Mia's POV

Annabel picked up on the second ring which did not surprise me because she seemed very enthusiastic about us becoming friends. I giggled when I heard her excited voice asking me a million questions a minute about how I had been.

"I'm doing great! Hey listen, Alex wants to take me on vacation to Cancun for our six month anniversary and while I am very excited I need to do lots of shopping. We leave in five days and I would super love if you came with me?"

"Girl of course I will go with you! That is the perfect girl's date!"

"Is it fine if I pick you up now? I just really need to get this shopping started"

"I'll be ready in five minutes!"

I laughed, "relax, I'll be there in twenty, see you in a bit"

"See ya!"

I lightly shook my head while laughing because she was always so excited. I figured since she's known Alexander much longer than I have, she might be able to help me come up with a gift for him. Our anniversary would be on the first day of the trip and I really wanted to get him something he will love.

I did not even realize when I got to Annabel's house since I was too distracted thinking of what his gift would be until the man said in a rough voice, "are you getting off or are we picking someone up?"

"Oh, sorry. Someone is getting on, they'll be here in a minute."

As if on cue, Annabel stepped out of the house looking amazing as usual. She basically cat walked to the taxi then hugged me excitedly as she got on. We chatted about basically everything that popped into her mind on the way to the mall. That meant that we never really stopped talking since a lot of thoughts crossed through her mind and she has no filter.  Even though she can be a little overwhelming she is so charismatic you can't help but love her.

Once we were inside the mall we basically went though every store there was. I knew I would be completely broke by the end of this shopping trip but according to Annabel everything was an absolute essential. Including three different pair of sunglasses, hats, shorts, shirts, dresses, 6 bikinis, undergarments, shoes, jewelry and much more. It got to the point where we could barely hold the bags on our own so I had to stop her when she said going to the next store was also essential.

"Hey Annabel?"

She was still a little pouty that I had ended the shopping spree but asked, "yeah?"

"Well I wanted to get a sixth month anniversary gift for Alex, but I know he can basically buy himself anything he wants and I am really without a clue as to what I should get him, I was hoping you could help?"

"Well.. He loves photography but like you said he basically bought himself everything he wanted. He loves traveling?"

"Well yeah but a little caveat is that I am on a budget so I can't really afford anything too expensive..."

Her eyes suddenly lit up. "I have got the perfect idea and trust me there is no way he won't love it!"

I grinned excitedly and followed her to the store. I was a little confused when I saw the store only had clothes for women. "He wants lingerie?"

"No silly! These are for you!" She said as she grabbed a very see through babydoll.

I couldn't help when my face blushed a crimson red.

She looked confused, "what? You don't think he will love it? Like I know my brother and if there is one thing that he can't buy and he loves well you know it's sex with the woman he loves and that would be you! It is a pretty inexpensive gift if you ask me..."

I tried to open my mouth to explain that Alex and I had not really gotten to that phase in our relationship yet mostly because I was too shy but no words came out.

She kept looking at me like I had grown a second head and said, "what? You can't tell me he doesn't love to have sex with you honestly. I know my brother a little too much and he was always bragging about how he would sleep with his girlfriends within like a week. I know that he loves you because he's still with you even though that week has passed so..."

"So he broke up with his girlfriends after the sex?" I finally asked.

"Well yeah, you didn't know that? I mean that was the only thing that a relationship consisted  of for him at least until he met you."

"We haven't had sex" I blurted out as quickly as I could because I was so embarrassed.

She looked at me like she didn't hear me right and said, "you mean he hasn't ever brought it up?"

"Not really, I mean we just didn't really talk about that before."

She smiled at me happily, "he really does love you then. You know his longest real relationship was probably like a month right?"

"I didn't know that actually. And yeah I hope he does love me since I love him very much."

She gave me a hug while smiling widely, "he finally picked the right girl. Now we need to go look for another gift for him" she said while heading towards the exit.

My heart was beating rapidly in my chest and I don't know what it was that took over me when I said, "wait, do you really think he will like that as a gift?"

She looked at me while thinking then said, "I know he would but that's not something you should take lightly, you should only do it when you feel the time is right with him"

"That's the thing I think the time is right..."

"Hmm, then yes I think he would love it."

We walked out of there with a beautiful baby blue babydoll that matched my eyes and made them pop. My cheeks were slightly red from all the blushing I had done this afternoon.

I thanked Annabel for accompanying me then headed home to relax from all the shopping I did today. When I got home I spotted Alex's car outside which confused me a little since he hasn't called to tell me he'd be coming over. I walked out of the taxi with all the bags which nearly covered me when I saw him walk towards me with a slightly worried slightly angry face.

"Are you alright?? Why didn't you answer any of my calls? I was worried about you!" He exclaimed as he took the bags from my hands.

"What? I'm fine, I didn't get any calls." I said checking my phone then I realized it was dead. "My phone is dead, I'm sorry I was so busy all afternoon I didn't realize It was dead..." I opened the door eyeing him warily.

He set the bags on the living room floor and looked at me with his hands in his pockets looking slightly angry still. "I was worried about you, last I heard you were getting on a taxi and it's been hours since then"

I got slightly annoyed that he was acting like my father so I said "well relax, I'm fine. I do know how to take care of myself you know. I'm sorry I worried you but honestly you don't need to know my location every five seconds"

I could tell my comment ticked him off more and he said, "I don't need to know your location every five seconds but it would be nice if you could let me know that you are safe after getting on a freaking taxi and not answering the phone for six hours."

"Fine I said I was sorry, I don't want to argue in really tired."

I walked over to him and wrapped my arm around his neck pulling him closer to me then gently kissed his lips. "I'm sorry alright? I didn't mean to worry you."

He looked at me then sighed and wrapped his arms around my waist making me feel absolutely safe in his arms then he gently kissed me back, "I just can't lose you baby girl, I want to keep you safe always."

I smiled up at him and kissed his neck softly, "I know."

I watched him slightly bite his lip when I kissed his neck and hold me a little tighter then I slightly pulled back before things got intense. I really have no idea how I am supposed to be all sexy if I get shy when he tries to make out with me.

"Do you wanna see what I bought?" I said to distract him and myself.

"Of course baby girl, show me please."

The rest of the afternoon was spent between me trying on everything I bought, packing it, and watching Grey's anatomy together while eating Thai food he ordered.

It was getting really late and we were still cuddling on the sofa watching Netflix when a really naughty scene played out on the screen between Meredith and Derek. The air between us immediately became charged and I felt electricity run through me when he softly moved his fingers against my thigh.

"You should go home, it's getting late and we have to work early tomorrow you know..."

He groaned in complaint, "can't I spend the night here with you?"

"Why?" I asked immediately.

"Because my house is far and I would have to drive all the way there and then come all the way back to get you and it's already late so I won't really get much sleep."

"But you don't have clothes for tomorrow so you'll have to go to your house anyways" was the first excuse that popped into my head. Even though he had stayed before, I didn't want him to stay with this energy running between us right now.

"Well I actually do have a set of clothes in my car trunk for emergencies, you know I'm always well prepared."

"That's good but," I started to say when he interrupted me by saying "but if you don't feel comfortable with me spending the night it's okay, I respect that you know that."

I wanted to ask him to leave because I could only imagine what could happen if he stayed but at the same time I wanted to cuddle with him all night.

"You can stay" I said softly but with a small reassuring smile.

"You sure?"

"I'm positive"

He looked into my eyes for what seemed like a long time with an unreadable expression then slightly smiled, "okay good, now get up because  you're sitting on my bed for the night"

I felt a little sad but mostly relieved and stuck my tongue out at him while getting up from the sofa. He seemed a little disappointed but kept a smile on his face.

As I laid on my bed a few minutes later I could still feel the electricity coming from the living room. I know that I am not a little girl anymore but I just get so shy when I think of being like that with a guy. I never really talk about it with anyone but I think it is because I had a bad experience with an uncle when I was younger. I tried to stop that train of thought immediately by thinking of Alex's beautiful face.

It took me a while before I could sleep but finally after some time I felt obscurity taking over.
