Alex's POV

At least now we could start clean, I was over this plan for revenge that I had and Mia and I could really start our little family. I held her hand gently as I drove back to our house and watched her gently touch her stomach every once in a while.

She asked, "do you want a boy or a girl?"

"It doesn't matter baby, I just want a healthy baby."

"If it's a boy would you want him to be named Alexander?"

"Maybe as a middle name?"

"Do you like the name Ian Alexander?"

"I do babe, what about a name for a girl?"

"How about... Leah Arlene?"

"It sounds nice baby girl."

I parked the car outside the house and walked in with Mia. My jacket was still on the floor, a silent reminder of what happened a few hours ago.

As we cuddled in bed I felt Mia closer than ever before. Her head laid on my chest and I softly stroked her hair. We hadn't felt like this in a while, no awkward tension between us, just love and calm.

One of her arms was around me and the other was on her stomach.

Mia's POV

When I woke up, I immediately ran to the bathroom, the morning sickness was definitely getting to me. Alex woke up a second after me to make sure I was okay.

I had barely made it to the bathroom and shooed him away but he stayed and held my hair while I leaned over the toilet.

He gently rubbed my back with worry on his face and I washed my mouth, "I'm okay honey, just morning sickness."

"Are you sure? I can stay here and take care of you so you don't stay by yourself."

"Babe I am okay, thank you."

"What if you invite Addison over?"

"That does sound like a good idea, I'll do that so you don't worry okay?"

"Thank you," he said as he embraced me.

Once he had gone to work I asked Addison to come over for a girl's day which she readily agreed to since we had not seen each other in a while. We would just watch movies and eat ice cream all day.

When she finally arrived I could not wait to tell her the news. She hugged me then looked at my smile suspiciously, "what is going on?"

I smiled wider, "you're going to be an auntie!"

"What?!" She screeched happily.

"Yep, I don't know if we are having a boy or girl her but I am definitely pregnant!"

"We need to celebrate! Do you have any wine?"

I laughed and shook my head, "how about you have some wine and I get some juice?"

"Right!"

My best friend has always been a little wild but I love her because she's like the sister I always wanted.

We spend the whole morning talking and having breakfast then the afternoon watching chick flicks with ice cream. By the time we were done, Taylor was off of work and decided to pick Addison up. I figured they could stay over for dinner with Alex and I.

It was perfectly planned out because Addison and I were almost done cooking by the time Alex and Taylor arrived.

Alexander immediately walked over to kiss me then kissed my belly which made my heart happy. I know he's going to be such a great daddy.

We enjoyed a delicious dinner while talking and laughing with our best friends which was something that had not happened in a while. It seemed like my life was finally settling down. Alex and I have had our rough moments but at least we have overcame them and now we are stronger than before.

Alex and Taylor helped us clean the dishes then they sat down in the living room while talking and I went ahead to show Addison my painting room.

"So where do you think you'll have the baby's nursery? Closer to the painting room or your room?"

"I think closer to our bedroom"

She looked around and out the window thoughtfully then said, "Taylor has been acting strange you know, I don't know what it is, I can't put my finger on it."

"Really? He seemed fine when we were down there."

She smiled then nodded, "we should head down and all watch a movie together!"

"I like that idea, I have been feeling a little more fatigued lately."

We were heading down the stairs when I heard my name being said, I think it was Taylor's voice that said, "so you're just going to pretend it didn't happen and not tell Mia?"

Addison was about to speak and I told her to stop then I listened to their conversation because I thought Alex had told me everything last night.

"Yeah, I can't tell her you know, it might be bad for her or for the baby, it's in the past now."

"It's something serious though, what will happen if she finds out? You should be truthful with her now.."

"So what will I say? When I met you all I wanted was to get my revenge on you? I thought you were a gold digger and you killed my father? I still get angry at you for that but I love you as well? Like she would take that well."

What is he talking about? His father? I never met that man. I felt the anger boiling inside me at the things he was saying and I stepped out of the shadows to meet my gaze with his.

He first looked happy to see me, then concerned at my expression, then he just looked hurt and scared.

Alex's POV

I know Taylor wanted me to tell Mia because he was thinking of the future but I had to think of my little baby and Mia's wellbeing. As soon as I had finished saying what I said, Mia stepped into the living room with a wide eyed Addison behind her. Mia's anger was apparent in her face and I felt scared for what that could do to the baby.

I was about to try and pretend I was talking about something else but it was obvious she knew what I had been talking about. There was no lying out of this, even if it was for her own good.

"We need to talk." She said bluntly.

I nodded and motioned her over with my hand. She stayed put.

Taylor stood up and looked at Addison, "I think we better leave and let them talk this through."

Addison looked at Mia and said, "do you want me to stay?"

Mia nodded, "please stay, obviously Alex told Taylor whatever he's been hiding from me. I want you to stay and tell me if he's lying to me again Taylor because obviously I can't trust my own husband."

Mia's eyes never left mine as if searching for something.

Addison and Taylor sat down next to each other looked very uncomfortable and I felt bad for them.

"I didn't completely tell you everything yesterday..."

"I can see that, please tell me the whole truth now" she said unusually calm.

I nodded and looked at her, "Mia we both know the truth.. it was you in that car, the woman I saw, it was you, our eyes met and I would never forget those eyes."

"What are you talking about??"

"With my father Mia. You were the woman driving the car! I saw you, my dad told me your name, my private investigator found you, your acting is over alright? But that doesn't matter, I can see there's a better and good side to you and I love it and I want us to put this past us alright? I forgive you for everything but just admit it was you."

I said all that as a tear escaped my eye, I could not hold it back due to the pain I was feeling.

She looked offended and hurt, "I never even met your father Alexander! How could you think I would date your father for his money then date you after his death?  What kind of person do you think I am?" Her voice was breaking painfully towards the end of the sentence.

"Mia stop this please, really I forgive you. I just need you to give me that peace of mind and admit what you did, I won't hurt you or be angry, I want us to be happy with our baby. I just want closure please," I basically begged her.

"I can't admit something I never did. Before that day at the coffee shop I had never seen you or anyone in your family before!"

Addison stood up to try and hold Mia who was getting more upset by the second. I wanted to be the one comforting her but she would only become more angry.

"Then how can you explain the fact that my father was texting a Mia Franco, he had messages from you, paintings you gave to him, I saw you driving away in that car, my private investigator confirmed it was you," I said as a son escaped my throat. I was embarrassed but the pain was overwhelming.

"I don't know and I don't have to explain anything that I never did," she said holding her stomach as she cried.

"Please baby, look I know you're not after the money, you love me and I love you and we can be a family now you know? I want to put it all behind us Mia please!"

Taylor saw me getting more upset and came over to me to try and make me let go of it now.

Mia shook her head while crying, the tears glistening down her rosy cheeks and her pouty lips quivering.

"Even if you've lied to me Alex, everything I've said to you is nothing but the truth, I swear on my life that I never met your dad, I am not that person you talk about."

I could feel Taylor holding me back talking about the baby and letting her rest but the pain in my chest would not let me listen. It was not until I saw Mia's knees slightly bend and her intense gaze slowly fade that I lunged to hold her up. Addison's fearful eyes helped me hold her as she yelled, "we need to get her to a hospital now!"

That brought me back to the present and we immediately rushed her to the nearest hospital.
