Today is my engagement my biggest step in life....
I am missing my whole family badly ..
My Dad and my dada I am missing both of them I wanted both of them beside me now....I wanted to hug them ask for their blessings and would also try to confess my feelings to them about Swati.....

I never questioned Maa because she always made decision for my benefit ... I loved her a lot she gave me the family I lost .

I agreed for the marriage she decided for me....I obliged her and followed her like a five year old kid to the shopping mall to do the marketing for my engagement and wears....

It was just ten more hours for my engagement....
I called up my brother ....
"Where are you man ??"
"I said I won't be attending the engagement or the marriage bro....I can't watch you suffer..."
"Are you out of your mind bhai , today is the biggest day of my life and I won't be able to take this step alone yrr....please don't do this...." and I finally broke down on call.
He started stammering...and cooed me down ...
He understood my mental health and promised me to arrive before the engagement....
He said "I am sorry bro , I thought being away will make me feel away from the burden of you not marrying your love...."
"Listen it is not that there is something wrong in Arranged marriage maa and Mr.Dixit also had arranged marriage , maa said to me ..., I will be ok with who ever I will have bhai...I just need your support to start this new life .... "
He agreed and said will be catching the next flight for India...

I was all set in my sherwani ... My head was hung low heart beat was raising too high I was waiting for maa to call for me ... I was sweating ...my palms were wet and forehead held few droplets....

I neither knew the name nor the way she looked....I was just said ,
"She is my friends daughter"
"Why are you so excited ??"
" Keep your Hormones in control"
" Just wait for sometime and she will be yours for all the time..."

Finally mom called for me...she knocked at my door and asked me to come out ...

I stepped out went and stood over the alter as mom instructed me ... I was asked to take the seat ...
I was rubbing my palms in handker chief continuously , I tried to control my tears which were flooding in my eyes to come out I wanted someone whom I loved from my heart to stand in front of me while I exchange rings with her ... Or atleast someone whom I knew about atleast a name....I was looking towards the enterance of the hall from where I guessed the bride's family were  supposed to enter...

Then I heard mom whispering in my ears...."Hold your heart...here she comes !!"

And the next thing I know is that my raging heart beat skipped a beat and I was left with wide open mouth !!!!!

Ritika's POV

"Why am I not allowed to go to the venue with you all ???" I huffed in anger ...
I mean look at me ... I am just a 26 year small girl ... I don't have any anger issues ... I am cute and listen to every thing my mom says and obeys nodding head like a cow....
"Because you will come later we will proceed further with Swati...you should also learn the rituals that are followed in our society....so complete those rituals and come at the venue directly...."mom kinda ordered in her normal fabric toned sweet voice....which would obviously crack down to reveal the large grumping growl of lioness....

I stayed back ... and completed all the rituals which Maria helped me to do....
I was about leave when my phone rang and it was his call....

Yup I know I am sorry it is a small chapter but enjoy reading it today....

I had to do it ... To add something to my story....

I actually followed many author and writer and saw each and every one had a uniqueness in their book/story ...

Even though I am a new budding writer but still a writer I can't cope up with those heavy content writers but still ... My uniqueness will be fun ...
Atleast for me .....

It will be fun I am hell excited...and one more thing....
