "So, I talked to Bonnie, earlier? She and her mom are fine." He nods and then, she continues and asks curious, "Have you, talked to, Caroline?" He nods and he admits with a smile and he says sternly, "Yea. She's holding, it, together, considering, how, close she and her dad, used to be." She nods, in understanding and says nothing. He continues and asks curious, now, "Any word, on who's, behind, these attacks?" She shakes her head and admits sadly, "No. Sheriff Forbes, says that, there's no real suspects, at all." He nods and, says nothing.

In an empty room, the lights are off and the blinds are slightly open, there's somebody, watching, them, from a far, as they pass it and they don't, notice and continue talking. They walk, outside, together, to their cars and she speaks and asks sternly, "How, are you, dealing, with everything?" He looks at her, surprised and confused. She notices and continues and recalls sadly, "I mean, you keep, getting dragged, into all of this." He sighs and admits with a smile and he says sternly, "Honestly. I'm kinda, of lucky, that, the only thing, that, I have, to, worry, about, for tomorrow, is, showing up, for my shift, at The Grill?" She nods, faces him and she retorts with a smile and says grateful, "Thank you. For everything, today. Really." He nods and retorts with a smile and says sternly, "Of course. Get home, safe." She nods and retorts with a smile, "Thanks." He nods and goes over, to his truck and gets in, and she sighs, in frustration, opens her car door and gets inside and closes it and then, puts the key, in the ignition and turns it on. He backs out, of the parking space, goes in reverse and leaves and she puts her seatbelt on and waves, goodbye to him, with a smile. She then, backs up and looks through, her review mirror now and she accidentally, hits something, from behind her and it sounded, like, a dumpster, but its not. She gasps, in shock and looks surprised, now. She gets out and goes over, to check, what, she hit. She sees nothing, behind her truck and looks confused, now. She checks, her-her surroundings, carefully, and, warily, now. She turns, back around, to the front, of her, car door, and, sees Rebekah appear in front of her and she looks worried and she comments scared now, "Rebekah!" Her long, blonde hair, is pulled back, into a ponytail. Its straight and flat-ironed. She's wearing, a silk, bronze brown jacket, that clings, to her body and nothing else on, but black boots on. She nods and, retorts upset, "Drive, much?!" She grabs her, by the throat and puts her, roughly, up, against the car, and continues with a smile, "Surprised? You drove, a dagger, through my back, Elena. It hurt!!!" She shows, her veins and fangs and tries to bite her, in the right side, of her neck, but Elijah, now, appears, there, fast, in a navy-blue suit, black tie, and black dress shoes, on. He stops her and puts her, roughly, up, against, the truck, by her throat and she laughs and she comments with a smile, "Elijah." Elena looks, surprised and shocked, by this and says nothing, as he nods and retorts pissed off, "Rebekah, Leave..." He roughly, releases her and she takes a deep breath, out and then, takes a step, forward, and glares at him, upset. He comments shocked and retorts in disbelief, now, "...Are you, challenging me?" He smiles. She responds and comments tired, "You're pathetic!" She looks over, to Elena and, remarks, with a smile and says done, "Both of you, are!" She flashes away, leaving. Elijah, looks, back, to Elena and comments with a smile and says sternly, "Well.... I believe, we have, a little, catching up, to do?" She nods and she retorts with a smile, "I know and thanks, Elijah." He nods and smiles.

*The Next Day, in The Morning- The Gilbert's House- The Kitchen- A Meeting/A Revelation*

Elena is, standing, behind her counter, in the kitchen, now. Her hair is straight and flat-ironed. She's a, wearing, a lacy white tank top, a light purple sweater, black jeans and brown boots, on. She speaks, and reveals to Stefan and Damon, sternly, "It was their mother, Esther, that was sealed, in that coffin." Stefan stood, near the front, of counter and he comments surprised, now, "As in: The Original Witch?" He's wearing, a black jacket, a black shirt, black jeans and black boots, on. She nods and says nothing. Damon is sitting, onto the table. He's wearing, a navy-blue, shirt, black jeans and black boots, on. He speaks and retorts confused now, "What? How, is she even, alive? I thought, her hybrid, freak-show, of, a son, ripped, her heart out, a thousand years, ago." She shakes her head and admits with a smile, and, says sternly, "Idk. I'm guessing, she has a couple, of connections, in the witchy community. Elijah said, that, she wants, to live, in peace, with her family, including, Klaus!" Stefan sighs in frustration, and, he retorts upset, now, "She was supposed, to be, the weapon, to help us kill, Klaus?" She sighs, and admits sadly, but remarks with a smile, "Plans changed: According, to Elijah." Stefan paces, and, retorts agitated now, "That coffin, was, the only thing, keeping Klaus, from tearing, us, to shreds!" Damon nods and retorts with a smile, "Anybody, feeling, a little bit, used, right, now?" Elena shakes, her head and retorts with a smile and says sternly, now, "K, look. Elijah, promised me, that his family, wouldn't hurt, any of us..." The doorbell rings and they look, over to it and then, back to her, as she, continues and admits with a smile, "I believe him."

She, walks, past, Damon and goes, through, the living room and over, to, the door and opens it. They, follow, after her, as she looks, down, at the porch and sees a black present box, with a gold ribbon, to it, and a white envelope, on top and it has her name, on it, in cursive, 'Elena Gilbert.' She now, looks, surprised and shocked now, but grabs the box, and goes back, inside and Damon helps her and sits it, on the ledge, as she closes, the door, faces back, to them and looks, at, the envelope, in her hands. Damon comments and asks curious now, "What is it?" She opens the envelope and pulls a white card, out and comments with a smile, "Its an invitation." She reads it, out loud, and it says, in fine, black print, 'Please, join, the, Mikaelson, Family. This evening, at seven o'clock. For dancing, cocktails and, celebration.' Stefan nods and comments confused, "Who, the hell, are, the Mikaelsons?" She responds, and admits with a smile, "The Originals." Damon sighs and retorts upset, "Its not, bad enough, that, they're, moving, into town, but now, they want, a housewarming gift?!" She flips the card over and, she sees a message and comments surprised, now, "Wait. There's a note, on the back?" She reads it, and it, says, 'Elena. I think, its time, we finally meet, Esther.' She looks shocked and surprised by this.

*Back at Klaus's Family Mansion- The Living Room- An Ambush/The Family Room- A Meeting*

Rebekah is sitting, in a brown couch and shes looking, at, her new manicure, with, a smile. Her hair is, still in a ponytail. She's wearing, a light brown, sweater, and, white shorts, on. Finn is getting tailored. Elijah is still wearing, his suit, from last night and he's trying, to find the right dress shoe, for later, on. Kol is wearing, his black and white suit and he's looking, at himself, in the mirror, with a roguish grin. He speaks and retorts with a smile, "Rebekah, tell me, how handsome, I am?" She sighs and remarks, with a smile, "Oh. Kol, you know, I can't, be compelled." Finn laughs. Klaus barges in, marches over to, her, upset and says angry, "You went after, Elena? What, the hell, is wrong, with you?" He's wearing, a black leather jacket, light purple t-shirt, leather black jeans and black boots on. She nods and remarks, with a smile, and, comments thrilled, now, "Here, we go." Elijah smiles. Klaus nods and he retorts, in, disbelief and asks sternly, "Do you, want another dagger, in your heart? Is that it." She smirks, unfazed, and says nothing, tired. Kol sighs annoyed, gets down, from the stand, sits on a stool and comments, with a smile, un-impressed, now, "Again, with the dagger threats? Don't you, have, any, other tricks?" Klaus looks over to him and remarks with a smile and comments tired now, "Oh, go back, to staring, at yourself!" Kol stands and remarks with a smile and comments in disbelief now, "And, who are you? My father?" He walks over to him and retorts pissed off and says serious, now, "No, Kol. But you're, in, my house!" Kol nods, meets him halfway and retorts with a smile and says sternly, "Then, perhaps we, should go, outside."

They face off, with each, other, prepared to fight. Esther notices, in the doorway and she comments, upset and says sternly, "Enough! Niklaus, come?" Kol grins, as he walks past him, upset and follows, after Esther, to the family room and they talk. Her hair is in a braided ponytail. She's wearing, a cream gold dress, brown heels, on. She's facing, her coffin, sad, as Klaus speaks and he comments, upset, "Rebekah, wasn't even out of her box, a day, before, she tried to ruin my life! What, happened, to Peace? Acceptance. Family?" She looks at him, upset, comments in disbelief, but remarks, with a, smile, "You put daggers, in their hearts. You want them, to go down, on their knees and kiss your feet, for re-uniting them?!" He nods and retorts in disbelief and comments with a smile, "So, its, crime, for me, to want, our family, to be, as we, were?" She shakes her head and retorts with a smile, "You need, to give it, Time. Niklaus." He nods and says nothing. She continues and she reveals sternly, "I've had, a thousand years, on, 'The Other Side', to be angry, and to heal. I'm here, to make sure, that, this family, does the same!" He looks at her, astonished and admits sad, "I-I just, don't understand. I killed you, and still, you forgive me?" She sighs, walks over, to him, stops in front, of him and she admits with a, smile, and says sternly, "Its been, my dream, for over, a thousand years, for this family, to be, as one? Forgiveness is not a Chore; its a Gift." He nods and smiles. She nods, continues and she asks curious, "Now. Who, are you, bringing, to the ball, this evening?" She smiles and he scoffs, looks away, from, her, with a grin, on his face and laughs. He looks back to her and he remarks with a smile, "Don't be, ridiculous. You're lucky, I'm even going!" She nods and retorts with a smile and admits sternly, "Well.... I wish, you'd reconsider. Its going to be a magical evening." He nods and sighs in defeat. She smiles, glad.

*Back at The Gilbert's House- The Living Room- Evening- A Meeting/A Surprise Gift*

Elena sits the box, on the table and sits in the couch and Damon comments and asks curious, "What's, in the present?" She opens it and sees, a light brown and gold corseted gown, with, black sequence, to it, inside. She looks surprised and gasps in shock, now. Stefan comments sadly and he asks sternly, "Who's it, from?" She sees another envelope and grabs it and opens it. She responds and she admits, with a smile, "Elijah." She takes out, the card and sees a message, 'Save me, a dance, on the floor? E.' She smiles, astonished.

They continue talking. She speaks and retorts with a smile and asks sternly, "If Esther, wants to, talk to, me, maybe, I should, find out, why?" She stands, faces them, as they stand, in the doorway and look at her, upset. Damon speaks and retorts with a smile, "Well. That's a dumb idea. She already, tried to, kill you, once!" She sighs and says nothing. Stefan nods and retorts in agreement, with her, and he recalls, with a smile, "No, she's right. Bonnie, was led, to open, that coffin, for a reason. I think, there's more to this, than some happy family reunion?" Damon looks at him shocked and remarks with a smile and he asks sadly, "Can we, go back, in time, to the old Stefan, who cared, if Elena, lived or died?" He shakes, his head and retorts with a smile and he says in disbelief, now, "What for? That's your job, now." She looks down, to the floor sad and says nothing upset, but then takes a step forward to Stefan and he admits with a smile, "Stefan has a point, Damon." He smiles at her, as she continues, "I should find, out, what she wants?" Damon shakes his head and retorts tired and says upset, "You can't protect, yourself!" She looks at him hurt, now and Stefan speaks and retorts with a smile and says sternly, "K, fine. Then, I'll go!" He shakes his head and remarks with a smile and says serious, "You've pissed off, enough Originals, to last a lifetime!" He snatches the invitation and he says serious and informs her, done, "I'll go." She comments upset and says sad now, "Hey!" He continues and he says tired, "....End of Discussion!" He leaves.

*Back at The Forbes House- The Hallway- A Surprise Gift*

Caroline's hair, is flowing, in luxurious curls. She's, wearing, a light blue jean jacket, a brown, blue and, purple, plaid dress, purple leggings underneath and black boots, on. She walks out, of the living room, and goes into the hall and over to, the brown dresser. She grabs her phone, from, off, the dresser and, she sees, a voice message, from Tyler, on it and she plays it and listens to it, 'Caroline, its Tyler. I know, I should've called sooner, but I just kind of freaked out and left. I heard about your dad and I'm sorry. I'm really, sorry, Care. I'm out, doing what, he said. I'm going to, fix myself, and come home, to you. I love you.' She smiles and stops the message, done. There's a knock, at the door and whoosh sound, of a, vampire leaving and she looks over, to the door, in shock and then, back to the dresser and puts her, phone down and then, walks over to the door and opens it and looks down, on the porch and sees, a black box and she looks surprised now and its the same box, as Elena got, but with a white bow. She grabs it, goes back, inside, kicks the door, shut and then, goes upstairs to her room and sits it, on the bed and then sees, an envelope, addressed to her, with her name, spelled in, fine cursive, black print, 'Caroline Forbes.' She sighs and takes, a deep breath out, before opening it and then does and sees, an invitation, inside, and its the same as Elena's and she scoffs with a smile. She flips the card over, and, there's a note, 'Save me, a dance. Fondly, Klaus.' She throws the card, on the bed, upset and she comments in frustration, now, "Seriously." She sighs and opens, the present, curious, now, and what, she finds, inside, is a shear lavender-bluish dress, with a silver sequence belt and rhinestones, onto, the straps, of it and she looks shocked and astonished, now with a smile.

*Back at The Mystic Grill- Afternoon- A Meeting/An Ambush*

Elena and Caroline, are sitting, across, from, each, other and they talk. Elena speaks, and, admits with, a smile and she says sternly, "Its all, so weird. The Originals are throwing a ball. Like, an actual ball." Caroline shakes her head and remarks with a smile, "It's some, twisted Cinderella fetish, that's what it, is. Why, does the evil witch, want an audience, with you?" She retorts confused. Elena nods and she, admits sadly, "I have no idea. But there, is only one way, to find out?" She smiles. Caroline looks, at, her astonished, now and recalls with a smile, "I thought, you told, Stefan and Damon, that, you weren't going?" She nods and admits with a smile and says sternly, "I did. Which is, all, the, more reason, why, I need, a drama-free bodyguard." Caroline nods and she retorts with a smile and says sternly, "Well. I-I think, a Salvatore, would look, a lot better, in a tux. And, by that: I mean, Stefan." She sighs, shakes her head and admits with a smile and says tired, "Ugh. I can't deal with either of the Salvatores, right now! Whatever, Stefan's, feeling, he's channeling it, all against Klaus. And, Damon... Is just not, a good idea." She sighs sad and says nothing else.

Caroline nods and retorts upset and comments hurt, "Why? Cause, you two, made out." Elena looks, at, her, shocked and surprised, now and Caroline nods and explains, "Bonnie told me." She nods and, admits sadly and informs her, serious, "I was, going, to tell you, but I didn't know, how to. Giving the circumstances, of what happened, to you and not-not to mention, you've had, a lot thrown, at you, recently with your father's death and funeral!" Caroline shakes her head, cuts her off and retorts, upset, now, "You know, what, Elena. I really, hate that, word, you just used?" She looks confused and, surprised as Caroline explains and retorts sad, now, 'Circumstances.' There were none, Elena! And, do you, wanna know, why, I hate that, word?" She shakes her head and admits curious, "Yes." Caroline nods sad and explains hurt, but recalls with a smile, "Its because, I know, deep down, inside, you, believe, what happened, to me, is my fault! When, in, reality, you have, no idea, of what, I-I went, through or how, I felt, afterwards? And, in all honestly. I-I don't like it, Elena!" She nods and retorts, sadly and says in agreement, now, "You're right, Care. That was a bad word choice! I'm not, trying to, hurt you, by being with Damon." Caroline nods, scoffs, with, a smile, but retorts in disbelief, "When, you and Matt, kissed, for the first time, freshmen year. You called me, the second, it happened. And, I don't, hear about this, until, now? And, from somebody else!" Elena sighs and apologizes sad, but, she reveals sternly, "I'm truly, sorry, Caroline. But, I just... Elena responds and comments confused, "Rebekah. What, are you, doing, here? I know, your Mom's rules. No murdering, the locals!" She smiles. Rebekah nods, responds and retorts tired now, "Oh. She walks, over, to Matthew, with a smile, and, hands him, an invitation, to the ball and asks him, to be, her date and he smiles, flattered and nods. She smiles, glad, and happy. Caroline looks surprised, now and retorts in shock, "Oh, my God. She's inviting him, to the ball!" She looks, back, to Elena and retorts confused, now, "Why, is she, inviting him?" Elena sighs and, remarks with a smile, but comments sadly, "Probably, to get, this reaction, from us." Caroline sighs in, defeat and asks in frustration now, "What time, is that, stupid dance, again?!" Elena nods and retorts, with a smile, "7:00."
